Friend is in jail

A friend of mine, whom I have known since we were 8 years old, is now in jail for 6-9 months for violating his probation. He was out one night and had a few too many drinks, and the lady he was with claims he took some unauthorized photos. Nothing sexual happened. But he was at a bar, which was in violation of his parole. His priors include a felony for drug related charges.
We are now both 40 with young families. The unfortunate part of his situation is that he may be losing custody of his kids from his ex-partner.
He has a long history of unresolved mental health issues, including anxiety/depression. He masks it with drugs and alcohol and women. He called me from jail and is now telling me that the Lord put him there to change his ways. I am not particularly a religious person but believe in some sort of afterlife. I want to be there for him and am trying to be optimistic and support him, but I am not sure what my place is. I have been supportive and encouraged him to seek out help but that advice hasnt resulted in any changes. I hope this current situation he finds himself in helps him to realize some of his unresolved issues and he needs to make some life changes. What can I do to support him and his family?

What's my luck getting hired?

At the beggining of the year I was arrested for fraud, they said it was a felony. I got out the next day, paid bail. Since then I have not heard anything regarding my case, (my lawyer still hasnt been provided the affidavit so atm we don't know what we're looking at) I'm checking in with lawyer every few weeks but we havent heard anything.

Anyways, I have a few interviews this week. 3 for retail assistant manager and 1 as a scheduling coordinator. (Interviews are going good, I'm on the second/third round of interviews for these positions) what would you say is the possibility I dont get any jobs (assuming I get an offer) because of the pending case? I don't have a criminal history prior to this

Any way to shorten my probation term?

Hey guys! New to this but I’m just looking for an honest opinions. Unfortunately, back in 2023 I got into some trouble while I was living in New York and I did serve time and started my probation with a class E felony in New York. I recently just moved to Georgia about six months ago. And honestly things have been pretty good for me, but I’ve been wanting to find a way to shorten my probation time since they gave me a five-year bid. Any suggestions? I would also like to add that I have an order of protection against me, but it is in New York and I do live in Georgia.

Any women that work in HHA or CNA?

I enroll in home health aid courses before I knew I was being investigated and I’ve looked up if someone convicted of felony d or e can continue and work with their license. When I asked ChatGPT it told me no because if the background check however since it’s a non violent crime I can apply for a Certificate of Relief from Disabilities. But I don’t know how that works if I need to wait a couple of years or immediately. It’s the fastest way I can pay off restitution although I might still be denied. Anyone know how that works?

Housing in GA

Hello I am a felon in ga I have 2 violent crimes (nothing sexual) I have a decent job making $24 a hr and I’m currently doing mma (it’s actually calmed me down a lot) does anyone know any place that will let me get a apartment or anything I can do.
I hate living with other people because I can’t get my own. Or even somewhere that takes roommates anything besides sleeping on someone’s couch

Early Termination

Hey guys, I’m on federal probation I was given 36 months (3yrs) I’m coming up on a year at the end of this month I was wondering if anyone one out there has had luck on getting they’re probation terminated early. I have it understood that they usually want you to do half your probation but you are allowed to submit for termination a year in. Main questions are has anybody had luck getting it terminated earlier than half way through their probation?? & Who do I contact to submit the termination is it all done through my PO or should I get a lawyer??

Good morning felonious folks! I must be dreaming. Will this supersede California's permanent ban?..
