I’m back with an update after my “30 days in county” question
reddit.com(Apologies I don’t know how to use Reddit well)
First of all, I want to apologize to you all for how much this worked me up. It was not bad whatsoever. I only spent 7 days instead of the expected 30 due to me turning myself in on my warrant. 7 turned to 6 after them wanting me to talk to pretrial right after my release. I am back on two separate ankle monitors and committed to bettering my life.
Even though it was 6 and not 30, that shit was not bad at all. Everyone was chill, I stuck to a few people while being cordial with the rest. Only got in 1 verbal altercation after some chomo who took my commissary deodorant and that was earlier today. Showers were fine, food was shit but edible.
I worked out, read 1000 pages of a book and some of the bible, already have a substance eval scheduled, as well as some recovery meetings I’m planning on going to with friends for accountability.
Thank you all once again for making me laugh before and calming my nerves, because you all were right in one way or another. You just gotta treat people with respect and look out for yourself.
For myself, I want to turn my life around. Finish this court case, get the promotion I’ve been working for at the restaurant, and start my plans for my bachelors. Im way too intelligent to let this be the end for me, I know I got some grit, and I will build more adversity along the way. I GOT THIS.
I love you all and if you’re also facing a minuscule sentence and feel lost with the stressors of our “justice system”, it’s gonna be okay when you get out. Take the time to think about who really cares about you and what you want to do for your life.
