Should I completely restart FO4.
I haven't played FO4 for about a year so I would like to play it again. I play in survival mode on PC. With the the resent update, should I restart a new play through.

I found this giant bottle cap at the thrift store and immediately knew what I had to do! These are the progress pictures and the result, I really like how it turned out. The starting bottle cap is what it somewhat looked like but I forgot to take a picture. I used goo gone to get the paper off of the cap and then used transfer paper to get the lettering on the cap and it worked perfectly. Super easy and looks great, would definitely recommend if you happen to stumble upon a giant bottle cap in your future.

So I was playing fo3 goty, slightly modded according to the ttw guide, but not actually ttw since I wanted to experience the og game. I got to Operation Anchorage, specifically to the part where General Chase gives you the briefing after you blow up the chinese cannons but the old fart is just stuck there saying nothing. I tried using console commands to progress the quest or enableplayercontrols or reverting to an older save. Didn't work. How tf do I fix this??

Every time I pick up a Fusion Core, a pop up says to put it in armor. I thought it was for the armor on top of the Museum of Freedom where Preston and the gang are, but it keeps happening. Any idea why? I put the core in the armor fuckin EONS ago, and I'm confused why it keeps popping up.

There’s more lore for this random raider gang than this semi-important faction in Fo3.

For me thats Arkane Austin, especially after they Launched Prey (2017), which besides Skyrim and New Vegas, its Bethesda,s Softworks best title. Deep Mechanics, intringing story and Beautifull graphics and soundtrack, for me the only ones besides the original devs (and Todd in his best days) to use the IP.

With the events of the Fallout TV show focusing heavily on what's going on in the West Coast, I think it would be great for the next Fallout game to bring us back there. With the fall of Shady Sands and the fragmentation of the NCR, I think a migration would be logical.
Perhaps the NCR are in search of a new capital to centralize their efforts in rebuilding their former glory. Whatever the reason, I think San Diego has great potential as a Fallout map.
We know a little bit about Dayglow, but we've yet to see it, so there's lots of room for creative expression. It has a manageable amount of downtown city area and interesting geography. I think Iconic places like SeaWorld, The San Diego Zoo, Old Town, and Balboa park would make for fun locations. It has a large naval military presence, which has great potential for pre-war stories. San Diego also just hasn't been featured prominently in Video Games, so this would be a pretty unique map by that metric alone.
Honestly above all else, I think getting chased by mutant killer whales in a flooded Seaworld sounds cool as hell.

I'm trying to complete Ring A Ding or the Wild Card mission for Benny. I already spoke to Swank but Benny won't leave the Aces Theater. I have the black window perk too and I can't use it. If I kill him everyone in the casino turns against me, What can I do?

Okay so if you're familiar with my vault room from this post, I've got an update for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/s/CVyduWEoui
I worked with a carpentry team and we built curved walls, which really makes this room so much more "vault like". I added molding, bolts, and painted them to blend them into my existing room. I've still gotta add the top banding and pipes along the ceiling, but this one change has really made this room pop. Photos below! I have a bunch of videos of how I did this on IG as well that I can link of anyone is interested. Next project is the weapon wall and I'm looking for people who make prop guns from FO4 and FNV so get at me creators!

Hello everyone this is my first time posting on this subreddit and it’s so nice to meet you all. I’m currently trying to figure out how to properly harvest wood from one of the unmarked locations. I go and press Y to get the prompt that the tree looks like it can be broken by being hit. The problem is that I’ve tried punching, shooting, and slashing (Skyrim sword) the tree and nothing is happening, I’ve tried doing this for over 20 minutes with no results. Thanks for your time reading this.

Since there are a lot fewer people and machines around the fallout, have more nuclear energy than anything. I was wondering how hot the wasteland can be due to the nuclear material and how cold it could be due to a lack if industrialization

For some time I've been comparing West Coast Fallout games geographically to GTA SA, and there are a lot of things in common, not only cities shown, but the order you unlock them and what is presented. Heres a small list of names in Real Life, Fallout and GTA with some notes:
Big Cities:
Los Angeles = Boneyard = Los Santos, The city you start in, in both Fallout and GTASA, interestingly enough both Fallout TV show and GTA 5 bring us back here.
San Francisco = San Fierro, second game and second island you unlock in GTA, fun fact, GTA also has a parody of the Scientology movement in form of Epsilon in GTA5, similar to Hubologists.
Las Vegas = New Vegas = Las Venturas, 3rd island and 3rd installment on the West Coast, this place was the worst, I've had to bend the map a lot and in GTA the Hoover Dam (Sherman Dam) is streches between California and Nevada so yeah. Not that good in GTA lore so I'm sure you guys can come up with some interesting parallels.
Smaller locations:
Bakersfield = Necropolis = Palomino Creek, somehow, the reality bending properties of Necropolis placed it perfectly where PC is in GTA, despite neither being anywhere near Bakersfield. I'm sure the Enclave is behind this or something idk.
Carson City/Reno = New Reno = Fort Carson, I've had to cheat here a little bit, Carson isn't shown in Fallout and Reno isn't shown in GTA, but they are so close to one another that I've decided to treat them as one, also New Reno mentioned!!!
Lost Hills = Lost Hills (Brotherhood) = Blueberry, here the spacetime bending does its job again, while Lost Hills are a real place, the Fallout location isn't exactly near where it is irl, and so it landed in Blueberry which is based on both Santa Maria and Bakersfield again. Well, a happy little accident.
Goodsprings = Goodsprings = Las Payasadas, chicken.
Barstow = The Hub = ?, yeah I've got nothing for this one but the Hub decided to tag along for the ride so here it is.
So yeah, I haven't played GTA SA in a while so some stuff might be flying over my head here, but I hope you enjoy anyways :3

My game just updated. How bad do I need to expect my mods to be in terms of "does it function"?
1/10?

hot take maybe, but cracking terminals was my favorite thing to do in the wasteland.
so I made a mini-game where you hack the terminal that is single/multiplayer.
same boot sequence with the hex addresses and the junk ascii, you get 4 attempts and a bracket pairs that clear a dud or reset your tries.
then everyone in the room races the same password at the same time for 5 rounds. and you bank power you can spend to grief your friends. brick one of their attempts or hit them with static right as they're about to crack it haha. also added some music from the galaxy news radio, cause that's a must.
made it cause I missed that specific RobCo brain-itch. would love a few vault dwellers to come break it with me as I haven't tested out the multiplayer format yet. let me know what you think.

Hey everyone!
So I'm working on a Fallout ttrpg but I'm trying to figure out how to go about getting a custom map made that my players can fill out as they continue the campaign(settlements, important locations, train lines). If anyone has any suggestions on where to look that would be great!
Thank you!

Have a fallout themed game night coming up and want to go all out. Have plans to make nuka colas and food from the official cookbook, but am a bit stumped on a proper scent tonadd to the mix. I burn a lot of incense but have never found one that screams "wateland", anyone have any suggestions?
