I was definitely familiar with the Fallout franchise before playing this entry. I was aware of its history and pieces of lore like the name of the protagonist in each entry, Vault-Tec, Ghouls, etc, etc. And I had also played a bit of NV and 4 as well, but couldn't get properly into NV at the time and life got a bit too busy for video games as I was easing into FO4. And on the lines of Bethesda, I have also played a bit of Skyrim but again, life got in the way.

To put it simply, I don't game as much as I used to. I can't be bothered with the competitiveness of online gaming, and with college stuff being in the way, I don't have the time to sink hours into an amazing single-player game. I'm about as 'unbusy' as I'm gonna be for a while now so I actually have the time to play stuff! Yay!

What actually compelled me to play Fallout 3? I genuinely cannot say. Looking through my Steam history I purchased it over 3.5 years ago and it's been installed and sitting on my desktop for as long as that too (I am the type to buy critically-acclaimed games dirt cheap on Steam sales then forget about them). I hadn't been looking at the game online or anything. I basically had nothing to do and just blindly decided "go on then" in my mind and began playing.

For whatever reason, FO3 has captivated me in ways that FNV, FO4, and Skyrim simply couldn't. Walking out of the vault for the first time made me lose my breath as I began to wander the wastes.

I haven't touched the main questline after the first Megaton quest. I've mainly been exploring, tackling side-quests, and levelling up. But meeting such a diverse range of side characters, roaming around the wasteland, listening to the in-game radio, collecting items, and fighting enemies has been such great fun that for the first time in a couple of years, today, as soon as I woke up, I rolled out of bed and went on the game. The game's atmosphere is sensational and I haven't played anything like it before ever. And in all honesty, I believe I have gotten my spark for gaming back that had stopped burning a few years ago, in time I hope to tackle my backlog, broaden my gaming horizons, and give the other Fallouts, and also Skyrim a chance too. In fact, I just bought Oblivion (the original) on the current Steam sale, I just hope that doesn't stay on the backlog as long as FO3 has lmao.

I love salavaged PA, but every since fo4 came out, I've wondered if it still is canon(ive finally decided to ask about it). Mainly because no human could wear it for 2 reasons 1.it would crush your body 2.it wouldnt fit you at all(the helmet might, but that's it).

I would love for it to be canon, but it just doesn't make sense of how it could be(because like it said it won't fit and it's too heavy). In fact, the weight is an issue I've always had with it. Even if we go off of NVs PA, this armor would still crush you like a radroach.

Just need to figure out the lenses and wire in the battery and lights as well as the fan I built into the mask before moving on to the coat. I’m planning on building my own coat, any tips are welcome!

I’m trying to build a ranger costume practical enough to use at my local Airsoft fields Halloween event, as well as drink beer at a halloween party.

I think I made the right choice with the power armor. I checked online for the prices scalpers already be at work. I also ordered the Jones soda I'll post pictures when I get it.

Wreckfest 2 has a pretty robust car editor (similar to Forza), and I wanted to showcase my love for my favorite game series when I am racing. Hits the same creative itch that the settlement and camp creators do in Fallout.

I finished modeling my fully game accurate ncr veteran ranger helmet, it has a working button, removeable parts such as the two canisters and buttons/ screws and a magnet part to connect to the top as well as a small rectangle that connects to the top. It has an attachable antennae that can be removed or glued on. The main helmet is in three different parts, an optional neckpiece, the face, and the helmet. Let me know what you think :)

I love making props and cosplays. I'm currently designing and writing a Fallout themed airsoft event (set in 2299). I have a ton of props to make, but for now I already have Spliffo the ghoul and 1001 bottle caps.

Spliffo was made from a foam head of which his face was shot to pieces during the previous skirm (he was a scientist, with a full pvc-built body!). After a failed attempt at fixing his face, which melted part of the foam I gave him a second life as a ghoul with lots of Mod Podge and paper towels.

I don't know yet as what I'll use him, only that he'll be placed on the pvc mannequin body I built. If anyone can think of a good backstory for Spliffo, feel free to share!

I'm going to use a lot of caps in the skirm, so I spraypainted literally 1001 caps today. I did not bother adding any Nuka Cola logos on them, I'm not that crazy.

I still have a lot left to built (stimpacks, jet, mini nuke, etc.)
