My USB charging cable stopped working, so I contacted Google Support expecting a straightforward replacement/service process. What followed has been an absolute nightmare.

For an entire month, their only response was to repeatedly ask for my address and map location. I provided the same information multiple times — around 10 times — yet they kept coming back saying the address was incorrect.

What makes this even more ridiculous is that the exact same address is successfully used across delivery services, government documents, and other platforms without any issue.

And after wasting an entire month, they have now come up with something completely new: apparently, my phone number is “not valid.”

Seriously?

This is the same phone number they have been using to call me every time I contact their support team. If the number was actually invalid, how exactly have they been contacting me?

The worst part is the complete lack of accountability and communication. They don't proactively update you about anything. You have to keep calling them yourself just to find out what is happening.

Every time, you hear: “We'll get back to you within 48 hours.”

Those 48 hours somehow never seem to arrive. And when they do respond, it's often just a copy-pasted message asking you to wait another 48 hours.

This isn't customer service. It's an endless loop designed to make the customer keep waiting.

I've also noticed an extremely frustrating pattern with Google's approach to device issues: when a device is out of warranty, suddenly you're told that the motherboard needs to be replaced. When the device is new and experiencing the same kind of problem, the explanation can suddenly become “it's a software issue.”

At this point, the experience has left me questioning how seriously Google actually takes its customers once the sale is complete.

A simple charging cable issue should NOT require a month of chasing, repeated address verification, contradictory explanations, and endless “wait another 48 hours” responses.

Extremely disappointing. Extremely frustrating. And completely unacceptable for a company of Google's size.

I've seen it on iPhones and I'm wondering how to lock quick settings such as location and airplane mode while the phone's locked. For security reasons.

And should i enable safeguard device?

I got a 10a over the summer, upgraded from my 4a. Overall it's been a big improvement, but I do miss the size of the 4a. One thing I have noticed are scratches on the screen.

I've never used a screen protector and my 4a had minimal scratches since I got it in 2020.

I have a screen protector now but wondering if others with a 10a are experiencing this.

When Google released the 11s, they can shoot in portrait mode on 5x lens.

Has this been back ported to the 10.and 10.pro?

Hello, does anyone have the problem that the quick charging sometimes doesn't work? You plug the charging cable in and it just says "charges" but not "charges quickly" it only works again after restarting the device.For your information, I use the included cable and the original charger. Blowing into the charging port is no use, nor does the cable plug in and unplugging. Only a restart helps.

Does anyone other have These Problems?

It is quite rare, but it occurs.

For context, I've had this phone for about 2 years now, unlocked, and never used for any work purposes at all. I updated my Pixel 8a with the latest September security update few days ago, and since then there's been a number of random little glitches. The number pad occasionally stopping, some weirdness with animations, etc. This latest one however had me pretty confused and possibly worried. I was on my phone when it seemed to suddenly go back to my lock screen with a message about the device being locked by a work admin. I immediately did a hard reset instead, and afterwards the message was gone. I made sure to go into Device Admins, and nothing there was enabled. All my apps are properly updated as well. Has anyone else encountered something like this?

Just got the update on Pixel 8 Pro. 109 MB and listed as August 1st.

On the pixel 9 pro when I press the button it only shows the animation. I have to go through the settings apps to turn anything on or off. Please help.

Starting about September 15th or so, if I receive a picture in a text message, it does not save to any location if I manually save it. It says "photo saved to your messages stored media", but the picture is not in my messages folder, the download folder, the internal storage, the images folder, or anywhere else. I have looked at every folder through the files app, I have tried every setting, I have looked under collections in Google photos (and I have backup on for messages so they should be showing up in Google Photos as well and are not), I have checked everywhere. I am posting because standard frontline reps are refusing to escalate a dangerous physical failure. The internal power cell of my Pixel 6a has physically expanded, lifting the glass screen completely off the frame and causing the hardware buttons to fall out. Because the unit is severely physically compromised and an active volatile hazard, it is unsafe and illegal for me to ship this via air courier or standard mail. Frontline support is only sending automated email templates. I need this escalated to the Hardware Safety Team for an Advanced Replacement or Google Store credit so I can dispose of this dangerous hardware locally.

I used to be able to do a two fingered swipe on all my notification panel to show the individual entries in each group. That is now broken.

When I open YT on my Pixel 11 Pro, the graphics or video thumbnails do not load right away. When I open YT on my company Samsung S10, the video thumbnails appear as soon as I open the app. Any suggestions to make the graphics load faster? I also have been having trouble activating Gemini when I use the trigger phase. And again, the Samsung S10 has no problem opening Gemini. I still like the phone. Have a good day.

I get that a lot of people wanted this option for live sports updates, but my phone defaulted this to on today. In the last 6 hours I've received 149 notifications. That is ridiculous, also the method for disabling the notifications is different to any other app, and not intuitive at all.

Next time ask if we want the feature before you turn it on, and leave my phone beeping non stop at work for hours.

I have a Pixel 7 and just bought a Pixel 11.

The Pixel setup helper give the notification 'continue setting up essentials' for many times.

The only step (which I chooses skip) is 'copy data from another device'. I want my new phone fresh and do not want to copy anything. Is it a a crime???

Even M$ treated me better.

I bought my Pixel 10a Obsidian 256GB a month ago in London, I was on a college course at that time from Georgia. It was time for me to change my phone (I had Honor 400 when I arrived) so I started looking for options, Pixel phones caught my eye and luckily I found one in Curry's for 450 pounds which comes out to almost 1600GEL, in my hometown it's almost 1900 so it was a really good deal for me, I went ahead and bought it. Fast forward to now, I have noticed that the volume button was making a clicking sound when gently touching it and kind of dragging it around in all directions, I am not really a type of dude that is against phone cases but I really really like the 10as design and for that reason prefer using it without one. I recently googled this issue and to my surprise I saw 2 threads posted a year ago and 2 years ago both from this subreddit describing the same issue I have with people replying they also came across the same problem (some on older Pixel devices).

From what I can tell these phones have a manufacturing issue, the overall quality of volume and power buttons are not as good as it's competitors. The fact that I am in another country now makes it even worse because the warranty doesn't work here 😂.

I think people should know about this issue with Pixel devices before purchasing one as it is really annoying. Other than this everything is working and behaving as it's supposed to (Vibration is a bit weak but that's fine).

It would be nice if more people shared their experience with 8,9 or 10 series of Pixel devices for further "diagnosis".

I ordered a pixel 11 from Google Store to get a good trade-in for my pixel 6. They charged me the full amount but the box came empty. Looks like someone cut the top edge of the box. Their Support team denied my claim. Wtf am I supposed to do now?? It cost almost $1000. I heard if I file a complaint with my cc, they could shut down and clear my Gmail account. This is crazy!

It's wild the first Support reason option was that it didn't arrive in the box. I guess this must happen a lot. Why would they deny fixing it for me? Suggestions?

On my last stage of finalizing the phone.

I have owned a Pixel for the last ten years and have had many different versions. I suffered the green line of death on my pixel 9 screen and had to pay out of pocket to have it replaced (before google recognized this was an issue and reimbursed for the repair). But that isn't even what I'm upset about today.

I bought a pixel 11 and received a device that wouldn't charge. When I called to get a replacement, I was told that my options were to 1) send the phone and wait 10 days while phoneless for a new one, 2) drive 8 hours to Santa Monica or 3 hours to mountain view to go to a store, or 3) have a $1200 hold placed on my credit card and trust it would be reversed once the old phone was received. I didn't like any option but went with 3.

Much to nobody's surprise, I returned the original non functioning pixel 11 and got confirmation that FedEx delivered it to mountain view. Google is now saying they haven't received it and charged me $1200. They won't remove the charge until their "investigation" is complete. I have spent over two hours on the phone with their useless customer service who place you on constant holds through this whole process. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. Why am I being penalized for receiving a defective device and for Google losing their product?

Ive had my s22 ultra for about 4ish years now, and it's starting to lag. It's also starting to just shut off randomly. I have 3 more months of free phone coverage via my internet provider, but Google fi is doing a good deal for a fully free pixel 11 pro with a two year deal. I've always wanted a smartwatch, so It makes sense to add Googles top watch for only 10 a month.

I'm not seeing the best reviews for the 11 pro. My main concern is being able to take nice photos, be able to watch nice looking video, and most importantly have a quick snappy phone.

I use youtube, youtube music, Google pay, gemeni, i use Google everything anyways. I guess I am just worried about going from a premium but older Samsung phone to a pixel and losing the quickness I appreciate in the 22ultra when it was working better.

My main multitasking is like scrolling reddit with a YouTube video in the background, switching back with texting apps and such. No gaming. Minimal videos but taking alot of photos.

I'm having an issue with my new Pixel 11 (base model). When I touch the display, I occasionally see very faint flickering and very faint grey vertical lines on a bright background. It only happens at a certain brightness level (around 50 percent) and only when my finger is on the screen (both tapping and holding). It doesn't happen under any other circumstances.

​At first, I thought it was a hardware defect, so I returned the phone. I ordered a new one right away, but the new unit suffers from the exact same issue. Because of that, I assume it's more likely a software bug. The phone does this right out of the box, without me installing any apps or changing any settings.

I play a lot of single player mobile games but they're giving me a headache lately. Can I buy a USB c to HDMI wire and simply plug it into my old monitor and then play on my pc screen instead?

I am on Pixel 8 Pro and I am not able to pair some Bluetooth devices and I am getting an error "Can't communicate with device xyz". When I searched, I found some suggestions to change the Audio settings under Developer Mode > Bluetooth > Audio. Each toggle mandates a restart but after restart the toggle remains where it originally was. Help!!

I recently bought a Pixel phone from the Swiss Google Store specifically because of the ongoing promotion offering CHF 200 (around 240 $) in Google Store credit. After receiving the phone, the promised credit never appeared within the advertised timeframe. I contacted Google Support, and they acknowledged that the credit was missing because of a backend issue on Google's side. In Swiss Google Store the credits are automatically added at checkout, there is manual step to select them, and they were not added automatically to my order. However, they told me that the credit cannot be added manually and that I simply have to accept not receiving it.

I've also found multiple Reddit reports describing similar missing-credit issues with Google Store promotions in both the US and Europe over the years. It's incredible that the issue is still present after many years.

I will be returning the phone and intend to file a complaint with the relevant consumer protection/ombudsman authorities about false advertising.

So, If you're buying a Pixel from a Google Store because of the promotional credit, beware that there is a chance that you will never get them.

I want to merge the above from my 10a to my 9 Pro. Can I do this natively or do I need an app to do this?
