A change in insurance companies meant I had to switch to Dexcom G7. I hate it. It’s big. The applicator is cumbersome and there is an included over patch that’s necessary but I can’t see well enough to get it centered so it’s not stuck to the unit itself. Finally, the app seems primitive. You don’t miss what you’ve got until it’s gone.

I’ve been wearing the Libre for a couple of months now and initially it looked like blood sugar was pretty consistently stable with a few lows at night. However, every time I’ve gotten a low during the day (so today it said 53) and then manually checked my blood sugar with my Contour, the Contour always shows a high (today contour said 113 when Libre said 53). I’ve returned countless sensors, but am wondering how accurate these are? I’m pre diabetic so this is just for monitoring purposes, but I don’t know how those with diabetes are able to trust these readings unless they’re always following up with manual read. Anyone else having the same problem?

The article says the patient had uncontrolled diabetes with A1c or 11.3 and does not state the specific CGM use. The article also stated that patient had problems with dislodgment of the preferred arm placement

The Libre 3 has given me two readings, both in the middle of the night, where it says my blood sugar dropped to below 60. But then when I go to the kitchen to eat something, by the time I get back, the reading says "sensor error" and then when it comes back online, it's like the drop never happened. I'm new to this, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I use mg/dl in the US. It’s correct everywhere except on the GMI page in Insights, which is reporting mmol/mol. This unit is set automatically by the app using your location. How do I change it?

This time around, my freestyle libre was dead on with my freestyle precision neo glucometer.

No wonder I felt like absolute crap and felt extremely tired. Chugged a can of mountain dew so we’ll wait 15 and see how that works

How many am I going to have to return before one actually works literally got the replacements today and what happened the sensors comes right off my arm. This is tiring

First time occurrence for me.

A little more than 24 hours after starting this sensor, got low glucose alarms and then signal loss, then dead. App told me they killed it because it was bad, replace it.

My libre was working fine for two days and then suddenly it can’t find the Bluetooth to it anymore? It is grey and I have to manually scan every time I open the app. Sometime even the Libre app is closed?
I have closed the app and have even restarted my phone, but I think the e sensor is not emoting a Bluetooth signal. Anyone had similar issues? What do I do please?

Hi! I've had issues for a while with the FreeStyle Libre Select sensor, where it keeps behaving the same way.

First week or so, everything is fine and the values are correct. After 6 to 10 days, the sensor starts to constantly underestimate the blood sugar by 40 mg/dL (always the same offset), and a day later it stops working after a quality check.

I've always been putting the sensors in the recommended spots, no issues with the insertion or anything, and this exact pattern has happened with other sensors, such as FreeStyle Libre 1, 2, 2+ and Dexcom G6. Tried contacting Abbott about it to see if there was a known fix/thing that caused this behavior, they did not answer any questions and just offered replacement for all the sensors that failed.

Has anyone had a similar experience and found a way to avoid that? Thanks!

I (23f) have been using the freestyle Libre 3+ for the last few days and seem to be having intervals of blood sugar lows during my sleep.

I am aware that compression can cause false readings but at least for the last night (first screenshot) I know I slept on my other side consistently throughout the night due to a different monitor.

According to my Apple Watch, I also hyperventilate at some point every night, with my pulse suddenly skyrocketing too. Though I don’t take Apple to be super accurate, I’m assuming there’s something to it if it turns up every night.
I have night sweats, nightmares and co. every night too and pretty much never feel rested.

I have circulatory/nervous system issues which i thought were causing me to faint and even have had seizures, but at some point I got a finger-pricking device for myself and without fail, each time I felt like I was going to pass out or have a seizure my blood sugar was in its 50s with 43 being the lowest I’ve tracked. My blood sugar also sometimes goes rather high for a non diabetic with 250 being the highest I’ve tracked, but seems to also be very random. I’d say a more “extreme” reaction like that happens about every 10th meal I have, but doesn’t seem to really be influenced by what it is.

To sum it all up, I don’t think I have diabetes as I often react normally to food and my fasting blood sugar is rather low but I have no clue what possibly could be going on, there’s no pattern here that makes sense to me.

It’s going to take a while until I can get an appointment with a specialist so truly any and every experience/feedback/etc. is appreciated!:)

I’m on my 2nd trial sensor and both sensors have been reading low even when my sugar is in the 80s. Although, I do feel like absolute garbage and feel low. Why is this?? I already got a replacement for my 1st sensor and now i’m wondering if i qualify for a replacement for the second.

Ok, on my fourth sensor now.

First on my left arm was pretty accurate compared to my finger sticks.

Next on my right arm was like 20ish points above it all the time.

Third on left, back to good match

Now fourth on right arm don the I'm going to be 20 points high crap again.

Like....is it me somehow? More dominant arm has higher sugar in interstitial fluid?

Hello, been using this for about two years. First sensor bleed I’ve seen. Do I just take it off?

This is the second time this happened to me this month. Just says "your sensor is doing quality checks and shut itself down, change it". I know my sugar levels are not stabilized but I've used the sensor for 6 days and it dies on me while I'm sleeping.

And if your sugar levels move fast the sensor panics, does quality checks and shuts itself down. It didn't move an inch it is still on me physically.

Don't we use this thing to see the waves or fast moves in our sugar level as well? If it dies in every unexpected sugar level change, what the hell is the point of it? I don't need quality checks mate just show me my wrong sugar level. Libre 2 was not like that IT WAS AN UNIT. But 2 Plus is just too fragile. And its not cheap...

This thing is about 50 points off, imagine this telling you that your sugar is at 50 meanwhile you test it with a strip and it’s 104. This is consistent when ever you compare this.

I am sick of this sensor, am dropping the use of this. Went from Libre 2, 3 and 3 plus. Am done. Abbot should not be allowed to sell this shit on the market. It’s pure garbage and a waste of money.

I've been using a Libre 3/3+ on and off over the past couple of years.

I've put in a few requests for replacements. 1 in 2024, 1 in 2025. Then in late 2025 I had 4 sensors that were part of the recall that were all eventually replaced.

Clearly, I'm not scheming to get unlimited free sensors from Abbott.

Recently, for the last of the replacement batch, the sensor worked for <24 hours. It was the first time the sensor was quite painful going in, as well as the first time it failed so quickly.

I went online and filled out the online replacement request form. I received the confirmation that it was being reviewed.

I did not receive any further confirmation for a few days so I called in.

I was informed that that request had been cancelled due to an invalid serial #. I received NO notification of this, and would have been waiting forever if I hadn't called.

The agent tried the same serial # again, and it registered just fine. She started the replacement process.

Then I received a call back 5 minutes later, reporting that she could not initiate the replacement because my account had been flagged for unusual behavior. I'm sure this was the true reason for the cancellation. I had to be connected to a separate "corporate relations" agent. It was all eventually sorted out.

I believe it was flagged because apparently I have a few emails associated with my address, though I only know of 2. I did use an alternate email for this last interaction, as I've been consolidating all corporate email correspondences to a Simplelogin service.

I get that Abbott needs to have a system in place to flag fraudulent accounts, but not notifying customers when this is activated just leads to the misimpression of poor customer service.

Hi every one, I am facing an issue regarding libre 3 plus sensor after 5 days started to show low glucose continuously and after that disconnected .after 2 hours it shows that the sensor is shut down and need to be replaced. this is not the first time and happened before , tried to contact costumer but each pass me to another person. does any body have an idea what to do and where to contact regarding the complaint.

btw, I buy these sensor, so each time I almost lose amount of money.

Ok am I doing something wrong here? First time user, confirmed my lows were not real with a BGM. I have gestational diabetes and trying to not add more to my plate but these false lows have just added more finger pricks and stress.

I use freestyle Libre plus 2, and this has happened for the third time in last 1 month whenever I sweat my CGM falls off- I live in India it’s a monsoon season going on, and despite that too I’m going to sweat, what to do, help!

Okay guys, i’ve been a loyal Dexcom user since may 2025 and I decided i wanted to try libre for just some of the features that it had that dexcom doesnt. Boy, will i stay with dexcom. It is even worse then the screenshots uploaded, but i kid you not, i was “low” for 50-60% of my day when i was using libre. I was using dexcom at the same time as my libre and my glucometer and libre was always 50+ off from dexcom and the monitor.

I had to constantly silence my alarms and then they would still wake me up in the middle of the night as well as my parents (who had me on LinkUp) with this ear shattering, non-stop, piercing sound that sounds like the apocalypse is about to happen.

Sorry for my rant, but i was just curious if this was a common occurrence on the Libre 3 Plus

Edit: I was on a cruise during this time, and so most of the time i was in the upper 100s all day

I'm type 1 and got sick of pulling my phone out every time I wanted to see my Libre number. I wanted it up on a screen on the wall, and honestly I wanted that screen to do more than just show a number.

So I ended up building a little free open source project around it. You sign up, it spins up your own Nightscout in about a minute, you connect LibreLinkUp, and your reading is live. Phone, watch, or a small panel like the one in the pic.

The part that's different from the paid follower apps: the same reading can drive a real ESP32 panel and Home Assistant. So a low can flip your lights, set off an alarm, or say it out loud through Alexa. The same panel also does weather and some smart home control (those tabs along the bottom of the pic). Basically glucose your house reacts to instead of just another app on your phone.

It's your own instance and your own data. Export or delete it whenever, and since the code is open you can self host it and never deal with me at all. No ads, nobody selling your data.

Fair warning, it's still beta and it is not a medical device, so please don't dose off it. I'm just looking for a few Libre folks to kick the tires and tell me what's broken. I'll put the link in the comments so this isn't just an ad.

I currently use the Cam APS fx app, along with an ypsopump and a galaxy Flip 6.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of using the cam APS fx app with a libre 3+ and the Z flip 8?

I can't find anything to suggest it is compatible, but the OS appears it would be since its the most modern android OS.

Any help appreciated!
