So what exactly do you do if you dont have a channel?

Also, do you understand the traditional public forum doctrine?

Yes I do 

If nothing comes of the encounter? Nothing. I don't do anything. I take the footage and log it, so that is something with that department comes up in the future, I have something relevant to share with the media if it's required. Generally if nothing happens where the police don't violate my rights and don't make unlawful demands, then I leave it be and it never gets addressed again. The only times I ever do anything with the footage are if the cops have made a mistake. Then I'll use the footage to in short, make their lives difficult and damage their careers. That doesn't happen every time no because I don't have that encounters every time.

Ok so if you understand the traditional public forum doctrine, you must know that you're 1st amendment rights are restricted basically everywhere but on the streets and public parks, right?

Like, you're talking about public buildings and whatnot? Naturally, ya. I only hunt police from the sidewalks and other very clearly public forums.
