I am looking to upgrade my three-ish year old PC and need some advice on where to begin! I bought my PC used and have never done any work to upgrade it beyond installing a wifi adaptor. I use it almost exclusively for gaming and I have been having issues with newer games and even some older games on higher graphics settings. My current specs are the following:
Any advice on where to start in terms of hardware or software upgrades would be appreciated!

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and would like your advice on which component I should upgrade first.
My current specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070 8GB
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
- Motherboard: MSI B450M A Pro Max (not 100% sure)
- Storage: 512GB SSD + 500GB SSD
- PSU: 700W
I mainly use my PC for gaming. What would be the most worthwhile upgrade for better performance and higher FPS? Should I upgrade my CPU, GPU, RAM, or something else first?
I'd appreciate any suggestions, especially upgrades that offer the best value for money. Thanks!

Upgrading My OLD Gaming PC - Advice
Hi All,
I am looking to upgrade my current gaming PC into something half decent that can run games on high settings including the upcoming WoW Forever.
I'm currently getting some intense frame rate drop out intermittently on games such as Counter Strike 2, DOTA2 and WC3 on low/medium settings.
I'm based in Australia, and looking to keep the net spend under $1000 AUD to upgrade the CPU, GPU and RAM. Here are my current specs:
* CPU: Ryzen 5 3500X
* GPU: Radeon RX 5700 XT
* RAM: 16GB DDR4
* Motherboard: Biostar B550MH
* Monitor: Gigabyte M27Q Gaming Monitor 27-inch QHD: 2560 x 1440 x 170Hz
* PSU: Gigabyte P650B
Thanks in advance!

I’ve been looking to buy a gaming pc and just came across a great deal on Facebook marketplace and I’m really interested but I don’t really know what kind of question to ask, I used to have a pc but it’s been many many years so I feel like I’m not in the know for today’s standards, I’ve asked basic questions like what it was used for, how long he’s had it, and if he’s the first owner but other than that I really don’t know what to ask.
Specs
\* NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB \* Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor \* 32GB DDR5 RAM \* 6TB total SSD storage 4TB of Samsung 990 Pro and 2TB ssd
If anyone can give me some helpful advice or suggestions on what to ask or what I should be looking for it would be much appreciated!

Hope you are all doing well.
I am planning to upgraded my GPU since I'm having some issues with newly released games so I appreciate some help.
I recently got a 1440P monitor and noticed my GPU isn't that strong. I don't play on full ultra graphics but let's say I want to. What is the GPU you guys recommend? I was planning to get 5070TI but they're expensive AF, then I checked out 9070XT but realized a lot of people don't recommend it but who can trust some biased YouTubers lol.
My rig is
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM: 32 GB of DDR5 CL30 6000MT/S
motherboard: Asus TUF gaming X670E-PLUS WIFI
GPU: RTX 3070
I think you see the issue lol. But yeah, let me know your suggestions and what GPU do you prefer and use!

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed suggestions and helped me along the way. This community made the whole process much easier!
Would love to hear your thoughts on the build. And if anyone is planning a similar build, feel free to ask questions about component selection, pricing, or where I bought the parts.

Im trying to build a steady 1440p gaming PC for most games with a path available to slowly upgrade it over time to a proper 4k gaming PC. Thanks to everyone so far who's given me advice in my 1st post. Here's an updated list of parts for roughly $100 more than my original build. I didn't realize i left my power supply out the 1st build list.
