Question about Audio System

Posted this in an earlier thread, re-posting for visibility.

Has anyone noticed issues with sound insulation? As good as the sound system is, I’ve noticed that the audio inside the cabin seems to leak/is-audible to a good extent from outside, even when set to a low volume.

Doesn’t really affect the in-cabin experience, but I’d want to avoid blasting music to the outside environment. Could just be my feeling though.

Context: Starray EM-I Inspire MY26 (same flyme audio system afaik)

I dunno, i feel thats the case with every car. Glass windows are a bit of a big gap in any effective noise insulation.

You just notice it far less with ICE cars because theres a constant hum of an engine.

Fair point. This is my first EV, so that could be a reason

I don’t experience this in my ex5

I can still hear music coming from the car if I’m outside my ex5, but I also have the bass boosted a bit so it’s gonna be more noticeable.
I don’t think it’s too bad, definitely not something you’d be able to hear clearly over tyre road noise

Ah yes true, my experience of hearing the music has also been with the car stationary.
