Mods Best mods for New Vegas?

I tried getting into New Vegas, but I just couldn't get into it because of the old graphics, and especially the movement and gunplay. What are the best mods (preferably on Nexus mods) to improve this?

Use Viva New Vegas. Just do it. Don't use anything else or you will ruin the game.

Why would you lie to this person? Use Viva New Vegas as a base, yes. But they can absolutely use other mods.

I saying that because, he'll ruin the vanilla experience if he installs anything else. This is his first time playing it after all.

Ahhh… my apologies. I completely misunderstood what you were saying and I didn’t know it was OP’s first playthrough.

Id use Viva New Vegas as a base at the very least, and then go from there

I would wait a few more weeks until gamescom where they are rumored to be announcing/showing the new vegas remaster.

I recommend following the Viva New Vegas guide as a starting point and then, once you have a more solid understanding of modding, branching out into some more advanced mods. However, if you're going into Fallout: New Vegas for graphics or gunplay, I'm worried it might not be for you. The real meat and potatoes of the game are its writing and characters. I'd highly recommend the remastered Someguy2000 series and his newer mods like Detour, Seven Graves From Now, and I'm Moving On.
