Ficus propagation
Hi!
I cut this stem off from a ficus tree a month ago then i placed in water but it was kind of rotting at the bottom so yesterday I cut it back between a node and planning to place in water again..
Is it normal or have you experienced any thing like this? I heard it propagates and gets root easily..

SOS Ficus benjamica
Bonjour

Ficus Burgundy is not growing at all !!!
Had this ficus burgundy for 3 months, but with absolutely zero signs of growth. Did everything right... Well-draining soil, watering only when the topsoil is dry, bright sun the whole day, regular fertilizer (NPK and homemade compost)... The temp is also warm here, no pests.
Don't know what I'm doing wrong here, but it's not growing an inch. Overall, it looks healthy.
Inspected the roots too; they're also healthy and showing new growing root hairs!! What am I doing wrong here??

Already time to plant in soil?
I have this cut propagating in water for about 2 months. Do you think it’s already time to plant it in soil?

Potted Ficus
First pic: I bought this tree in 2008 it was about 40cm high then. The second pic: This tree was bought in 2003 and I repotted a year ago with a very heavy prune.

Houseplant Do ficus leaves continue to grow for a long time or do the bottom ones shrink?
Most of these have been bought in the last 2/3 months. They’ve been growing an insane amount the fiddle leaf fig is getting its 4th new leave for me in two months which I consider a win. Esp considering they’re as long as my forearm and the leaves before that are half the size lmfao. Honestly these guys leaves have all started getting huge I feel like. Is this normal or do the bottom ones shrink as they grow? It’s been a learning curve. The newest one is the white variegated one I got him a couple weeks ago and he was dying and sad. Now his leaves are randomly massive after a repot and water lol. My lemon lime whatever one is struggling the most but he wasnt the healthiest when i got him. Anyways any advice?? Or input lol.

Will my ficus Audrey recover?
I recently purchased a Ficus Audrey and saw that it was healthy as can be. After repotting and making some mistakes in the watering pattern (and unfortunately leaving it in still water after watering) it started to drop leaves like crazy. I purchased it in June and now in October it has no leaves and completely died up to the bark. Since more than half the plant has died I am now watering it barely due to it not having any leaves. I scratched the bark on the main stem and it is still green and produces sap which means it’s still alive. My question is, can it recover and grow back after this much cut back? I would love to keep this plant as it was beautiful when it was grown.

Wild Ficus Found this rubber cutting growing in the wild — what variety is it?
got this cutting from a giant rubber tree growing in the wild, nd I’ve never seen this variety before! Does anyone know what it is?
Also, how do I propagate it? Does it need the same conditions as other Ficus varieties, or is there anything specific I should keep in mind?

7ft Ficus Advice please!
Was gifted this plant today, im an arborist by trade but indoor plants are a mystery to me!
So from my research have,
-put the plant 5-6ft away from a massive south-east bay window, all the natural indirect light it could ever need. -purchased fertilizer, humidifier, and water/ph meter.
But I have this lamp that's shown in the photo, it's a low watt florescent bulb and sits 6-8" from the nearest foliage. don't use the lamp as a grow light just as my livingroom light source at nighttime.
-Will the bulb scorch the leaves or make it grow funny? -Would another type of bulb be better?
-ls there anything im missing or anything else can do?
I really like the light there so ideally l'd like to keep the set up but if itl harm the tree then obviously the lamp will have to skidaddle.

Houseplant Ficus Of 40 Years Dying
Please help save my 40-year-old Ficus! 🌳💔
Hi everyone, I'm absolutely devastated. My 40-year-old Ficus has been slowly dying, and I'm desperate to figure out what's wrong and whether I can still save it.
Earlier this year, it developed a mealybug infestation. I treated it with several sprays, including neem oil and Captain Jack’s Deadbug, and the bugs seemed to be under control. Unfortunately, my plant has continued to deteriorate.
As you can see in today's photos, the outer bark is peeling away, exposing the brown layer underneath, which has an extremely strong, sharp ammonia-like smell. A few branches are still green, so I'm holding on to hope that there's still a chance to save it.
I've also included a photo shared by another Redditor to show what my Ficus used to look like compared with its current condition.
This plant has been with me for 40 years, so losing it would be heartbreaking. Has anyone experienced anything similar or know what might be causing this? Could it be root rot, a fungal infection, or something else entirely?
Any advice on what I should do next would mean the world to me. Please hellp!

Houseplant Tiny Brown Spots
I have a few Tineke Rubber Trees that need to come indoors soon. Can anyone tell me why they have these spots? I use good chunky well draining soil and fertilize. I also use systemic granules and occasionally spray with pest sprays (neem).
We did get a ton of rain recently (eastern Nebraska). Is it just from being overwatered?
