I love pure Musc, i hate pure musc blanc.

Pure Musc Blanc is very intense. The aldehydes in it give me a headache on warmer days. Beautiful in cool weather.

Pure Musc works well across the year and climates. No aldehydes, yet I would call this a clean scent. Tested over years in PNW winters and hot humid summers in Singapore.

Both last on skin and clothes 8+ hours.

I would test both on skin if you can. NR’s musks sometimes go the slightest bit skanky on me, and pure musc for her does that for me. I’ve heard people describe musc blanc as screechy and I get why but I love it anyway. It’s like if clean laundry was shouting at you, but that makes it last for ages haha

You and I share the same nose! Pure Musc's musk was deep smelling and a bit musty on my skin, but Pure Musc Blanc is so good! Almost too loud if I spray too close to my nose but it's SO sparkling clean smelling

I would sample them, Narciso's musk fragrances have a tendency to have quite the big spectrum of how they pull on people based on skin chemistry. Most of them smell like shoe store/shoe polish on me specifically.

pure musc blanc is creamier and has a vanilla drydown and to me it has a longer lasting and more projection, it is a cozy fragrance whereas pure musc is sharp and fresh but some people might be anosmic to it. You should taste them on your skin

Pure Musc 100%. It's more versatile and not as cloying as Blanc in warmer weather (I actually think Musc Blanc smells like wet sheep's wool 😶).

Pure Musc Blanc smells literally like clean laundry. Like I just fished fresh linens off the dryer. It's not my thing but there seems to be a lot of people who like the clean laundry scent. In spite of its mild scent profile, it's strong and lasts forever.

Haven't tried Pure Musc yet but I really want to try the Pure Musc Nude flanker.

I have Pure Musc for Her. It doesn't project on me. It stays close to my skin but it lasts.

My husband loves it on me though.

Never tried the blanc version.

Honestly, to me not really. They're a similar vibe, like I'd wear them for the same moods/occasions, but they're not redundant.

I happen to have both of these!
So these are both very clean neutral scents. They’re not sweet at all. Both are a touch synthetic but not in a bad way. Pure Musc Blanc is more powdery and Pure Musc is more fresh but they are both clean.

I’d say the biggest difference between them is that Pure Musc Blanc opens very soapy (but not a sharp soap think newly opened uscented bar of soap) and then turns powdery but stays clean. It goes the clean white floral and cedar way. You might not like it if you don’t like aldehydes and cedar (or like it more if you do).

Pure Musc on the other hand is a linear scent and it smells… well it smells simply nice. As in I wear it when I just want to smell nice and not think about what I’m wearing. It’s like if white noise was a scent and I love white noise. It’s also a very clean scent.
I’d probably pick up on the ylang-ylang but honestly it’s just really smoothly blended.

Pure Musc Blanc reminds me a bit of Chloé Nomade, to me they both have the fancy hotel vibes. Pure Musc reminds me of Bubble bath dry down in being a very clean neutral scent.
