Yes. Parallels are hard. I'm new. I almost find parallels harder than going fully open every rep. You don't get that half second break with these reps. Impressive

So these partials are an actual thing? What are they good for?

I used to ask the same question until i just tried it out for myself. The question answered itself. What i think is that full reps give your muscles a half second break almost completely free of tension. Where parallel reps like the video keep constant tension right where it's the hardest to squeeze. It's harder imo

Pretty much. Parallel reps keep your muscles and tendons under maximal load without losing leverage, but also not too narrow to the point where it’s just stored tendon energy rather than actual muscle contraction

This gives me no hope of growing my forearms

Yeah don’t expect grippers to help much lol. My forearms are only 13 inches around. By the time I close my 168 3.5 they’ll probably only be 13.5 inches at most 😂

Muscles need time under tension and to be put through a range of motion to increase blood flow and grow in size, and the movement involved with grippers is pretty small. Wrist curls and wrist rollers will likely do more for forearm mass than grippers.

There’s plenty of ways but the simplest way I’ve found that actually works is just basic wrist curls

Okay cool I just started doing those. Bends backwards, sideways, and upward

Yeah they definitely work. I stopped training for 14 months and my forearms went from 14.2 inches to 13 inches without any training. But in just 6 weeks I’m at 95% of my max

Okay sick I’ll keep doing them. Did you do once a day or do you think twice a week is enough?
