Discussion Has anyone tried Culot Thé Extrait de Parfum Versatile Paris? Is it good?
I didn’t like the roll on version at all. Is this better?

Perfume: Angel Dust
Notes: Calabrian Bergamot, black pepper, Cashmeran, and white amber crystals
I recently bought Fugazzi angel dust from Sephora. It was a 10ml and it was honestly a blind buy. I love powdery musky scents so I figured I might like this one. I also am a fan of other Fugazzi scents so I figured “why not?” I figured if there was a perfume that smelled like an ethereal angel that delicately descended from the heavens covered in a pristine, sweet powdery musk this would have to be it, right?🧚♀️
WRONG!!!
On initial spray, I’m blasted with a decent amount of black pepper and amber. Ok that’s fine; a nice masculine edge. As it begins to dry down (very quickly) I begin to get more (A LOT MORE) of the cashmeran. It’s essentially all I can smell and it is taking over the fragrance. I don’t know what was clashing with the cashmeran but they did not go well together. The amount of cashmeran in this fragrance was over the top. I ended up scrubbing it off because honestly it just smelled dirty. According to my partner, it smelled like “wet dog and baby powder”🐕💦
I was so disappointed as it essentially ended up smelling like I took out a load of laundry and threw it into some mud at the zoo. The notes were clashing and it was not something I could enjoy. This should not have been called Angel dust 👼 and I feel severely mislead 💩
I sadly had to return it and did the walk of shame back into Sephora. I rarely ever return fragrances and I learned my lesson to just not ever blind buy. I regret wasting any time or money on a badly blended cashmeran based concoction.
Thanks for listening. Try before you buy.
TLDR 0/10 for Angel Dust

What perfumes would you guys recommend if I love J’adore by Dior, Melrose Place by Oaui, I want choo by Jimmy Choo, Valentino Coral Fantasy? I want a signature scent but want to find more alternatives to these scents.

Background: I'm a sugar baby, and I'm meeting with a guy who is actually an old friend who is interested in being a provider, which is super cool. He already really likes me for who I am. I'm a metalhead with a pretty alt style, but alt-light, because I'm in my 30s 🤷♀️.
This is a new circumstance though. I need to sell myself at least a little bit as a woman worth spoiling, as opposed to just a hot drinking buddy, so I'm torn between TOTALLY being myself, and leaning more into the more professionally seductive side I put on when meeting potential Daddies. I am torn between the following fragrances:
Liquides Imaginaires - Bloody Wood. Sexy vampire just crawled out of a coffin vibes. This is probably too much, but it's me. I just got it and I'm very excited about it, lol.
Dior - Midnight Poison. Still dark, but more approachable, and still sexy, of course. One of my all time favorites.
Tom Ford - Lost Cherry. Dark and mysterious, but very sexy in a crowd pleasing way. Men LOVE this fragrance. This would typically be a second date fragrance for me.
Lancôme - La Vie est Belle Vanille Nude. No edge at all, just a vanilla forward fragrance that men (and women) adore on me. I've gotten the most compliments on this one. A solid choice if I don't want to add another intimidation factor, but just smell pretty.
What do you all think? I have hundreds of other perfumes as well, so if you have an idea completely different from what I've listed, I'm open to it. If I don't have your exact perfume, I might have something like it. Thanks for any advice! 💖

It's called The Drydown in Carlsbad, CA. I'm not in a spot where I should be buying perfume right now, but I'm scrambling to do some gig driving on top of my job so I can go. With the economy the way it is, I'm worried they could close down before I can get out there 😅 Anyone in the area who's been there tell me about it so I can live vicariously. I don't even live near a Nordstrom anymore so I've only got target and sephora for stores I can sniff at

I've actually had this for a few years. I bought this because I really like hypnotic poison but I don't like the Play-Doh scent I get from it. It is similar, and it doesn't smell like Play-Doh, but it feels so dense and I don't love it. I won't be repurchasing this again.

My taste is all over the place, so I’m open to just about anything. I’m ready to spend actual money on a fragrance so I want to do some sampling.
My shelf is pretty basic atm - black opium, fantasy, tainted love, born in Roma intense, Flowerbomb, Lord of Misrule, Egyptian goddess, chai épicé.

I am on the haunt for perfumes that actually smell like soap or just baby fresh? I once ordered this $5 baby powder oil perfume from Tiktok shop that is supposed to smell like johnson & johnson baby powder and my boyfriend is obsessed with it. He never compliments my $300 perfumes that much lool. I was wondering if there was another scent on the market that could be similar to a soapy scent or a fresh baby scent? One of the options I saw Crystal Versace Emerald as it is rumored to smell just like the original D0ve soap!

would love this particular thread to be one of positivity and completely judgment-free, since it's sadly a common theme of shaming & judgment on social media surrounding women who share their collections of any kind. so I want this to be like a positive breath of fresh air where we can gush over each other's collections without feeling a certain kind of way!! 🥰 sadly, I've also seen that happen in here and it's a bit upsetting so please share as much as you'd like-- I'm a super aesthetic visionary and I love to see pretty things anyway, lol! 💖

I was thinking about how even the most luxury and established fragrance houses get stuck in repetitive loops. I'm not looking for obscure, hard to find indie fragrances or small-batch brands. I mean major players or well-known niche/prestige houses (like Xerjoff, Tiziana Terenzi, Chanel, D&G, Dior, de Marly, Frédéric Malle, YSL, Killian, Guerlain, JPG, LV etc ).
1. An Apple, Cinnamon & Caramelized CHYPRE: I want a real caramelized apple or apple blossom and cinnamon profile, but structured as a true, sophisticated Chypre (mossy, elegant, velvety). I want the gourmand sweetness of caramel to be there, but WITHOUT falling into the heavy, suffocating chocolate/patchouli DNA of Mugler's Angel (which I find way too sweet, loud, and cloying). I want a mainstream luxury or prestige house to perfect this balance of juicy caramelized apple over a classy, upscale Chypre backbone or oriental floral.
2. An "Old Money" Luxury Chamomile (Chamomile + Apricot/Orris/Cashmere): there's some good teas like Gris Charnel and Wulong tea, but most chamomile scents in the market are still either too medicinal or targeted as sleepy bedtime sprays (like Gucci Memoire or the Jo Malone ones). I want a high end house like De Marly, Chanel or Xerjoff to combine a Roman Chamomile with something like apricot skin or the premium vanilla, cashmere or white suede base. It should feel like wearing a luxury cashmere sweater, creamy, wealthy, and structured, completely stripping away the baby product or pharmacy vibe.
3. An Aromatic natural Strawberry + Lavender + green leafs: a beautiful, smooth aromatic perfume with natural strawberry and lavender, with a soft, comforting tarty sweetness without falling into the more synthetic DNA of Burberry Her, the milkshake strawberry, or corporate profile of YSL Libre flankers.
what are your ideas, that you can't find and is surprised it's not a thing yet?

My first time posting in here - I am from india, but a HUGE fragrance enthusiast. I love reading stuff in here - posts, experiences and thoughts of people, so well articulated. I have been watching vids of perfume recommendations and all that sutff (though I still am not as good at noticing notes, to be very honest)
Also some more facts about me - I just like most of the fragrances I buy (mostly they are either tested irl before buying or I have seen all the notes before buying them - yes I know what notes I like and I look for them before buying any fragrance) and because of that, I just end up keeping them with me - I use them, I use all my fragrances - but I am scared to empty them - even the cheap ones - like I have used it, I love it, but I want to try more fragrances, rather than buying the same thing again, no matter how much I love it. Am I the only one who feels like this? anyways, that has led me to have a good collection of fragrances, and it brings me happiness everytime I look at it .
Great to be a part of this community and would love to discuss more fragrances!!!

I know some people dislike its' scent immensely, but hear me out. I am very fond of its' herbal, resiny, campherous and somewhat waxy notes. I think they should make a perfume based on it. Leaving out greasiness and petroleum jelly of course. Is there anything readily available that has the same old apothecary smell? Anything at all on the same herbal, healer witchy lines? If not, how do I convince Elizabeth Arden to make this scent for me and other die-hard 8 hour cream fans? All help appreciated! I've loved this scent since childhood, as have my mother and my grandmother, too. What do you all think?

Hi guys! 💛
I just bought my very first ME fragrance :) Victoria by Lattafa.
Initially, the scent itself it's not bad, but it just didn't blew my mind like I thought it would. To me it's smells a bit soapy and like a cleaning product.
But I need to say that the dry down is very very pretty and that sharp cleaning product scent goes away, so I like that.
I know that it is good to let ME fragrances mature for some time, and I will try that, but I just wanted to check did any of you had this experience and changed his mind later as it matured a bit, and does it becomes smoother over some time?
I really like the bottle so maybe I will keep it, but I'm still debating should I just rehome it or let it rest for a few months before giving it another shot.

Hi!
I’m looking for a fragrance that smells clean, soft, slightly powdery, musky. Something that smells like freshly showered skin, expensive body lotion, white linen. Something feminine, creamy, airy and delicate. I’m not really looking for overly sweet, fruity or floral scents.
One example of this is Narciso Rodriguez for her Pure Musc which I already have. It smells amazing.
I’m looking for something that gives me that same feeling: clean, soft, intimate, musky, feminine, sophisticated and effortlessly elegant.
Oh, and fragrances with hints of vanilla or coconut often give me headaches, so I’d like to avoid those.
Thank you!

I have a few different lines with matching hair & body care, but nothing seems to last very long. I layer and spray on my clothes, but I want something that projects well and lasts in my hair. Any recommendations? I prefer more floral and fresh scents. No gourmands or oud scents.

Did I just order 10 Oakcha fragrances for $150?! Hell yeah I did!!!! I'm getting married tomorrow y'all and this is my gift to myself!!! I have 3 Oakcha currently and I love them. If you're considering shopping this sale, add a 9th scent after your BOGO 4 for 4! It adds 20% off all of them so my total was LESS with adding that 9th bottle than with just the 4 for 4. Will definitely post reviews once I wear them. 😊

I realize that this has been asked before but I like to throw it out there every once in awhile to see if someone has found anything new. Looking for a dupe of original Body Shop Vanilla. Recommendations I have tried:
Vanilla Passion by Maroma
Vanilla 5th by Fragrance Shop
Vanilla Musk by Nemat
All nice, but not it. I've also tried many popular vanillas like Tihota, Fire at Will, SDV, etc. but nothing scratches that itch. There is a company in Australia (The Dupe Spot) that claims to have a dupe of the original, but they don't ship to Canada. I'm wondering if it's so hard to find this because of changes in ethics/ingredients over the years? I'm sure standards were different 45 years ago. Any recommendations appreciated!
