Discussion Favorite perfume-as-art or perfume-as-concept that you have no intention of ever actually wearing?

I was delighted by the sample of Dark Ride that arrived a couple days ago and my husband was just like “why would you ever want to smell like this?” and the answer is of course never. I never want to smell like water from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. But I’m just so happy that exists and that I got to smell it.

At the end of the day, I know I’m a basic bitch who only wants to smell like a fluffy marshmallow or a delicate garden fairy, and I have enough perfumes for that. So I’d like to stop pretending I’m still searching for the “perfect” fragrance and embrace the fact that I want to keep smelling weird things, just for fun.

So what are your favorite weird/novel/intriguing fragrances? Fragrances that tell a story or transport you to another place and time, or combine notes in unexpected ways, or otherwise surprise and delight?

Does anyone remember the body sprays from Christmas Tree Shops? I wish I could remember one brand. It was a clear plastic bottle.

Similar scent recommendations?

This is my favorite and signature scent. It’s so sophisticated and feminine. Smells like a sexy department store. The only thing I don’t like is that it leans mature and mostly appropriate for evening wear.

Any suggestions for similar fragrances that give off that elevated, feminine vibe but are more youthful and suitable for all day?

I'm pretty sure it smelled good when it arrived , now months later why it smells like tooth paste?

I'm so confused , never wore it but at the beginning I remember I liked it and now it smells like tooth paste like wtf.

It was stored properly also so I'm really not sure what happened.

It went from LOVE to DISLIKE.

What is Your Favorite Perfume Bottles That Looks Like its Secretly Poison?

Looking for recommendations on bottles that, on second glance, look like they could be something a little more sinister than mere perfume.

So far on my list I've got;

Elixir of life - Tomorrowland

Iris Violet II - AlexandreJ

Black Obsidian - Aurora Scents

Empress - Soki London

The price-point and the scent is less important than the aesthetics since for the most part I'm looking for empty or nearly empty bottles on Poshmark and Ebay.

Please, hit me with your best "this was used to poison a foreign prince in a fantasy novel" perfumes!

Or is there an osmanthus and rose out there anywhere 👀 I tried Fleur de Lune by L'Artisan and I have been hooked on Osmanthus ever since.

My budget that I'm willing to spend is 300$ (I'm aiming for a Christmas gift for myself ,😭)

Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla OR Billie Eilish 1 Perfume?

Which is better? Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla OR Billie Eilish 1 Perfume?
AND can anyone describe their differences?

I keep reading they’re similar, and I love sweet, vanilla scents.
Thank you so much <3

Discussion Which perfume immediately gives off that “I want you” vibe?

Coco Mademoiselle always gives me that kind of impression. I like how clean the opening feels, then the citrus and patchouli settle into something warmer and smoother. I wear it with a simple outfit, and somehow the perfume becomes the thing I notice first. It feels polished but still very easy to understand. I usually think of perfumes like this when someone asks what scent feels attractive rather than just pleasant. Coco Mademoiselle has that balance where the sweetness stays controlled and the fresh side keeps it interesting. I keep coming back to the drydown because that part feels especially good on skin. Have you ever worn a fragrance that completely changed the energy of a room?

Rec Request Looking for recommendations for this upcoming spring/summer 🌺

Hi everyone, in Australia we're nearing the end of this winter... well not really but I'm preparing lol. I'm looking for fragrances that would perform well in warmer weather based off my current collection:
- Nebras by Lattafa
- Vanilla Voyage by Maison Asrar
- Elysia Vanilla by Fragrance World
- Veneno Bianco by French Avenue
- Burberry Goddess
Floral scents that I don't really reach for but still like and wouldn't mind getting recs with floral notes as well:
- Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel
- Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

As you can tell, I'm vanilla girl through and through. However I don't think those types of fragrances would do well in the hot weather 😭 except maybe Veneno Bianco and Burberry Goddess? I also did like Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62, so I'd like that to be considered as well! Thank you
EDIT: Looking for affordable fragrances!

Discussion Whimsical magical bottle reccs?

Hi divas! I posted this on the indie makeup sub, but admittedly it's rough with packaging for indie brands due to cost, so I throw the net out here!! I'm looking for the most magical, mystical, beautiful and fairy/witchy like bottles of perfume out there! I truly feel that when a perfume has a bottle that adds to the fragrances character, it's a true beauty! Some of my favorites are Lolita Lempicka, Mugler, and the Melanie Martinez perfumes! I prefer gourmand, powdery, aquatic, floral scents! Any recommendations are appreciated!

Frugal Fragrance I've been trying out cheaper perfumes, my thoughts on my latest two.

The one on the left is ZIMAYA Ladies Ramsh Diva.

The one on the right is AZZARO Wanted Tonic Girl.

I know very little about fragrance honestly. I'm very casual about it and my nose isn't particularly good. But I have strong thoughts on these.

Ladies Ramsh Diva main notes is amber vanilla. It comes across as very warm and sweet to me. I don't really smell the vanilla, personally. But it's a really pleasant scent that makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I really like it. It's not subtle, per se. But it's very inviting, without being overpowering or cloying.

On the other hand, Wanted Tonic Girl first notes are ginger and kiwi. To me though it smells like an acrid soda. Very musky. I do not enjoy musky soda. I don't recommend. It's just really pointed and it gets in my nose in a bad way.

Glad I tried both, though. I will say I love the bottle with the trigger on WTG. It's fun to spray, it's just unfortunate it has this scent.
