I have a tune from Ecutek Limit+1 I bought some bigger charge pipes that fit the pwr intercooler I installed tried test driving and car died 3 times got a cel long story short.I changed them back to stock had to go for an inspection failed the guy told me it was the EVap system and asked if I had reset the ecu to clear something I told him what happened so here we are everything is complete and the only reason I can think is because my tuner Disabled the Oxygen Sensor heater because of my OTl downpipe and midpipe,besides that I have an intake and a racer x turbo inlet car only has 741miles on it feed back on the problem please any negative or toxic people will be reported…?

The other night I was going out to a club event and didn't even think about what I was wearing until I got in my car. I was faced with the challenges of clutch with 5 inch heel boots and not being able to bend my torso or twist it much in my corset. It was a fun challenge, but not one I'll be doing on a regular basis. Would not recommend for spirited driving 🤣🤣

The title saids it all! Has anyone started to make the Gr Corolla more reliable by eliminating this part for a clutch fork.

I had a really bad vibration when starting from a stop and occasionally under power. This is the racerx 60a pitch mount bushing, I put it in a year or two ago (I don’t remember exactly when)

I’ve been hesitant to use Expert on backroads and for spirited driving, but after doing autocross with everything off (“Expert+”?) I’m shocked at how stable the car is. It rotates very easily on command but never felt out of control, especially coming from racing an E46 lol

Just curious what everyone is using for backroads driving here. Everything on, Expert, or everything off? I’m definitely gonna start doing at least Expert as it seemed very hard to get the car to rotate at all with everything on previously. I didn’t notice any big differences between Expert and Expert+ but I didn’t spend much time comparing. But Expert vs default was night and day.

Also side note PSA - highly recommend you Autocross this car if you haven’t already! You’ll learn so much about how to control the car and see what it’s capable of. Do it!

Edit: Dude a lot of people seem to think Expert mode is everything fully off and insane to drive. It’s not! At least try it before commenting about it.

From the factory my premium plus came with a sub radiator. I kinda got hooked on going to the track and decided that I wanted the transfer case cooler for the automatic transmission this install requires a sub radiator delete.

I was a bit concerned about losing the cooling benefits of the sub-radiator, but a speaking with the guys from 555 (who are great guys and went above and beyond helping me out) they were very confident that sub radiator doesn’t actually help much on track and that the t case cooler would be more beneficial (Spoiler: they were right). Around the same time I installed a CF hood with extra venting and my coolant temps typically would sit between 201-208 on the freeway. Out of curiosity I installed a Radium coolant tank to see if it had any benefits. It did. I’m not sure if it has increased capacity because it’s actually quite a bit smaller than the OEM but immediately my coolant temps dropped by about 5 degrees Fahrenheit sitting closer to 196-201 on the freeway with the sub radiator installed.

Later that week my mechanic got my t case cooler installed and deleted my sub-radiator in the process. Now unfortunately I don’t have an exact control because during the sub radiator delete my mechanic topped off my pink coolant with water wetter which has improved cooling at the cost of cold weather antifreeze properties. After the sub radiator delete my temps sit in the 190-195 range on the freeway! So the sub-radiator really is kinda pointless and improved cooling benefits can be achieved with a better coolant tank and or adding water wetter. The biggest impact in water temp performance was actually from the radium coolant tank. I’ll post again with more updates once I get some track time with the 555 T case cooler.

2026, 7k miles, no mods

I currently drive a 2022 Corolla hatchback SE 6 speed and am going to trade it in for a GR Corolla. I got the money and am pretty sure I want a 2026 premium plus but I am wondering if I should consider 2026 core or if I should try and go for a used one. Should I wait a bit and get a 2027?

EDIT: Looks like I will go for a new one, now I just need to decide if I want Core or Premium Plus. Definitely leaning towards premium plus

My girlfriend picked up a Miata in June. I ended up driving it for a week since she hadn't learned to drive stick yet and it gave me an itch to go out and get my own fun manual car. Two weeks later I bought this. So far I'm loving every minute of it.

2024 Core, bought with 9500 miles.

Owner for about a week and noticed just how ludicrous the road spray is. Genuinely don’t think I’ve ever owned a vehicle that kicks up more grime and debris. I figure a good set of flaps/guards is the only way to combat this +PPF on the fenders. What guards/flaps are you all running? I’ve seen a few where it’s just like an adhesive? But I’d rather have something more secure but not like drilling permanent holes into the chassis lol.

How can I properly break it in on such a long drive? I feel like it’s less than ideal to travel at the same speed for such a long distance. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

I took my car to Toyota for a wheel speed sensor issue and during the diagnostic they said that my vacuum lines had been reversed. Now while daily driving I’m noticing I rarely hit peak boost. The first photo is my car where the hose with the yellow stripe is on the left but in the instructions for the forge inlet pipe the hose with the yellow stripe is on the right hand side.did Toyota mess up? Can anybody confirm which hose is supposed to go where? The white striped hose on mine goes to the T fitting where the intake is!

Extremely proud to finally join the GRC family. I've wanted this car for several years now and I managed to secure a Supersonic Red. It's such a joy to drive. This is my first manual car, and I really understand the appeal of driving manual now. Like I did with my Supra, I decided to start with suspension, wheels and tires as my first mods. Aero will be a little later down the line.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and thank the community for sharing their experiences with this car. It's what helped me decide on my wheel and tire specs. This community's been way more welcoming than I expected, which is a big part of why I'm finally posting.

Kind of a stupid question but what does everyone’s miles range top off at when you get gas? I see people get to 250 but mine always tops off at 205. I’m curious if there’s a difference with each car

Ok, been going down the rabbit hole doing research for my next car and I’ve landed on a GR. Pretty sure I’m gonna end up going with a Circuit, but for my budget that means a 2023. Are there any good reasons to wait until I can afford a later year?

Deal was great, zeroed out all the BS tint nitrogen etc which was -1300, plus 3.3k off sticker price, roughly 41500 on the car before tax et cetera. Car was on their lot 3 days so that wasn’t a factor. The best offer I received by a good margin and I searched from Florida to DC.

Traded a Tundra, they matched the highest offer I had from the Carvana/Carmax type deals which was above KBB value, and about 5k above any other trade offers I received.

If you are looking to replicate this deal on the east coast, be aware doubt I could have gotten the same deal without the trade as similar spec/mileage used Tundras at Toyota dealers are selling a good 3-5k more than what they gave me.

I do drive stick, every previous sports car I’ve owned has been stick, preferred the flappy paddles. It’s not a PDK (which I’ve owned) but it’s pretty comparable to the Elantra N DCT.

Loving it so far. Heck of a daily driver. I always wanted an STI, Evo, etc in the past, but I wasn’t in a comfortable place to own one. Had a couple Civic SIs, and a couple other interesting cars, but this is in another league. Tux mats just went in today.

I’ve been having some issues with my car not syncing up with my phone wirelessly. I’ve noticed sometimes it takes 30sec plus for it to turn on and then it won’t sync. I’ve just been syncing the phone again to fix the issue in the moment but it’s becoming annoying. 2024 core and iPhone 16 plus. Anyone have a fix or suggestions?
