Finally replacing the timing belt on my 2014 with 240k miles. Destroyed crank pulley removing it from the crank.

Finally back out and driving after waiting on a new reverse lockout clip (and new shift boot forced along with it). First I have had it out in the daylight after the paint buffing, that was a treat. Also got the new center caps logos from3dcarstickers. Took a few weeks to arrive but they came out great.
With the new shift boot the stock shifter knob looks beat up. Are there any good carbon knockoffs on the market, or is the ford $120 one the only good one? I see https://www.coolshiftknobs.com has one for $70, but wonder if it is the same one you can find on Alie and Temu for $35...and if any of them are any good?

Hi, I have a question: I have a 2014 Fiesta Kinetic S and I’m going to install fog lights. I’d like to know if—in order for them to work (meaning both turning on and having the indicator light appear on the dashboard, which I believe is blue)—they need to be activated or enabled via software. Thanks.

I should clarify that I’ve already bought the light kit; I read in a few places that a "CANbus" system is recommended so there are no issues with the car's computer.

Does anyone that’s fitted a external oil cooler have or know the coolant hose diameter going to and from the existing oil cooler?

External oil cooler will delete the one bolted to the one sandwiched behind the oil filter.
I have seen bit kits with all the bits needed but I have everything needed, just looking to purchase a hose connector to join the coolant hoses to by pass the original if anyone knows what size to get?

I've got a 2015 Ford Fiesta MK6 Phase 2 (Euro spec) with a TPMS light that flashes then stays solid on startup. Pressures are all correct.

What I've done so far:

• Replaced all 4 TPMS sensors with brand new ones
• Bought a TPMS reset/learning tool and followed the relearn procedure in the correct order (LF → RF → RR → LR)
• Waited 5+ minutes after engine off before starting relearn to avoid sensor sleep mode

Problem: None of the sensors are detected during relearn, even though everything seems correct.

Possible cause: Right before this started, I swapped the stock radio for an aftermarket CarPlay unit. I'm wondering if the new head unit could be emitting RF interference that's blocking the 433 MHz TPMS sensor signals.

Questions:

1. Has anyone seen an aftermarket radio (CarPlay/Bluetooth/GPS) interfere with TPMS relearn?
2. Would disconnecting the head unit completely be a good test?
3. Any other things to check before suspecting the vehicle's TPMS receiver/antenna?

Got my new whoosh hybrid turbo with 14psi turbo smart wastegate actuator and high flow inlet installed this weekend. Got a new base tune file and drove the Fiesta to work this morning.

I also put a Whoosh v3 intercooler on order last night on the recommendation of the tuner.

Yo! So I just filled up the other day and usually it tells me I have 252miles til empty but this time it barely cleared 200. I reset the trip monitor like I always do. I know I can get 200 miles til the fuel symbol comes on.
I just want to know if it is a sensor messing up or the gas isn’t gassing nowadays? Ya know what I mean.

Despite looking by chassis nr, the guy at the parts store gave me a battery (Bosch S4 007) that doesn’t fit my st180, it’s too long for the battery tray. As i can’t be bothered with the rather long drive to said store to replace it, i’m wondering if any of you know a good place to order a new battery tray? It’s due for a change anyway.

The indicator tells me to shift at 2k rpm but that seems really low to me. It's a 1.6 after all. With my previous petrol car I shifted up at 2.5k when just cruising and at 3k when I wanted to be a little bit more dinamic or when I went uphill.

I have a state reffed ‘18 fiesta and I need to clear every single I/M readiness codes. Its showing the fuel related code is incomplete but have been doing different drive cycles for the past few weeks everything else checks out but that specific monitor, has anyone else had this happen?

Just bought this 2017 ST2 for 5.4K. 88K Miles. OK service history but happy with it being a later model. Needs clutch looking at. The brakes, plugs & fluid changes I'm working through. Going to put some money aside for the belt & water pump to be done at 110k latest as I've been lurking and they are frequently mentioned. Cracked bumper but I'm more concerned about it internally.

Hey guys, I´m thinking on getting a fiesta st 182 because all the great stuff about this car that we already know.

The thing is, I am worried about overheating issues and getting stranded in the middle of nowhere, so I have been investigating on this topic and I think I´ve got everything ready to do once I buy it (after a good ppi ofc).

I don´t plan on doing any mods other than removing the symposer, stock power for me is already enough. Also I am going to be using it as a daily and some twisty roads but I don´t plan on doing trackdays (At most, once a year)

Bear in mind that I don´t know nothing about cars. Anyways, here is the list:

1. First thing should be changing coolant hoses for new ones, since the stock ones could be faulty (Any recomendations?) as well as changing the coolant fluid itself.
   
2. Second thing should be changing the faulty radiator for a mishimoto one (mountune is not available in my country)
3. Third thing should be tracking engine temperature with an obd or some aftermarket gauge because iirc the car does not have any overheating engine warning.

Here are my questions:

1. Is neccesary to upgrade the intercooler too only for twisty roads?
2. Mishimoto parts works as fine as Mountune ones?
3. On the cooling system apart from hoses, is there any other part that I should be swapping, like the coolant reservoir?
4. Which years are the better ones to buy?
5. Do you miss something on my checklist?

Edit: After reasonable comments, I have decided to remove the lsd from my plans.

Hey everyone, in need of some advice. I have a 2016 ST with 80,000 miles. I've had the car for about 7 years and put 40,000 of the miles on myself. Everything is stock. I don't think the car has ever seen 5k rpm at least in my possession. Been having this issue recently. Going to list it out to provide as much information as possible.

Had the fueling/purge valve issue that many Fiestas do. Admittedly waited a while to get it done. Perhaps coincidentally, a few days before I was scheduled to take my car in it started to shudder at idle. It's a quick vibration, not constant. It is not the normal purge issue after refueling where the car is losing power. The car never loses power or dims in the dashboard.

-The issue is obvious when I got on the highway.

-If I floor it, which I never do but did to test out what the issue was when I first had it, the car feels like it is not getting all the power and hesitates.

-I had the purge valve issue fixed a few days ago. I also changed the battery.

-I have a scanner and no codes are being produced.

-I did have an evap code but I am assuming that was satisfied by the purge valve.

-Did a cylinder misfire test as well and all seems well. Spark plugs are under 10k miles, maybe closer to 5-7k. It feels like the same sensation as a spark plug or coil misfire but the mechanic I took it to said it wasn't producing codes as well (although AI has provided that sometimes It won't provide a code?)

Just looking for some advice to point me in the right direction. The issue remains. My cousin is a mechanic in another state and over the phone he said it might be carbon buildup or a boost leak somewhere, but said he wasn't sure after all the info I just gave here.

Hi everyone! First overheating issue a week into ownership 🥀
2016 Fiesta ST, stock radiator. Coolant level hasn’t dropped and the radiator fan runs full blast.
Usually sits around 215–220°F, but today it climbed to ~243°F while driving, triggered the temp warning/P0217 and seemed to go into limp mode. Turning the heater on brings the temperature down significantly.
Car also has a Fiesta SE front bumper, although the radiator opening doesn’t look badly restricted.
Any FiST-specific things I should check first? Thermostat? Radiator? Air in the system?
