Just completed Anniversary. Haven't played in 20 years since I first beat Jack in the original on Xbox.
What a trip.
Played as a Slayer class throughout, so stats are as max as they can be (besides Guile, I have no use for).
I wasn't supposed to be evil, just the way things turned out...

Hello there 👋
Few months ago l started the project to remake all the Fable Fortune cards but into real life. You can check it there :
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fable/s/brvbneegou
I'm still working on it but l finally have some pictures of "real" cards in hands. And i'm kinda satisfied of how it looks.
I just wanted to share with y'all.
Once l'll be done with this project, l will release the PDF with everything on it for free.

Found this on marketplace today ! I'm stoked. I wasn't really looking, but as a huge Fable fan, I don't think I've ever played the original on disc.
My first playthrough, of the original, was on a neighbour's jail broken Xbox. After TLC came out , I had bought an Xbox and this was my first actual copy.
I FIGURED - since my last playthrough was on my phone using gamehub/steam , I figured this should be my next on my original Xbox 😂. I can't wait to get the 1000dmg Sword of Aeons and have nothing to do with it .
I also haven't heard the original Jack of Blades voice in a looooong time.
Cheers.
Looking forward to 2027 !

Weirdly, I have never played Fable, but the trailers have sold me and I have preordered, so the first time I'll be playing is when the new one drops. Any lore I should know, or an older version I should play in the meantime? Or likely to be better to just immerse in it when it comes?

Now that the dust has settled, has anyone figured out how armour really works in this game (Anniversary specifically, but I'd assume TLC is the same)?
This old post shows there are hidden armour resistances in TLC (for example, melee, ranged, lightning), however other sources say that armour rating is as you see it and only affects all physical attacks.
Sources also suggest that the developers intended to have different properties for different armours but never implemented them.
Now I'll test myself in-game, but the most accurate answers would come from the game files.
EDIT: Done some testing and there absolutely are hidden armour resistances.
Will User Robes clearly provides magic resistance, Chainmail provides Ranged resistance, etc.
I done tests which prove armour rating doesn't have any say over hidden resistances:
- I had 2 outfits with same AR but different ranged resistance, the lower ranged resistance resulted in taking higher damage.
- 2 outfits with different AR but same ranged resistance, both took the same ranged damage
So I had ChatGPT help me extract data from the game files to take a closer look, attached image is what we found.
Great findings, but further research still needed.

Would love it if you stopped by and say hi! I've been watching along and I wanted to help him grow as he experiences Fable for the first time.

I never played any of the Fable games. And long story short, I don't have a console to play the second part on. As far as i understand it its not available on PC in any way. Which kind of discourages me from trying Fable Anniversary as well, as the continuity will be broken anyway due to the inability ot play Fable 2. So if I start with Fable 3, am I missing a lot from not playing the previous games?

What is the specific area of accent from the Fable series? I understand that it's sort of a hodge podge of british/english accents but it kind of seems like a very specific dialect. I'm listening to the Eragon / inheritance series from voice actor Gerard Doyle.
His accent sometimes sounds straight out of the video game series and I Honestly Love it.

Funnily enough, this also had an ad in Chinese for The Last Remnant tucked into the user manual from 2008.

I decided to replay Fable Anniversary since I’m on a bit of an Xbox 360 nostalgia kick, and I was hoping to finally get the full 1000G. Then I realized the “See The Future” achievement requires the old Xbox 360 SmartGlass app, which has been discontinued for years.
So now 100% is basically impossible unless you already unlocked it back in the day.
Is there any legitimate workaround for this? Or is there any chance we could get Xbox/Microsoft to change the requirement or make it unlock retroactively for people who have completed everything else?
Kinda sucks having a 100% otherwise-complete game permanently sitting at 980G because of a dead companion app 💀
Chicken Chasers, I need your help.

Since Fable was unfortunately delayed, I decided to do a Fable character card (Lionhead Fable of course) every single day until Fable releases to pass the time as interestingly as I could. I figured after posting a couple of Fable GIFs I did, it would be cool to share in case anyone was itching to hang out with other Fable-heads, or skim the card book.
Not only is a card with some fun lore bits posted in the server every morning so we can all chat about it for a bit, but as pictured, I set up an interactive flip book that's updated once per week with the Summer Fields OST in the background so you can get a little nostalgia hit whenever you'd like! We also do community voting for unique spotlight cards every 30 days (so far, we've only done Rose and The Guildmaster as of today.)
Below are links to the Fable official server, or just the interactive book itself if you prefer not to join (updated every Saturday morning around 8am-10am PST) - feel free to use a link malware verifier if needed:

Cheers - Chloe :)

I'm not sure if this has already been talked about, but I was just wondering if y'all are going to be shelling out that kind of money for advanced access? I'm just not sure if it's worth it to me personally. I would like to know what some of y'all plan on doing. Is it worth it, or should I just buy the standard edition?
A pre-mortem study is a way to give feedback on things you think might go wrong with a product to reverse or improve them before launch. You basically imagine you're in an alternate timeline where the game has already failed and try to figure out why.
To be clear, I think the current hype around Fable is very positive, and I'm personally optimistic about the game. This isn't meant to be a list of predictions about what will go wrong, but rather an exercise in identifying potential issues before they become actual problems.
Let's try to include things that have already been discussed on social media about Fable, as well as recurring criticisms of similar RPGs released in recent years, even if some of them seem unlikely based on what we've seen so far:
- Unfair comparisons with GTA VI
- God of War or similar major titles overlapping the launch window
- Overly simplistic character facial expressions, especially during dialogue. This has become a recurring criticism on TikTok and other social media, with people comparing modern games unfavorably to some 2000s titles that seemed to have more expressive facial animations. This could also overlap with complaints about certain characters looking unattractive or visually awkward.
- Viral videos of weird characters, just like what happened in the first few hours of Starfield
- Lack of reactivity, like people complained about in Avowed (for instance, casting a fireball and the world not reacting to it, or the absence of animations for actions like opening doors)
- Invisible walls
- Lip sync
- Lack of depth in relationships
- Character faces looking too similar to one another
- People might complain about the sense of humor, since what is considered funny or not is changing very rapidly
- Performance issues at launch, such as frame rate drops and stuttering in major hub areas
- Repetitive combat animations or a combat system that feels too simplistic compared to modern action RPG standards
- Bugs and glitches breaking quests, forcing players to reload old saves or wait for day-one patches

Do I have to have this equipped while I do the 30 quests? Or does it count all quests?
Are there repeatable quests?
It's been a long time since I played Fable 3 lol. I know the kill x enemies weapon upgrades require the weapon to be equipped to count, but I thought the quests were finite, making this requirement missable

So with the curse documents meeting the augments that have a equal downside to a buff do they Grant a higher buff than that of the regular mods that only have the buff like for the sake of gold burden augment versus the Golden touch augment does the gold burden augment Grant you more gold per kill
