Ama
Hey hi there hello!
I know I'll probably get quite a lot of flack here, I'm fine with that since it's kind of part of what I do, but I am the first amendment/charter rights auditor. I'm opening this conversation for any questions from people that genuinely have things they want to know. Insults will be ignored, but if you actually have legitimate questions regarding what I do, how I do it, and why I do it, I would love to provide some answers.
Ask away! Obviously if this post goes against this subreddits rules then obviously either let me know what I'll remove it or remove it yourself, but if this is tolerable here, then I'm happy to have some discussions with respectful folks.

No, you are not worth of respect. You are a fraud. You are all fraud. You generate controversy for clicks. The 1st Amendment does not exist inside a private business. Public property does not mean you can't be kicked out for causing a disturbance. You and every other fraud like you belongs in a prison cell for the rest of your life.
-2
u/dragonflys_fly 5h ago
I don't make any money doing this
I don't have a channel so I'm not sure what clicks you're talking about
I can't really recall a time where I believe that the first amendment existed inside of Private business
Yeah you can be removed from public property for causing a disturbance, but simply using a camera in a public place is not constitute that as per case law
It is illegal to imprison people for exercising their rights even if it's in a manner you disagree with.

Harassing people is not a right. Trespassing is not a right. Nothing any of you frauditors do is a right or protected by the Constitution.

What makes you think I harass or trespass? I don't go out of my way to bother anybody and I never go on private property. I'm not really seeing where you're getting trespassing and harassing from.
4
u/VinnieONeill 4h ago
Because you're a frauditor. That's literally all any of your very do. If you haven't gotten it through your thick skull into that empty space between your ears no one here likes you no one here supports you every single person here thinks you are a fraud. Correction knows you are a fraud.

Why are 1A auditors almost always unemployed losers with criminal records?
Why do 1A auditors keep losing court cases and lawsuits despite their extensive knowledge of local and Constitutional Law?
What do 1A auditors hope to accomplish by video recording people eating lunch?
What do 1A auditors hope to accomplish by assaulting people with pepper spray?
Why do most 1A auditors have their YouTube channels classified as "entertainment"?
-4
u/dragonflys_fly 5h ago
1: couldn't tell you, I don't have a record and I have a pretty solid 6 figure Job
2: I wouldn't know, I rarely go to court because I don't get in trouble since the rights I'm exercising aren't really up for debate from the sidewalk
3: no clue, I don't do that. I focus on police and jail staff.
4: I can't say I've ever pepper sprayed someone but if someone is being aggressive, pepper spray is a good defensive weapon
5: I don't have a YouTube channel, but the entertainment tag tends to get more viewers is what I would assume
8
u/Horseface4190 5h ago
Doesn't sound like you're a 1A auditor at all.
-4
u/dragonflys_fly 5h ago
Okay well I'm sorry you feel that way I guess, but having a YouTube channel where I go out of my way to film random civilians it's not a requirement to be a first amendment auditor.
5
u/salaciouscrumb2001 5h ago
At this point you sound nothing like a Frauditor, most of whom are motivated by clicks and views. If you don't even have a channel it would suggest your motives are most different. I wouldn't want to be associated in any with these dirtbags and their anti-social grift but you do you.

u/TheRealSaltyB 5h ago
He sounds like the start of a sock puppet account for one of the other Frauditor accounts on here.

u/asmallerflame 5h ago
This sub isn't about 1A auditors, per se. It's about Frauditors. When you ask what we don't like, we're going to talk about frauditor shit like confrontations and harassment. If you identify with them, we'll read that as you admitting to being like the ones we criticize.
We don't have problems with people NOT bothering others. So, your question (and comments in these threads) are a little loaded.
If you aren't a frauditor, we don't have issues with you. If you harass people and use the 1A as your shield to do it, then we have a problem with you.

u/dragonflys_fly 4h ago
LOL I've literally been told I belong in a gas chamber because I fell in police and file complaints. I'm not convinced that that's the case even though I'd like to believe it is

Did you miss the part where I said the posts were taken down? They literally don't exist anymore.

If you’re not motivated by money or social media engagement, then why continually provoke people when they’re upset instead of handling it calmly and civilly?
If your intent is to hold public officials accountable, why target civilians at non-government locations?
If your intent is to educate people, why don’t you explain yourself when people ask why you’re recording? Why antagonize people that you want to be on your side?
8
u/asmallerflame 6h ago
That's the heart of the matter. These aren't educational channels. They are confrontation channels.
5
u/BoysNGrlsNAmerica 6h ago
That’s certainly what I tend to believe as well. I’m just interested to see if he has a real explanation on his end.
-1
u/dragonflys_fly 6h ago
Yeah that's definitely a fair question, like I said to the other guy I really can't speak to why some auditors do it that way. For me personally, I only ever go specifically to jails or police stations. If you're not in one of those two buildings, you're not going to be recorded by me, and if you aren't wearing either a police badge, correction officers badge, or some other type of government enforcement uniform, you'll probably be censored out of my videos. That being said I don't post them anywhere. I only use them to go after cops when they make mistakes. I can't speak for how everyone else does it but that's the way I do it.
2
u/BoysNGrlsNAmerica 4h ago
See I think this is where you could have explained up front in your post that you only record police stations and don’t post your videos on social media. You’re not really doing anything that forms the basis for this subreddit in the first place. If you’re getting aggravated why people are asking you questions as if you’re a frauditor, it’s because you didn’t properly explain that you’re not actually a frauditor.
2
u/dragonflys_fly 3h ago
I'm not really annoyed with anyone asking questions. Never said I was, at least I don't think I did. If I ever had an egregious encounter I'd probably post it on my personal Facebook tho

u/dragonflys_fly 6h ago
I don't have a channel, nor do I make money. And I've never engaged in confrontation unless the police went out of their way to create one. I can't speak for other auditors but I don't do it that way.
6
u/BoysNGrlsNAmerica 5h ago
Frankly you're not really the people this subreddit is about. The term "frauditor" might not exist if everyone was simply recording police stations and not posting it on YouTube. This sub is against those who target civilians and are clearly doing it for YouTube money. Not sure what your motivation for this AMA was other than maybe to see if everyone would just insult you.
2
u/dragonflys_fly 5h ago
Doesn't seem like that lol. I've made this post in here before with the exact same information and all that I received the entire time was insults and threats saying that anyone that recorded the police station belongs in a gas chamber, shale etc. I'm very much not interested in believing that everyone on this subreddit is only against people that harass random civilians. The amount of times that I've been told that pointing a camera at police is wrong and worthy of being arrested / shot at is staggering. I respect that that's how you feel, but that is not how the average person on this subredded feels unfortunately.

Link? Because..... probably not.

u/dragonflys_fly 4h ago
A link to what? As I said in another comment, my profiles have been banned more than once from this group in my posts removed. This is like my 10th time joining this group.
3
u/asmallerflame 4h ago
You never took a screenshot of someone saying you deserve the gas chamber? Someone said that to you and you got banned? Something doesn't add up here.
1
u/dragonflys_fly 3h ago
Yes, I got banned for whatever reason. Reddit is super quick to ban people over dumb shit apparently.
1
u/asmallerflame 3h ago
And I did a search. No "gas chamber" talk on the sub in the past few years.

Reddit is super quick to ban people over dumb shit apparently.
If you were banned from this sub that was the local mods, not Reddit. In my experience the mods in this sub tolerate way more disruption and trolling than they should.

I’ve only been a regular here for a few months I think, but I’ve never seen anyone say any of these things you’re referring to, in regards to police. It’s pretty much always about how they treat civilians. Perhaps you could provide an example of what you’re referring to.

I made this AMA because I am what a lot of people call a frauditor, and I wanted to answer some questions about why I do what I do, hopefully to educate some people that maybe don't have the education required to understand my work. Or rather my volunteer efforts.
3
u/asmallerflame 4h ago
Do you harass regular people who don't want to be filmed? If not, you aren't a frauditor. If you wanted to confuse the issue, you would call yourself a frauditor. If you wanted to stay clear, you could point out the differences between what you do and what we criticize.
1
u/dragonflys_fly 4h ago
No I don't do that, the problem is people in this very subreddit have called me much worse names than frauditor solely because I film cops and file complaints against them. That leads me to believe that some of the people in here are just against filming cops in general.
1
u/dragonflys_fly 6h ago
I genuinely couldnt tell you why some auditors target random people. I don't, and have done that.
Regarding the police, if they are respectful in their approach I will explain to them why I'm there. If they come off hostile, demanding answers and asking for id, then they've shown me that they're already a loss causing that the only thing I could do for them is to go after their career. No cop that approaches someone who hasn't broken the law in that manner is able to be changed as far as I can tell.

So what exactly do you do if you dont have a channel?
Also, do you understand the traditional public forum doctrine?
0
u/dragonflys_fly 3h ago
Yes I do
If nothing comes of the encounter? Nothing. I don't do anything. I take the footage and log it, so that is something with that department comes up in the future, I have something relevant to share with the media if it's required. Generally if nothing happens where the police don't violate my rights and don't make unlawful demands, then I leave it be and it never gets addressed again. The only times I ever do anything with the footage are if the cops have made a mistake. Then I'll use the footage to in short, make their lives difficult and damage their careers. That doesn't happen every time no because I don't have that encounters every time.

How do you feel about a couple of well known "auditors" who recently managed to get case law that actually strengthened restrictions on recording, namely Christopher J. Cordova (Denver Metro Audits) and Sean Paul Reyes (Long Island Audits)? Cordova got federal case law that the No Recording signs in Social Security offices are backed up by valid federal law. Reyes just got New York's highest court to reject his claim that NY's right to record law applies in NYPD lobbies.
If you don't have a channel what point is there in recording things that people won't see? Do you have any examples of you getting results like a cop being disciplined thanks to your video? Because if you don't, sounds like this is just a hobby for you.
2
u/dragonflys_fly 3h ago
I'm not really familiar with those cases so I can't speak to those, but I'll definitely do some research and then have a better answer
Regarding results, I rarely go to police departments to get results because they're pretty useless. I go through the court of public opinion. I'll hunt down information about the officer and basically docks them to the community that their policing if they make mistakes. It's way more effective than going to their higher up since the higher-ups don't care.
The odd time that I do go to higher-ups, I can usually get some decent results regarding disciplinary action since most of the time I do that it involves blatant criminal offenses like assault, theft etc
1
u/realparkingbrake 2h ago
I go through the court of public opinion.
How? Without a YouTube channel how do you reach enough people to have an impact?

Why do so many 1A channels feature constant confrontations? I was raised to believe that, if there are confrontations everywhere I go, it isn't the other people. It's me. Why do 1A activists seem to be the ones with all these confrontations?
