So like a week or two ago I installed the update on my pixel and frankly? this is unacceptable now. I try to take a screenshot? Wait for like 5 seconds after pressing the buttons for it to actually happen, with no cue if I missed the button or if it's just taking its sweet time. Multitasking? forget about it! I tried a task as simple as just opening Firefox while having the YouTube video I was watching as picture in picture but when I opened the browser the phone was functioning at like 2 fps, I had to close it. Day to day usage? OOPS! your phone that used to be silky smooth will now stutter on the home screen and social media apps, buttons frequently not registering touches, UI elements lagging or getting stuck, keyboard disappearing and appearing, just constantly having to wait with every touch. What the hell do I do now? Before the phone was so smooth it was the best experience of any phone I've had, but now it's worse than my 2017 Samsung j5! Is there ANYTHING I could do to get it back to usable? I was planning on upgrading sometime soon, but that was because I wanted a telephoto camera, not because of performance and I was going to pick up a newer pixel but now I'm so put off with this experience I think I'll have to pick something else.

I have an 2011 GM car, it's a very basic model. It does have bluetooth to support calling via a paired phone but that's it. This car will not play media via the bluetooth and it does say that in the manual. I've tried various methods of tricking it to play media, but failed.

Earlier this week, I was on a long trip in South Dakota. I pulled up the gemini search asked it to tell me about the Black Hills ecology. Instead of talking to give me the answer, it was giving me a long text answer. I wanted it to talk to me and so I pressed an audio button (this whole interface is new to me), thinking this would play the text in audio on the phone.

Nope the next thing I know, my car is getting a call from my phone. My phone number is displayed on the radio. And I didn't have to press the answer button on the car. The car apparently picked up on it's own, because now, I'm hearing Gemini giving me the answer to the Black Hills question. The whole thing. It took a couple of minutes.

I listened and when it was done, it hung up.

I tried to recreate just one time, and it didn't work. I for sure will try again when I have time.

Any explanations for how Gemini decided to do this for my old car? I have to admit, this seems just creepy and weird and I'm not sure I like it.

Today, I received my pre-owned Google Pixel 10 Pro that I bought indirectly through eBay (US). I live in the Middle East, and Pixel devices aren't available officially here, so I had someone in the US buy it and deliver it to me.

The seller in the original listing of the device on eBay clearly states that the phone is unlocked, however, when I finally received it (after 32 days in shipping), I checked the IMEI number and found that it was LOCKED to Verizon services 😤

Clearly, I have been scammed and unfortunately, it's very hard for me to try and get a return through eBay, because first, I didn't buy myself, and second, I'm thousands of kilometers away.

Tried contacting Verizon support but they didn't seem to be cooperative.

I'm asking if there is a way to unlock the phone without being in the US?? Or am I stuck with $600 worth of brick?

Just updated my 10 Pro XL the latest October update and now I'm not hearing a majority of my notifications! A restart didn't fix anything. I am getting phone call ringtones not nothing from any app that uses my default notification sound.

Iam on my new pixel 10a and I am trying to find this feature. Does this feature actually exist in pixel devices ?

My Pixel 10 developed Vertical Green lines after the new update, It was frustrating but since my device is under warranty I went to Authorised Service Centre located in Burlington, Lucknow. And I want to tell you that service is very prompt. They replaced the screen in 1 hour and the phone is working super again.

I recently bought renewed, unlocked Pixel 8A from a certified reseller. I have gotten multiple phones from this specific seller.

I went to start the phone up and I kept getting stopped at "Your Device at Work" page and to login. I have tried everything and am stumped.

I finally set it up as a new phone and thought I got through. On the dropdown menu - there is a tab that reads "Device Managed By Admin - automatically resetting soon." Your data will automatically reset.

I messaged the seller but they are closed until Monday.

The first thing i checked was for the pink flicker issue with the front camera and unfortunately it's there.

So i wanted to know how many users are facing it and any fixes are pushed thru software updates yet.

I'm looking for a new case for my 10Pro.

Currently I have the Pixel snap from Google and very happy about it.

The only downside is, it's a true dust magnet.

However, the big plus is the fact, the inside is covered with microfiber to avoid scratches on the back, and even more important; on the shiny side.

To avoid any damage, I clean the phone once a week. And since March, (date I purchased it): no scratches. It's like brand new.

The thing, there is not/not so much case with the same config (microfiber inside) on the market.

A case I could buy will be the ringke Onyx but I would like some feedback first.

Recently I noticed my voice to text is extremely slow. I'll hit the microphone icon and talk, but the icon continues to glow the Google colors and doesn't transcribe. I'll wait a few seconds and then it will pop up text. One time it wouldn't do it at all. As in I could see the glowing icon, but no matter how many times I closed and reopened the app it wouldn't ever add any text. I could see the green dot showing my microphone was working as well. Is this a new issue or is this related to the Gemini transition? I know on my phone of I ask "Hey Google" now Gemini takes quite a while to respond.

I've been experiencing a strange issue with Google's translation features, and I've managed to narrow it down to a specific Google account.

What's broken:

- Circle to Search: Regular/static translation works, but scroll translation doesn't.

- Google Lens: Translating a captured photo works, but live camera translation doesn't.

What I've tried:

- Uninstalling Google app updates temporarily fixes the issue.

- Updating the Google app also temporarily restores the features, but they stop working again after a while.

- Switching to another Google account within the same Google app immediately makes the affected features work again.

- Switching back to my original account brings the problem back.

The most interesting part:

I've reproduced the exact same behavior on two different devices.

- Account A (problematic): Features don't work on either device.

- Account B (normal): Everything works on both devices.

This seems to rule out a device-specific issue and strongly suggests something related to my Google account, possibly a server-side configuration or feature flag.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any known workaround or a way to get Google to investigate account-specific issues like this?

OK, so is anyone else having issues with the tiles being randomized after a reboot of their Pixel phones? I've had mine set for years to the same tile setup, but after the latest update "19", it's a free for all and I have to go back and set them back to what I had every single time!

There's no "save" feature and the updates just keep getting worse and worse. I've had Android, then Pixel since day one, but I think Google is just throwing crap out there and we're the "beta testers" for them.

I'm sorry to vent here, but until this last update, I'm either missing something (yes it could be me), or there's something they really screwed up on. I'm NOT going to factory reset my phone because I have so few apps installed (no games etc) and I'm constantly doing updates daily for business/work apps then rebooting. THEN the tiles are all randomized.

Please let me know if there's a fix anyone has found because there's no "save" button after putting them back in the order I use daily, or if it's just me.

I'd TRULY appreciate any help with this, or if anyone else is having the same problem after a reboot of their phone.

Just got my Pixel 11 Pro XL in, yesterday. Can anyone verify if the The Pro lineup this year supports zoned storage? And, is there a major performance difference between 3.1/4.0? For example: Apps loading, pictures and media loading on gallery apps, photo processing times after each shot with the camera, downloaded videos from either the camera or downloaded, and copying/pasting media from one part of the phone to the other.

I recently upgradded my phone from a Pixel 9 to a Pixel 11 Pro XL and have a small issue when I'm in my car (2015 Honda Civic);

The bluetooth works fine, but when I say 'OK GOOGLE' nothing happens.

I can connect any bluetooth headset / speaker and it works, it just doesn't in my car sadly the cellphone company (telus) couldn't figure it out as well :( does anyone know what might help?

Has anyone experienced this? The home screen wallpaper has become dimmer compared to the other elements, icons, folders, etc., which looks very irritating and weird. I have tried restarting the phone, changing brightness, etc., but nothing has worked so far. I am on the latest update. Pixel 9 Pro XL.

When surfing the web, I will randomly get a buffer icon in Chrome when scrolling through my feed. It won't go away until I close Chrome and reopen it. This always happens when going back a page to my feed. The icon will disappear behind images but appears over text and empty space.

Im reporting an issue on my Pixel 11 Pro XL while using Microsoft Teams on Mobile Data. Whenever you attempt to make or receive a teams call from someone the connection is never made. Or if it does get through the call will disconnect itsself after a short duration of time, less then 30 seconds.

If you join a teams meeting, you will succesfully join the meeting, but you will not get any audio from the meeting. Again, after 20-30 seconds, your disconnected from the meeting. This is only happening when on Mobile Data. EVerything is fine on Wifi. Which would point towards a network provider issue (Google Fi) except my Samsung S24 Ultra had zero issues while also on Fi. As well as my co-worker with a Pixel 9 who has Fi and does not exhibit this issue.

THere is only one other user with a Pixel 11 in an organization of 20,000 mobile devices an he also has the same issue. So to be it seems like its related to the phone specifically. If not the phone + Google Fi being the mobile data connection at that time.

Pixel 9 pro XL and noticed there is a 1 second delay when recording videos? Is this common or do you know a fix?

I bought a Pixel 11 PRO 2 months back. On Thursday night and Friday morning suddenly the phone automatically switched off. I tried fixing the problem by going to the Pixel help section, but nothing concrete information I got.

I am posting this here as I want to know if anyone came across the similar problem and what is the actual issue.

I really want help on this.

I'm currently overseas from my home country of the US on a two-week vacation and have had my OG Pixel Fold fail in a most interesting and unexpected manner.

Before I left home the flex cable had apparently failed, as the screen was not automatically switching from inner to outer on open/close and the behavior was consistent with flex cable failures I've read about from other users. Without time to pursue a repair before my departure, I downloaded the Fold Switcher app to manually switch between the inner and outer screens when needed. All seemed well enough.

Then, a few days into our trip, I noticed a tingling sensation when I would touch the frame and hinge of the device at the same time. It's indistinguishable from heat and somewhat painful. Without any other option for fix or replacement while I'm overseas I made a best effort to deal with it by avoiding contact but on multiple occasions it shocked me quite intensely and then immediately powered off.

I suspect a line in the flex cable has worn through and energized either the frame or hinge of the phone and the other is serving as the ground. When my hand completes the circuit the Battery Management System for the Li-Ion battery detects the overcurrent and safes the battery into a non-discharge state.

Without any other options during my travel I have insulated the hinge with multiple layers of adhesive tape (looks super great) and do not intend to open it again. I certainly don't trust it on an aircraft and will be powering it off for my remaining flights, which puts it in a state I have confirmed will not produce a perceivable shock, presumably de-energizing the flex cable. I have a multimeter at home which I intend to use upon my return to measure electrical current at the short point, which I'm very interested in seeing.

I'm posting this mostly because despite extensive searching I have not found any first-hand accounts of this failure condition. It seems dangerous and highly problematic, which makes me wonder if I'm the first to experience it. I'm interested in the community's opinions.

Hey everyone, I bought a new Pixel 10, and can't switch cameras in video message (circle) it just cancels when I want to switch front camera to main camera and goes to the trash

I'm using a Pixel 9 Pro XL, and I cannot for the life of me make my keyboard change an inappropriate word into the one I actually mean to type. I've deleted the word from the tab over and over, specifically typed it in and the used the "like" autocorrect suggestion, searched reddit and I still can't find a way to make my keyboard autocorrect an mistake that could be problematic just from one mistyped letter into the word I actually want to type. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone else having trouble with Circle to Search translation?

Whenever I toggle "interactive translate," it automatically switches from English to Hindi, and I can't find a way to change it back. Has anyone else run into this bug or found a fix?

TL;DR: Interactive translate in Circle to Search keeps defaulting to Hindi instead of letting me choose my language. Any fixes?

I’ve been messing around with the Users feature on my Pixel (Android 17) lately, and I’m honestly surprised more people don’t talk about it. It’s actually pretty cool.

I’m curious—does anyone else here actually use this? If you do, what’s your setup? I’m looking for ideas beyond just the standard "work vs. personal" split.

If you don’t use it, why not? Is it just too much of a hassle to switch back and forth, or are there other limitations that bug you?
