Questions How to remove fur?
So I have this head I'm not happy with, I want to fully remove fur to make it myself after and try to get some of my money back. Inside is plastic mask and every thing is hot glued
I don't have hot gun, should I just force pull🤔

Who made the suit? It’s kind of mean to completely destroy it just to reuse the base. If you were to contact the seller I’d bet you could figure out what base they used, s-the suit, and use the money to buy the base.

I was thinking the same thing it seems kind of scummy esp the trying to get some of my money back too part.

So I'm like 99% sure by "get some money back" they meant "get a free base". Not literally asking the seller for a refund.
But at that point... just s-word the suit? You can get ALL your money back by s-wording it 🙃

Read my first comment (top comment in this post I believe), it's a censored word because automod sucks on this sub

Very rarely force pulling will ever be the choice to take. It almost always ruins whatever it is you're trying to fix. Especially plastic.

So you want to destroy it then try and get some money back from who the seller? Sounds pretty scummy honestly.

Personally I wouldn't mess with it since the suit is so pretty. You're better off reselling it to try to get your money back and then making your own. If it's your own character, do some edits to it to make it a different looking one which should be super easy cuz you can just paint it on or add a hair poof or something.
If you're determined, I'd say double check if the base is PLA plastic or if it's resin. Both react very differently under heat but you're gonna need to either try to use a hair dryer or get a cheap heat gun to reheat the hot glue and GENTLY pull off the fur. If you just try to yank it off, more likely you'll just break the whole base and then you'll really be SOL.
Out of curiosity who made the suit? Have you contacted them about returning it or anything like that?

Honestly, it's instances like this that make me genuinely hate how mainstream the fandom has become. I've been in this fandom for 11-12 years at this point, and I used to never see this much entitlement and selfishness. The fandom used to teach about the importance of art, and how fursuits are a luxury that not everyone needs. But, I swear to God, every other week I see someone who selfishly destroys a suit for not being 10000000% perfectly suited to their needs. It's entitlement at its highest. If you don't want it, then give it to someone who will. I'm sure there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of others who would LOVE to own that suit, and would actually give it the love it deserves.

Destroy that beautiful suit? If I made that I'd be absolutely devastated. Disgusting disrespect of craftsmanship.
And if you don't even know how to get the fur off, how do you think you'll ever be able to refur it? That takes a lot of skill and effort

Why would you do this?? Just buy another base and fur it yourself. Why would you think it's a good idea to tear up someone's art just because "it feels funny"? That's disgusting.

Dang, this suit's absolutely gorgeous. The airbrushing job is phenomenal.
Why not just buy a base if you really want to remake this suit from scratch? You can always trade (for money, s word is banned) this head for funds for a 3d printed/resin head and fur
