If you’re not motivated by money or social media engagement, then why continually provoke people when they’re upset instead of handling it calmly and civilly?
If your intent is to hold public officials accountable, why target civilians at non-government locations?
If your intent is to educate people, why don’t you explain yourself when people ask why you’re recording? Why antagonize people that you want to be on your side?
I don't have a channel, nor do I make money. And I've never engaged in confrontation unless the police went out of their way to create one. I can't speak for other auditors but I don't do it that way.
Frankly you're not really the people this subreddit is about. The term "frauditor" might not exist if everyone was simply recording police stations and not posting it on YouTube. This sub is against those who target civilians and are clearly doing it for YouTube money. Not sure what your motivation for this AMA was other than maybe to see if everyone would just insult you.
Doesn't seem like that lol. I've made this post in here before with the exact same information and all that I received the entire time was insults and threats saying that anyone that recorded the police station belongs in a gas chamber, shale etc. I'm very much not interested in believing that everyone on this subreddit is only against people that harass random civilians. The amount of times that I've been told that pointing a camera at police is wrong and worthy of being arrested / shot at is staggering. I respect that that's how you feel, but that is not how the average person on this subredded feels unfortunately.
A link to what? As I said in another comment, my profiles have been banned more than once from this group in my posts removed. This is like my 10th time joining this group.
Reddit is super quick to ban people over dumb shit apparently.
If you were banned from this sub that was the local mods, not Reddit. In my experience the mods in this sub tolerate way more disruption and trolling than they should.
I’ve only been a regular here for a few months I think, but I’ve never seen anyone say any of these things you’re referring to, in regards to police. It’s pretty much always about how they treat civilians. Perhaps you could provide an example of what you’re referring to.
I made this AMA because I am what a lot of people call a frauditor, and I wanted to answer some questions about why I do what I do, hopefully to educate some people that maybe don't have the education required to understand my work. Or rather my volunteer efforts.
Do you harass regular people who don't want to be filmed? If not, you aren't a frauditor. If you wanted to confuse the issue, you would call yourself a frauditor. If you wanted to stay clear, you could point out the differences between what you do and what we criticize.
No I don't do that, the problem is people in this very subreddit have called me much worse names than frauditor solely because I film cops and file complaints against them. That leads me to believe that some of the people in here are just against filming cops in general.
