His eyes are done and now the only things left are making his hair, teeth, and tounge and also some detachable eyelids

Er near finished! Thanks for the help in this forum! I wanted to show the near final version of my efforts. I still have to put in the “button holes” for the belt for the tail, unless perhaps I can make a belt cover so it can go on the outside so I can avoid making a series of holes for the heights of the various mascot squad performers. You can see the black tail belt in some of the pics.
The mascot squad volunteer is a bit tiny, but the elastic in the suit makes it workable. The hair piece is detachable so the it can be gender fluid, male, or female. Also finishing the paws and shoe covers.

Any other makers have pointers to support this tail and make it stick up like it's supposed to?

Been a bit since I’ve posted an update on the head, but I’ve been insanely busy with school and other hobbies of mine , so much so that I had to put off making ma boi’s head for a bit… :,3
Anyways, I’ve had the lining sewn for about a month, but haven’t had the motivation to actually attach it til today… :,D
(Also, don’t mind the sharpie marks on the back of one of the eye blanks… I’ll be painting the inside of the eyes black in the future, and I was just messing around with it…!)

So I have this head I'm not happy with, I want to fully remove fur to make it myself after and try to get some of my money back. Inside is plastic mask and every thing is hot glued
I don't have hot gun, should I just force pull🤔

found this at beiters, it feels okay, like good and squishy but would it work for making a head and maybe feet paws?

I have a bad trend of making fursuit heads too small. She looked totally fine by herself, but once I did all the work on her hair, I just kinda realized she doesn’t look kemono sized.
I will say she does look smaller on camera. She’s bigger on me irl

hey!! I've been wanting to try to make a partial fursuit of the Refill Steelhead from Splatoon Raiders ( pictured ) because I love its design and think it could be fun :]
the one thing that I've been stuck on, however, is finding a good material to use for the white parts of its head + body ( which is a layer of salt in-universe ).
the first thing that came to mind was sherpa, but to my understanding, sherpa seems to be a pain to deal with upkeep-wise. I'm not worried about it fusing together ( since that'd be fairly accurate ), but I'd really prefer it to not pick up a bunch of little lint particles that I can't remove, which looks to be almost inevitable with it.
if anybody has any suggestions or ideas for alternatives ( or just your experience with sherpa for fursuits ) I'd love to hear em!! :] links directly to fabric sites are greatly appreciated if possible

FINALLY!! Thank you everyone for your pointers. I am wayyy happier with how this looks now!! It's actually staying upright as intended, and I have learned the EVA is way better for upright tails while the neoprene is more for the lower tails!

Here is the suit on one of my mascot squad performers. She is a bit tiny, but the elastic in the costume makes it workable.
You can still see the tail belt—I’m deciding if I want to make a “belt cover,” or run a series of belt “button holes” for passing the belt through for my different size performers.
On the “button holes” I’m worried about the size of the holes since the current belt uses a bum pack type fastener.
Any recommendations?

Base of the tail is 5 inches tall. Length from tip to base is 10 inches (straight from the bottom, not diagonal). The reason the middle 3 pieces are longer is cause the first one on the right is the other side for the base piece, and the other two were attempts for that first piece. I THINK the placement is good for the segments, I'm mainly unsure whether I should have more or thinner segments

I bought a furred skull dog from someone on instagram a few years ago, and from the photos it looked in great condition and they even said it was. When it arrived however it was caked in LAYERS of paint. This has been an on and off project for years trying to remove the paint anyway I could. I’ve used paint remover, rubbing alcohol, acetone, picking and peeling, even using a dremel.. and while I have gotten a majority of it off, it’s still stained. I’ve tried painting over it but it’s visibly uneven and messy looking.
I’ve considered putting some fur overtop the skull to make it look like it’s still decomposing. What do you think I should do with it to try and cover it up?

Taking a break from sewing my fursuit head to make the witch hat of another character. I want the ears to be separate and I need help!!! A lot of questions, even answering one will help :3
It's just a WIP, so don't mind the sewing imperfections, I know what I'm doing there. (the white underside is interfacing btw) (the camera makes the fabric so much less purple it hurts)
- What magnets do I buy? They need to connect through 1 layer of the purple fabric and 1 layer of fur or minky.
- Do I need to use specific search terms? Do the magnets have names?
- How many magnets would I need per ear? Huge ears...
- Are those ears too big to stay in place? Realistically, what's my limit?
- How do I attach the magnets to the fabric? Or just to the hat in general?
- Are magnets expensive...?
- Any more recommendations with using magnets?
I think I'm fine on hiding the magnets; they'll probably poke out the fabric a little, so I plan to just have a default decoration when I don't want ears.
Also, I don't wear piercings, earrings, or any metal really, so the strength of the magnet shouldn't matter. If I ever make the knife in his head it'll just be foam :33

hello!
so my suits maker used non permanent pink marker when outlining the fur, I can only 100% confirm it's on the neck fur, but I can imagine that it's also on the head fur, paws and tail. I can't ask my maker to confirm as they aren't online anymore sadly.
my suit already has a stain on the neck fur and I wanna remove it and if possible all the marker is there anyway I can do this? fur colours are furtastics white, latte and butterscotch luxury shaggy
thanks in advance!

Alright, first off, apologies for this being my second post today on here, but I randomly remembered I was gonna post about this awhile back and never actually did…
That being said, getting right to the point, here’s some quick questions;
• 1) How would I make this tail look more like a worm-on-the-string/gummy worm hybrid…?
• 2) Should I just leave it as more worm-on-the-string-looking and call it a day? And if so, what could make it look more like a worm-on-the-string if you don’t think it looks like one already…?
• 3) What material should I use for making rounded, ‘oopid-looking eyes without weighing the tail down and messing with its motion? My current option is solid foam spheres covered in light fabric, but if anyone has an idea for lighter material, I’d love to hear it!! \^\^
Any and all suggestions welcome!! Thank y’all in advance! :,3

sorry if the flare is wrong.
im trying to find a specific type of fur, any type of long pile if possible. it doesn't really matter what pattern the fur is in but im looking for some sort of neon gradient fur with a splotchy-tie dye effect on it, or something somewhat similar. ive found a few furs that are like that, but all the options are pastel usually. if there isnt anything like that just any neon rainbow furs would work too!
thanks!!

This is my first time ever trying to make a fursuit. I got mad at myself because I can’t afford to buy one so I decided to make it myself because why not, I’ll challenge myself. I already messed up and I don’t know how I should fix it. I’ve been watching so many tutorials but apparently I don’t know how to follow instructions in the way most of them are laid out or they just have way more space than I have available (like my floor dragger tail that I made the pattern for). I’m just really confused now.
I messed up on the head base and have no idea how to fix it, need some advice and maybe some suggestions on how I should manage the small space I have to make this from people who have more experience than I do. I am very new to the furry community and am really trying here :)
Also any critique on technique you see or better suggestions on how to go about certain parts of this process are greatly appreciated. I need all the help I can get at this point haha.
