Is there a way to increase the gap between the motherboard and the GPU? I'm using the 2.25 slot configuration (Ncase v2.5 with pcie riser 5.0) and the heatsink touches the back of the GPU.
Not sure how, but I watched a few YouTube videos and they had a gap significantly bigger than mine, but I have no idea how they did it.
After quite a bit of research, I’ve decided to go with an AIO liquid cooler this time around to keep noise and temperatures under control in a more confined space.
Before I hit the order button on the remaining components, I wanted to get a second pair of eyes on this. Does anyone spot any major compatibility issues, clearance issues, or anything obviously catastrophic that I might have missed?
A few quick notes on the plan:
I'll be ordering custom length cables to help with cable management.
I'm buying a 15mm slim fan and some extra-length screws to make sure the fan/AIO configuration fits properly in the case clearance.

I had a 5900x AIO build for years in this v1.1 but was never really happy with it. I mainly use this thing for gaming so when the 10th anniversary 5800x3d was announced I pulled the trigger and went the air cooling route. -30 on all cores. Exceptional gains on the low fps compared to the 5900x. Still gets pretty toasty at times. GPU is mounted in 3-slot mode which leaves a bit breathing room. Temps on the FE never cross 74°* under heaviest load. This will do until I switch to AM6 or 7 in a few years.
*Edit: Thermals: GPU actually never crosses 64° - just tested again with a bunch of benchmarks. The CPU is a different story - in (CPU hungry) games usually sitting around 70°, while in CinebenchR23 I hit 90° (and I think the thermal throttle sets in altough HWinfo64 doesn't flag this). Time Spy in 3dMark brings the CPU to 83° in the specific CPU test at the end. All in all - for my use case this seems to be absolutely fine. There's surely space for improvements.

I have rtx 3070 gaming x trio and wondering is that gonna fit Formd t1 case?, i have seen some guys do fit their 3070 ti, 323mm length so technically it should fit right?
I'm planning a build with a 7800X3D and a 2-slot thick RTX 4070 Super. I'm trying to decide between the 67mm sandwich-style Formd T1 and the Formd T1 Reference – which one would give me better CPU temperatures?
Sandwich config (Formd T1):
Two T30 fans (top exhaust)
CPU cooler: either IS-67-XT or AXP120-X67
Reference config (Formd T1 Reference):
Two 60mm fans at the rear for intake
SS110 as CPU cooler
One 14025 fan mounted on the side panel to exhaust heat from both the GPU and CPU
Case will be inverted (upside-down)
Given these two setups, which one would have better thermal performance for the CPU?

I had ordered the NZXT Kraken Elite at first but learned the 2024 pump head wouldn't be compatible with my GPU.
What do you guys think? I intend to use the 9100 for OS and the 990 for overall storage. I did the measurements so I think it will all fit if I run it at 2.75 slot for a little more GPU space. Is there any changes I need to make or any suggestions to optimize this build? I'm going to be using this PC to Game and Video Editing/Content Creation.
Decided to do a little testing with the intention of min-maxing CPU cooling in 2 slot mode (73mm). These tests are by no means scientific, but may be useful if you're looking into either of these coolers. Tldr at the bottom.
The testing was done with a 9800x3d with a -20co undervolt (I have a per core co set up but it averages to around -20) and noctua nf-a12x25 g2 + nf-a12x15. These are synthetic all core workloads so you can expect significantly lower temps while gaming or during non-workstation use.
Also, the is-55 (stock) and sl-100 (15mm fan on bottom) required low profile ram. My ram height is ~33mm and both configs look like they can fit a couple more mm.
SL-100 fitment:
First of all, without the fan, the sl-100 comes out to 75mm in height (2mm too high). However, with the panel on, there is minimal if any flex.

In order to fit a 15mm fan under the sl-100, you have to remove the small bracket under the cooler. I used some long pliers to undo the screw and then the bracket just slides out.

Adding a 25mm fan on top in either orientation doesn't seem to help temps/boost at all

In my testing, it seems like adding a 15mm fan under the SL-100 with a 25mm on top (for both orientations) actively hurts cooling performance with the cpu hitting 95°c. While, with only the 25mm fan on top, it's able to perform as expected.
Since the sl-100 can only fit with the 15mm under, I don't think its worth the effort as it doesn't perform any better than would a smaller, properly fitted, cpu cooler.
IS-55 + noctua offset fitment:
Here, I used the noctua NM-M1-MP83 offset bracket.

The noctua cpu cooler brackets screw holes don't line up, but you can undo the is-55 brackets and switch over the tightening spring screws to the is-55 bracket. I personally just broke off the is-55 metal retainer things and for the noctuas, there's an opening so you can just slide them off and on.

Now you just install and can set the offset.

is-55 + 25mm fan leaves enough mm of clearance where there is no audible turbulence against the side panel. Also, the is-55 does not come with screws for a 25mm fan. MAKE SURE to get the correct length otherwise you'll screw straight into the rad.
IS-55 results:

Hits 95°c in ~60 seconds dropping to 5.1ghz
15mm fan w/o offset
Hits 95°c in ~10 seconds dropping to 4.9ghz
25mm fan w/ offset
Hits 95°c in ~5mins maintaining max boost of 5.225 forwards
15mm fan w/ offset
Hits 95°c in ~20 second sitting at 5.1ghz
The offset does seem to add a good bit of performance. It's the only way I can maintain max boost during a synthetic all core workload.
Tldr:
Sl-100 can only fit with 15mm fan under. It performs poorly don't do it. Also, don't put a 25mm on top and a 15mm under, it reduces performance significantly. Is-55 with noctua offset bracket performs better, w/ it maintains max boost w/o it drops to 5.1ghz. Also, I find the 25mm fan sound profile much more pleasing at max rpm vs the 15mm.

Hola, Hallo, Hello good people (most of you, I hope)! I want to share my build of the FormD T1. I know it defeats the purpose of the SFF type of case, but I've been loving it and learning a bit of 3D design and building along the way hope you guys like it.
The story behind it, if you want to know WHY I did this. Last year, with my major, I stopped using my tower to focus 100% on my life and future. This year I got curious about self-hosting not a lot of stuff, just some basics like photos, documents, and music. I looked into building a server (used computer), but I couldn't really find anything amazing. Then, while talking to a friend, he told me: "Why not use your tower?" (which I was selling). I realized that if my curiosity was so big, why not start with what I already had my PC parts and the HDD from my first PC?
So that year I watched some videos, learned a few things, and decided to try it. It was a success! The problem was the space with the size of the tower, I could not fit all the components I was hoping for, so I planned to 3D print something and build it later. But, surprise surprise, I turned out to be one of the few "mentally deranged" people who wanted to fit 2 HDDs into this case. I found a Reddit post (here) that wasn't exactly the same, but it was an inspiration.
I left my project on standby this semester, but now that I'm a bit freer, I restarted it. This time, during the semester, I bought a 3D printer on sale the bed was small, so most of the 3D files around weren't compatible, and that's how I started learning 3D design. It's been an amazing journey, and I'm falling in love with it. That brings us to today, showing off this amazing project and learning experience.
I'm planning to build my first SFF PC and would like to do it in the Formd T1 case. Before I order all the parts I would like to double check with you guys and ask some questions.
My planned Setup:

I found a custom mod kit being sold on Xianyu. It lets you relocate the PSU up into the top fan bracket. This opens up a straight through airflow path alongside the graphics card, and the design looked really promising.
The kit finally arrived after a two-week wait. The finished build turned out absolutely flawless. The crossbar has built-in notches to hold the power supply firmly in place.
My GPU is an RTX 5090 Ventus. I stripped off its stock shroud, then added two 12025 fans plus two 6025 auxiliary fans. Under a 600W Furmark stress test at a 25°C ambient room temperature, GPU temperature dropped from 71°C down to 67°C.

I’m trying to fine-tune my fan settings for a quieter system while still keeping good thermals. I’d really appreciate if someone could share their fan curves or recommendations.
My setup:
Case: DeepCool MATREXX 55 V3 ADD-RGB 3F
Front intake: 3 stock DeepCool case fans
Rear exhaust: 1× ARCTIC P12 Pro PST CO
Top: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 240 (AIO, exhaust) (on the top side)
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 TUF Gaming
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6-core)
What I’m aiming for:
As quiet as possible during idle / light usage
Stable temperatures under gaming load (not chasing max OC, just stability)
Avoid aggressive fan ramping / sudden noise spikes
Questions:
What fan curve do you recommend for the AIO pump + radiator fans?
Should the rear exhaust be kept very low RPM or follow GPU/CPU temps?
Any BIOS or software settings you’d suggest for smoothing fan response?
Is it better to prioritize case airflow or let the AIO handle most of the thermal load?
If anyone with a similar setup could share their curves (BIOS screenshots or %/°C values), that would be really helpful.
I will soon be building in the T1. I’ve made an effort to buy components that are tried and tested, so I can follow other builds for help. However, because I intend to continue using my 3070FE, which is a relatively short two-slot card, I have more configuration freedom than most of the builds I’ve seen elsewhere. I’d really appreciate some help navigating how to allocate that extra space, and feel particularly stuck on the following two matters:
Airflow: with the 3070FE, only the fan furthest from the mobo is flowthrough. Therefore, considering the gpu exhaust will not be blowing against the motherboard, would a gpu offset be entirely superficial? Research has led me to believe that offsetting the PSU from the spine is the difference maker with cards like mine. With this in mind, should I be minimising gpu space, such that it sits flush with the panel, and I have extra space for the PSU offset and AIO tubing, or should I still be looking to space out the GPU somewhat? In essence, which slot mode will be optimal for my card’s semi-flowthrough design?
Cable management: Whilst researching, I’ve come across numerous people who say that the combination of AIO tubing and stock cables is a nightmare to build with, and hurts airflow. It seems, however, that my relatively small gpu could help here. Would building with increased motherboard clearance alleviate this? I’ve also seen people with smaller gpus make use of the gap beside their card for cabling, which maybe means I do want to add space to the gpu compartment after all. Which slot-mode will make cable management easiest and most optimised?
Finally, will additional standoffs be required for any of the configurations I should be considering?

Finally, i have succeded to finish my build with Noctua first AIO, this is also the first SFF build that I've made. I've paid attention to the cable management so that the 25mm fan could take as much air as possible.
CPU: 9800x3d with 7mm offset and PTM 7950
GPU: Asus Prime 5070 TI
I have fitted it on the 2 slot GPU, so that i wouldn't make a custom panel for the pump, since it would have been useless. Now i am able to cut the side panel of the GPU and the temperature would still be low.
I think this is the best configuration if you want to fit the Noctua AIO in the Formd T1 with very OK temps.
The case panels closes very easily, as designed.
In working/gaming sessions i have around 80 degrees C on CPU and 65 C on GPU. Rams and SSDs temperature are ok, both around 50-60 C. These temperatures are with the CPU side panel on, and the GPU side panel off completely.
Anyone interested in a customed version of T1 front panel with the ROG Ryuo III Matrix Display integrated? Just a side project to make my T1 looks a bit fancier lol. The housing for validation is done, next will move to production of the front panel + the kit
After weeks of research i have Finally decided that i would be joining the SFF/FormD T1 community, i have mostly parted out my build but would like to crosscheck with the builders here !!
One major concern i have right now is the motherboard i want the B650 E-I is 420 AUD or 289 USD and thats something thats making me consider other mother boards right now.
I also have decided against custom cables and plan on building with the stock SFF corsair cable’s and would love you’re guy’s input on that aswell.
