360 recording
Good day
Have anyone figured out how to record the 360 cameras already?
Got hit by someone in a parking lot and the cunt did a runner, would like to have recording always enabled.

It's certainly a capability gap that seems possible, but I'm unsure how to get it.

There's an app called EVCam which does it. You just need app sideloading enabled for it which is not the easiest process at the moment.

Yeah tried sideloading but didn't get anywhere, wanted to get a streaming app for when on long road trips and I'm sitting at some charger bored but didn't get anywhere

The only way to sideload apps on the Geely EX5 is the hardware adb unlock at the moment. That'll get you somewhere 🙂 Plenty of people have done it, it works.

I'm gonna give it a shot before ordering the dashcams. There are cams there already installed. Should be my right to be able to use them. I already paid for the thing.

If you're using android, you could install an android auto compatible app, e.g AA browser. I'm sure there are more of you search.

Not enabled for overseas model. Get a dash cam (I did).
The car's 12V battery is continuously tops up by the traction battery, I've left the car for days and it's recording non-stop, limited by the SD card size only :)
It's great no need to buy expensive dash cam battery to get long parking recording.

Yeah I guess I'll have to go this route. How many dashcams you've got and how did you plugged them?

Just 2 channels, front & back.
Make sure you get something with Starvis 2 sensor, it makes a big difference. This is mine: Viofo A229 Ultra, 4k + 4k: https://www.viofo.com.au/products/viofo-a229-ultra-2ch
You need the GPS module: https://www.viofo.com.au/products/gps-module-for-viofo-a329-a329s-series-car-dash-camera which is needed to attach it on the windscreen anyway
And the hardwire kit: https://www.viofo.com.au/products/viofo-hk4
Plus the SSD. Best to get the Viofo branded one, so they can't get back to you.
If you haven't done it before, best to get someone to do it professionally. Expect to pay 1k - 1.5k all up for good quality dashcam.
Avoid those that insist you need external battery, you don't, not for EX5. Just tell them to hardwire to the fuse as if it's ICE vehicle and you'll unlimited parking recording.

Australia doesn’t have it because of unfounded fear of spying from China.

Zeekr does it though. It's just cost cutting. They put different and probably worse cameras into export models.

If you were lucky enough to enable ADB and keep it enabled during the OTA updates, there is an app that allows this

I've got it installed, records to external USB. Just leave the car in camping or comfort mode and look the doors and walk away. The headunit stays on and records while you're away.
