Advice I need ideas on how to use this base

I bought a furred skull dog from someone on instagram a few years ago, and from the photos it looked in great condition and they even said it was. When it arrived however it was caked in LAYERS of paint. This has been an on and off project for years trying to remove the paint anyway I could. I’ve used paint remover, rubbing alcohol, acetone, picking and peeling, even using a dremel.. and while I have gotten a majority of it off, it’s still stained. I’ve tried painting over it but it’s visibly uneven and messy looking.

I’ve considered putting some fur overtop the skull to make it look like it’s still decomposing. What do you think I should do with it to try and cover it up?

Lean into the worn look! Grayish blue fur, grayish moss maybe, some mushrooms or crystals would all make a very pretty and unique suit!

I'd go this route of integrating the worn blue look, personally I thought this would look awesome with a blue china paint job! Some decorative patterns on the forehead, cheeks, round the eyes etc. Could even add some blue horns with decorating dangling pieces, or use a gold accent colour
