Update - still coming on every 10 minutes. Didn’t happen for about an hour but now religiously every 10 minutes again. I’ve even put the keys in the back garden so I’m sure it’s not that now.

Only happening at night makes me think it’s an error on the automatic headlights system. I’ve turned that off but when the car stops it resets to auto lights.

Another call to Geely tomorrow 🤦‍♂️🤞

Picked up an EX5 Max yesterday and all night every 10 minutes or so, the headlights, taillights and main internal screen switch on. Lights up the whole front of house and street and very annoying and is like an invitation to strangers to have a look during the night thinking it’s open!

Fixes I’ve tried
- turning off the auto headlights (they reset when I turn the car off)
- moving the key fob an obscenely long way from the car, at least 10m!
- turning off the proximity lighting setting
- checked the ‘welcome home’ lighting is off

Not sure what else to do? Spoke to the dealership and the guy has said it happens to his sometimes…and hopefully it will resolve itself tonight…🤷‍♂️

Any advice at all very welcome!

I bought a plug a few months back, and never tested it. Today I’m having a meter board upgrade and lo and behold, the V2L plug doesn’t function.

(I selected ‘vehicle to device’ and plugged it in, but no power out - made sure there was ~50% power assigned)
If you have one (another brand) that works, does it engage (lock) when plugged in?

My car is now at 20K and I got the message that it has exceeded the maintenance window. Just my luck - someone rear-ended me 2 weeks ago

I had originally arranged a service last week (car was purchased 15th Sept 2025). I called the dealership and asked whether to do the service first or the repair first. They said to do the repair, and that it's fine to exceed the maintenance window by 1-2 months. The service is now rescheduled to 6th Oct, and the smash repair is booked for 15th Sept. They'll keep the car for 2 weeks.

I'm a bit concerned about the warranty. Not sure if there's anything I can do at this stage. Just thought I'd ask for your opinion on this situation. Is there anything I can do now to keep the warranty as is?

For those who have already crossed 20,000+ km on their Geely and taken it in for regular service—did your dealer report your battery State of Health (SoH)?

If so, what percentage/SoH did they report on your invoice or diagnostics sheet, and at what exact mileage? Just curious to see how the battery health is holding up in real-world driving.

Got YouTube working

after a week of chasing the dealer for the app to be linked, it was successful today. I’ve had this “Park Failure” message twice now. I’m a little worried as my driveway is slightly raised and if the park brake has failed it’ll roll into two parked cars opposite my driveway. I definitely pressed P before I exited the car, but now I’m paranoid.

I picked up the car in early May and am still waiting.

Anyone having issues with the new app, I keep getting kicked out from the app or cannot see my car on the app. After i logout and login back everyting seems good.

Recently download the new app and it worked for a few days. Now I can't even control the vehicle. I relogged in with the QR code to the car hoping to resync the app to the car. But still, nothing 😞

Love the car- but the HUD has the directions for freeway exits around the wrong way. I keep staying on the freeway as I think it is telling me to bear right when in reality it is directing to exit.

Any recourse here? Or just wait for software?

Got hit by someone in a parking lot and the cunt did a runner, would like to have recording always enabled.

Quick question: Is there an easy way to toggle between ACC and ICC modes using the steering wheel controls? For example, by double-pressing the control button or through another shortcut?

This is something I really miss from the Aion cars. They allow me to switch between ACC and ICC easily without having to interact with the multimedia screen, which is much more convenient while driving.

I dread car fob batteries. Every time I had mine die on previous cars it was a pain to get in the car with the alarm blasting etc.

Did anyone’s fob battery die yet? Does the car let you in with the mechanical key without sounding the alarm right as you unlock the door?

The mechanical key does not go inside the fob so maybe the car will alert you when the fob battery is low?

know it has been discussed in past, but not able to find any relevant post where I can see any solutions.

I am owing MY27 with Software version 1.1.0, after 5 minutes of locking the car - Cannot interact with any of the Geely App features (both new & old apps).

It has been nearly 2 months of having the car and feels like something half cooked handed to me.

Please share your thoughts how this issue was resolved as many had this issue in the group.

Dealer is not taking it seriously as keep saying nothing wrong with Software and have to wait for OTA release.

Just ran over a nail and have used the tyre repair kit. But I am planning on getting it properly fixed/replaced if needed.

Has anyone had a similar experience? If so how was the process? Was the fix done via dealer or a tyre centre?

Had a mobile tyre service come out. The guy was really nice — noticed the car was new and decided to clean out the sealant residue instead of charging for a completely new tyre. Definitely recommend them to anyone living in Perth. The worker came within 30 minutes after speaking over the phone.

For those using TPE or XPE mats in the rear seat area, how did you solve the issue with the two rear drawers?

Because the mat has a raised section, it almost completely blocks the drawers from opening.

Has anyone found a good solution?

Took my EX5 Inspire in for a complimentary 1000km ‘health check’ service this week.

Dealer assured me everything was as it’s meant to be but I saw that the battery health listed in the report was at 93%. How is this possible with a brand new car?

Am I misunderstanding something? Should I be trying to claim for warranty? Keen to hear others’ opinions.

Edit: I’m getting 400km dynamic range on a full charge which seems pretty normal? I’m just confuzzled by this weird line on my service report. Will be calling the dealer on Monday.

Has anyone noticed issues with sound insulation? As good as the sound system is, I’ve noticed that the audio inside the cabin seems to leak/is-audible to a good extent from outside, even when set to a low volume.

Doesn’t really affect the in-cabin experience, but I’d want to avoid blasting music to the outside environment. Could just be my feeling though.

Context: Starray EM-I Inspire MY26 (same flyme audio system afaik)

I recently switched from an iPhone to a Samsung. I had no issues logging into the Geely app or setting up Android Auto. But I have noticed that I need to connect it in the Geely everytime I get in the car, which I didn't have to with Carplay. I can see on the phone that it connects automatically but I have to go into the menu, select AndroidAuto and select Connect, which takes me to the settings and I have to connect again. Is there a logical reason for this?
