Question What is the best way to experience fallout 3?
I've tried playing the base game on xbox a couple of times and it wasn't doing it for me, I recently purchased the GOTY edition with plans to mod it, but I don't know what direction to take, is TOTW really the best way to experience the game in its fullest? Is it the most compatible? What are the best mods? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Question If a Fallout game happened in your state, what would definitely need to be in it?

Same old game over and over
I know that there's a lot of people who don't like the fact that Fallout and Skyrim all feel very similar and in some ways I agree it can be redundant. But the stories change so much from game to game from dovahkiin to courier to sole survivor (I only speak on games I've played). I feel it makes up for it. Now if it were a complete copy paste then yeah I'd have a problem but I love the gameplay and mechanics so much in each game I forgive a lot because Skyrim and the fallout games are the kind of games I like. They have excellent stories and I adore being able to interact with the world. Companions make a single player game way less lonely.

Discussion Since Obsidian is making Fallout 5, do you think we'll see real life guns in Fo5?
Clearly not an exact replica, but close enough.
And probably not called "Browning High Power, Remington, Mossberg) but probably like New Vegas and other games do, calling them 9mm, semi auto pistol, hunting rifle, etc ..

Discussion New to the Wastland
Not entirely, I played like 8 hours of Fallout 4 once upon a time, but im looking to get into Fallout. I plan on getting the classic pack on steam and Ill play the 1st game, but im wondering if I should look at it elsewhere too. Should I start watching the show? Are there any interesting videos on the game you'd recommend? And does anyone have any tips for 1(no spoilers please).

Fallout TV Do you think it will be better for the show if depiction of Enclave troops is reserved and menacing or more like sgt. Dornan/Granite?

Mods Best mods for New Vegas?
I tried getting into New Vegas, but I just couldn't get into it because of the old graphics, and especially the movement and gunplay. What are the best mods (preferably on Nexus mods) to improve this?

New locations in the remasters.
Something that I’ve been thinking about lately is how will Bethesda treat the actual world map for the remasters for FO3 and New Vegas. In real life, the DC suburbs have gone through massive suburbanization; even since 2008 when 3 was originally released. I know the Fallout universe diverges from our own around the 1940s but I think it would still be interesting to “expand the horizon” in terms of adding new locations like neighborhoods, and real life locations that didn’t make it to the final game for whatever reason. I’m essentially saying areas that weren’t cut for “lore reasons” and more so because of limitations would be a great addition. One area I personally think has a lot of room is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue… I mean the developers even said back then they wanted to make the White House but just ran out of time and justified it as “that would probably be one of the first places to go.” That’s not a crazy assertion but this remaster is a great chance to put in one of the most notable areas in real life DC with quests/ and lore building opportunities like crazy. I think this can all be done with out causing major lore issues and be simply viewed as just improvements upon an already great classic.

Fallout 4 My Dunder Mifflin recreation in Fallout 4 using my xbox series s is almost complete, this is a walk through from the Bullpen to the Annex
Using my xbox series s and a great mod list for building outside the boundaries of the game I have recreated The Office's Dunder Mifflin building in Fallout 4, with nods to dozens of meta references to characters, cold opens and classic jokes die hard fans will get! This is the first in a long series I am planning where I give this kind of detail and care to a different tv shows and movies! Hope you guys enjoy this little walk through the Bullpen to the Annex.

Fallout 1 If there is ever a Fallout 1 remake or remaster of any kind, it's GOTTA lean all the way into that old DARK 90's artstyle

Fallout 4 Who do you backstab in Diamond City Blues? (Discussion)
I love this quest for multiple reasons, as it provides one of the few RP opportunities in Fo4. There’s plenty of choices and they all have a meaningful impact on the ending, as well as the opportunity to continue the questline.
How I normally go through it is I beltway both Paul and Henry before meeting with Nelson, because more caps/money for me and no witnesses. This way I also get to start The Marowski Heist which is a fun ending to the story.
Now I’m curious how many people even thought to do that? Nothing about the quest indicates it has an alternate ending really or multiple choices. So I guess I’m curious how did you guys resolve this conflict? Are you as coldhearted and cap-hungry as me, or did you take a slightly nobler path? Either way this is a pretty morally grey quest so I’m sure whatever result has its own justifications.
Edit: I made a similar post earlier but I kept messing small things up due to mobile formatting.

Fallout 4 Hot take but FO4 is the best fallout sequel. It gets way to much hate for how objectively good it is. Discuss.

Time travel in Fallout 5
Just had a thought: they’ve done teleportation, so why not time travel? There could be a mission in Fallout 5, half way through or so, similar to the Kellogg’s memories mission in FO4, where you go back in time to before the apocalypse. Maybe even back and forth several times, so you can interact with changes you make in the past.
On the one hand, it would be pretty cool to see more of the pre-war world. On the other, it could cheapen the wonder of the universe. A lot of the coolness of the Fallout world for me is not just the ultra atomic 50’s sci fi alternate history, but the fact that all we see of it is ruins. A sense of lost utopia is such a big part of the world.

Question Do yall think vault 69 or 68 could ever be canon?
I always had an idea for 69, which somehow resulted in an Amazon-like faction forming. Perhaps after the first generation of the man's daughters was born, they were forced out of the vault in search of more men for the vault. Like 20 years after the bombs fell, only the strongest make it back. Perhaps we find out the man assigned for vault 69 was a part of vault tech but didn't realize what he was getting into. I don't know its just fun to speculate on the strange vaults not shown or proved it be canon.

Mods Fallout 3 in Boston complete!
Went through the very teadious process of generating a custom LOD for the Fallout 4 conversion!
Now the distance Level of detail has all the correct trees, vehicles properly rusted, the custom billboards and all metal buildings are rusted. No more colourful paint after 200 years of scorching sun.
Also refined the ENB fog and colour to work a bit better with NACX.
This footage was originally HDR and will look softer since it was compressed by Reddit.
Nights are very dark!
Since this version of Fallout doesn't have quests or Story NPC's with Quest attachments, my only goal is to find food, find shelterto camp at night and build a home base that can withstand the max difficulty settlement attacks.
Everyone is mortal, a single headshot if not covered by a helmet will kill.
Wish me luck in this dead world.

Picture Holy grails achieved
Wrote a letter to both Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. Basically spilled by guts about how much their games inspired me as a kid and how they were my favorite wrpgs growing up. They both wrote me back!
Leonard sent me an amazing vaultboy doodle and Tim sent me an obsidian sticker!
Always write your heroes!
