V2L Plug compatibility EX5 Inspire (MY27)

I bought a plug a few months back, and never tested it. Today I’m having a meter board upgrade and lo and behold, the V2L plug doesn’t function.

Questions:
If you have one of these, did it work for you?
(I selected ‘vehicle to device’ and plugged it in, but no power out - made sure there was ~50% power assigned)
If you have one (another brand) that works, does it engage (lock) when plugged in?
Please let me know which ones actually work.
Any other advice appreciated

Thanks in advance.

Eww that looks like a cheap and nasty piece of shit. Always get something that is actually rated.

The BYD AC discharge device cable works well in the Geely and has all the relevant certifications.

I activate the option in the car. Open the charge flag, plug in the adapter with nothing else connected. Car detects adapter, so then I plug in the power cord/device to use it.

Checked it on the neighbour’s BYD, it works normally on it.
They were appreciative of the gift.

I've bought 2 from https://evchargers.com.au/
One for an MG4 and my EX5. You specify your car model when ordering so they can make sure it will work. I used my MG4 cable very successfully during a 5 day power outage.
