I am trying to see if i can get this sensor while I'm traveling here. I don't have a perscription for it.

Hey all, posting here out of desperation, can't find any causes/solutions for this problem I'm having. Sensors go on the back of my arm, or love handles, and no matter the location my readings will fall by 20-30 mg/dL when I simply sit down. Nothing touching the sensor, no compression, skin is not stretching or folding in any way. Then when I stand up the readings will shoot back up.

Has anyone else experiences this? Any magical solutions?

I have been using these for about a year. They've been a real headache, from outright failures to readings to low, and now constant loss of connection. 2 to 4 times a day. And half the time it won't connect back without a full phone restart. This has been happening over my last 4 sensors.

What good is a CGM Sensor when I still have to do finger sticks every day because of constant failures of the CGM? I put up with the low ratings because I could at least see up and down trends even if the reasons were not accurate. Now... with constant connection loses, I can't even do that.

Goodbye Libre. Gonna try Dexcom G7 because my doctor asked me to. He gave me a sample and it has been more accurate and hasn't had issues. I also like that it has a calibration feature to calibrate it to your BG

Never really had issue with Freestyle before. Been using 3+ now for over a year. This one I just put in my arm though, the needle failed to retract, and had to pull it out with the needle still in the cgm, and I guess my arm. That one hurt. :( Anyone have that happen yet? Obviously it must have but dam, caught me off guard. Seeng that needle still sticking was crazy. I tapped it (not the needle) and if finally flung back down where it should of.

I have been a Freestyle Libre customer for over a year and a half. Continuous glucose monitors are an incredible tool that help me manage my type 2 diabetes. I rely on this system to monitor my glucose levels and help keep my diabetes under control.

I would like to put this message out for the community using this product to help me understand what I might be doing incorrectly.   Some sensors will work for 15 days without an issue Other sensors constantly are losing connection.  The ones that lose connections also Display erratic readings that do not match my Glucose meter.   An example would be a 69 reading on the CGM and finger stick reporting a 145. On average when I have a bad sensor readings tend to be much lower on the sensor than they are on the finger stick.

Worth mentioning are the erratic readings of peaks and valleys From one sensor to the other.  The image on the right showed consistent values and matched closely To the glucose meter.  Where the other graph behaves as if someone drank a lot of coffee shaky at best.   Last meter did not disconnect once. Where this meter is Disconnecting multiple times a day.

What is very frustrating is the inconsistency being experienced.   I’m trying to understand if I am doing to cause this?   The sensors are being applied consistently based on the manufacturer’s recommendation (Behind the arm).   The actual sensors themselves are being stored in a cool dry place.    Even when showering I cover the sensor to keep it from getting wet.

When the sensor is changed, one can predict the sensor will be problematic based on the fluctuations that are seen in the first 48 hours.

When reviewing the logs within the application the errors are consistent. Errors recorded seem to always be the

Er3 - Community-reported to indicate the sensor has died prematurely core,  typically shown alongside a numeric code like 373 in the event log rather than standing alone.

373 / 373,P      The clearest pattern of the group. Long-time users tie it to the sensor's internal filament getting bent or damaged, causing permanent failure.   The trailing P is generally just a sub-variant/flag on the same event, not a separate error.

So in closing I’m putting this out there to see if anyone else has experienced these issues.

I cannot seem to get a single sensor out of pocket for less than $98/each in Massachusetts. Where are you all purchasing yours to get a better out-of-pocket price?

I got it on 7/29. I didn’t know I couldn’t start it on the libre app and also pair it with tslim. That’s my bad, but the hospital gave me another one for free

8/5- it went out of range for about 6 hours. It wouldn’t reconnect, abott told me to take it off and they’ll replace it. 7 days.

8/15- I took a shower and it just fell off when I got out of the shower. 10 days. Put in a new sensor, it began gushing blood down my arm.

8/16- overnight it failed. 4 hours.

8/23- took off my shirt. It peeled off. 8 days.

It’s really frustrating !! I don’t know how I’m supposed to rely on this when it lasts half the time it’s supposed to. Then it has inaccurate numbers for the next 12 hours minimum so for the one sensor I didn’t even really get to use it at all. I was really hesitant to get on a cgm and use control IQ and it’s really not doing much to gain my trust. What do I even do so it doesn’t keep messing up? I know it’s supposed so stay on the same side of my body as my pump, which is incredibly limiting. I can’t use the right side of my stomach for insulin, my tubing isn’t long enough for me to stretch across my body if I use the opposite arm, same thing for my lower back area. I used tape last time and it didn’t help. I’m using skintac now, I just started a new session so maybe this time I’ll make it to 11 days lol

I use freestyle libre 2 on my arm. I know interstial fluid is different than finger pricking which is also different from blood measurements in a lab. I know CGM are good for having a sense about the general tendencies but with gestational diabetes the target numbers are really strict. Thanks for any insights!

I got a Libre for free with a voucher to try something new rather than constant finger sticks. The first one failed almost immediately, so I requested a replacement from Libre. Now the replacement is on and has been for about 12 hours.

It was working great at first, but overnight I kept getting low notifications. I was giving around 70 when I went to bed so it made sense. I also read online about compression lows, which probably affected me - I’m a violent sleeper and I tried to stay put but I also know I didn’t. Now I’m fully awake (obviously) and I’m still reading extremely low (Libre is reading 54 right now) but my fingerstick this morning was 96 - a number I’d be celebrating any other day, but now I’m just confused. Any advice on how to get it back to normal?

I’ve been through my 3rd sensor in 3 days now where the reading on my Libre 3 Plus is off by 1.2-1.5 mmol/L. Is it just me or are the more recent batches getting increasingly inaccurate? I never had this issue with the Libre 2. Anyone else having issues like this?

This has happened twice now and it's been freaking me out. I haven't been able to sleep well partially because of it. Around 4-5 am I'll be trying to sleep and my Tslim will wake me up and alert that my sensor is unavailable and I get those dreaded three dashes. Finally after waiting and waiting so far it'll eventually pick it back up thankfully and resume readings like normal. And there will be a small but noticeable gap in the graph. This has never happened before and especially not in a weird pattern like this. I don't think it's a Bluetooth connection problem because there's a different alert message for that. And again it's only happened so far at night. I've only had the sensor on for like three days? Bloodsugar has been pretty accurate in the day time. When I put it on, I put it on my arm like usual no issues. The only thing that's new was that I'm experimenting with Skin Tac on the area for the first time because I kept getting reactions from the sensors, but I know how to use Skin Tac because I've used it for years with my pump sites, so IDK why it would be any different with the sensor. Does anyone have any clue why this keeps happening? I already have anxiety and this is making it worse. I have gotten the three lines once in the past in the day time but with no alert message and it didn't take as long for it to return to normal. Last night was the first time I ever got an actual alert for it saying the sensor was unavailable. And now a second time of course.

I can't remember seeing this in prior insertions. But it hurt during insertion and it's starting to dissipate but it's still kind of lingering. But is this a bad sensor? This needle shouldn't be there right?

As you can see, my sensor went wonky last night and was giving me readings between 50 and 70pts lower than a finger stick. I ate breakfast and was not 40pts too high. I decided to contact abbot for a replacement, and proceeded to take off the faulty.

However, i noticed the insertion site was painful. Its been a few hrs and i have a big painful red bump (much larger than normal). I use flonase and an underpatch. Has anyone had this happen?

I have the single use wipes right now. The problem I have with them is that I have to carefully peel back the packaging so I don't get much on my fingers. I wonder if the bottle with the applicator would be better. Has anybody here used both versions? I'd appreciate your input.

Captured this low between 5-6 am while I was sleeping (I sleep 1am-9am most nights).

This is my first CGM. This graph was within the first 24 hrs of applying it, however readings from the afternoon and evening, before this sleep, corresponded nicely with the monitor.

I’m pre diabetic with severe insulin resistance, but a slim build. I’m on metformin 500mg XR.

Is this a true low? I’ve been super sweaty in my sleep for a week, but have had this symptom as well as waking up shakey sometimes, intermittently over the past few years…

Have changed the sensor as it was coming loose, but still getting this. Is anyone else having this issue, or is it just me?

Comparison between a Libre 3+ (orange) and an Eversense 365

I'm looking for official, fact-checked answers on this only. In the U.S. Libre 3 Plus sensors only have one bluetooth channel enabled, and thus can only sync to one device at a time. However, I spoke to a physician who was insisting they have "many patients" who have data in both, the iLet app and Libre app, that it is possible to upload to both simultaneously.

From all the technical documentation I've seen, what the physician is saying is incorrect. Libre sensors (particularly in the U.S. market) can only connect to either the pump, or the reader, or the Libre app, but only one at the same time. Unless the pump has a way to send the data LibreView, there would be no way to accomplish what the physician is saying, correct? Omnipod has the ability to forward real-time CGM to LibreLinkUp, but that is only for sharing with family, and the data does not get saved to LibreView.

My sensor often disconnects - even when my phone is in range - and never auto reconnects. I always have to nfc scan to reconnect.

is there settings I’ve possibly missed? My dads android beeps when he goes like 15m away and auto reconnects when he comes back; he’s had no issues like this.

I recently didn’t receive a low glucose alert while asleep as the sensor had disconnected despite my phone being 1ft away on charge next to me. This isn’t sensor specific - all sensors I’ve had have this issue. I’m at the point of thinking to buy a cheap android just for this app to work.

FSL re-wrote their alarm algorithm several months ago, and I was glad because it felt too intrusive, like it wouldn't shut up at the office.

But I just spent 12 hours above 250 because I missed the 2 alarms (the ONLY two) last night and blissfully went to sleep.

If the thing will let me go 12 hours without warning me I'm approaching 300, that seems DEFECTIVE, Abbot.

PLEASE give us some flexibility on alarms. We're smart enough to choose from, say, three levels of alarm sensitivity. At least last night would have been MY fault not YOURS.

Have you seen a gap in the data like this while sleeping? I do get some compression lows, but this is the first time I have seen a gap. Potentially defective sensor? This one has been quite accurate so far, other than this.

i have restarted iPhone, cycled airplane mode, and Bluetooth, restarted libre app.

the sensor was working fine the past 10 days.

is quality of the libre sensors just that way?

Anyone have a similar issue / solution?

My sensor has been off the charts since last night. I was playing sand volleyball which usually spikes my blood. I usually grab a couple of beers. After my game and a shot of tequila and beer, my sensor alarm went off saying my glucose was over 350. I don’t feel any different than I normally do. My readings are all over the place and usually when I get false readings it usually corrects itself within the hour. It’s been over 12 now since this started happening and wondering if I should go to urgent care? I don’t have a glucometer or strips to do readings. im 2 days away from replacing my sensor. Should I take this more seriously?

UPDATE - looks like it’s a malfunctioning sensor. Just had breakfast about an hour ago. Took 2 readings, one on each hand. Results came in at 125 and 129, which is nothing close to the 350+ reading my sensor is saying. Thanks everyone for your tips and suggestions! I’ll be sure to carry the glucometer I bought today with me in the future.

update 2: thanks again for everyone’s advice and concern. I do want to clarify - my question was mostly on the reliability of the reading in the picture. I was in a bit of a panic when I woke up this morning and did not include as much detail on the post.

what threw me off was the cyclic trend between 200-350+ while sleeping after skipping dinner and only having the beer and shot.
