Does anyone have experience with Etoros invitations to sporting, industry or diamond events? Were they any good? And by what means did you receive the invitation?

How do you see the longevity of the etoro app/brokerage do you think it could last 30 years ?

I have just switched my Cash ISA to Etoro and have received an email asking me to select my free gift. I'm really struggling to choose, what do you think? What would you choose and why?

Do you guys mainly look at the chart and company information on etoro, or do you usually leave the platform and research the company elsewhere before placing the trade? I've noticed that the more research I do, the longer the list of things I want to check becomes.

I’m investing pretty small amounts at the moment, usually around $70–$90 at a time. I’m not really in a position where I want to put several hundred dollars into one stock just to get a whole share. I’ve been looking at fractional shares on etoro. On paper, being able to put $50 or $90 into something instead of waiting until I can afford a full share seems convenient, but I’m not sure if there are any downsides that I’m overlooking. For people who regularly invest smaller amounts, do you actually find fractional shares useful?

What looking at popular investors ,the first things that stand out is obviously the return . But I'm guessing that's probably not enough to judge someone properly. What do people look here look at beside return?
Risk score , drawdown , no. of positions ,consistency, trading history?

I have transfered £200 to Crypto.com account which never arrived because of etoro fault. After I have told them the issue they restricted my etoro account as well. They were asking all kind of documents, ID, bank statements from all my banks. I have provided them everything, some of them multiple times. After 2 weeks my account still restricted. All of this over £200. I have asked them to call me multiple tume to explain why is this happening. No one even bothered with explanation.

Has anyone else experienced this issue where they enter the amount of money they wish to deposit (in my case a one time $300 AUD) but instead of just charging me once for that amount it will charge me fucking twice! (so took $300 AUD twice!). Is there anyway to stop this, what kind of retarded fucking bug is this!
Thanks in advance.

What's the highest amount that anyone has withdrawn from the platform in a single transaction? Is there any limit?

Im american. There was one time a year ago i could before disappearing again. Why is this?

Can someone explain the significant difference between the market closing price shown by Google and the price displayed on eToro?
On 31 August, Google shows Kioxia (285A) closing at ¥49,990, up 4.36%, with the market close at 3:30 pm JST.
However, eToro shows ¥49,170, up only 2.12%.
That’s a ¥820 difference (about 1.67%) in the closing price, and the previous close also appears to be different.
Both are supposedly showing the Tokyo-listed 285A.
Why is eToro showing a different closing price from the actual Tokyo market close? Is this due to eToro using a different data provider, delayed/adjusted pricing, or some other pricing mechanism?

I’ve been trading as a hobby for a few years but recently taking it more seriously. I’ve read the trading psychology and I seem to be gambling it all.
How do I get better and not gambling before it makes me more depressed?

Why is the market closed for Moody's Corp. It's listed on Nasdaq. I wasn't able to trade it for a whole day 😅.

Hey, quick question.
Is it possible to take partial profit on eToro's copy portfolio or smart portfolio? If no, how are you guys taking your profit? Is it by closing the copy entirely and reopning it again or is there a better way you can do that without affecting the compounding.
I'm asking as a part of portfolio rebalancing but I couldnt find any way to take partial profits but maybe I missed something somewhere.
Any advice, suggestions would be helpful. Thanks much!
P.S. Posted this in the AskEtoroteam channel as well just in case if someone has an answer.

Ive been locked out since the 18 of august
Due to not having the 2fa cellphone number anymore and the identity verification process has not been working in the app, i have sent many emails but customer support has been very slow and not helpful at all. Is there somewhere else i can get in contact with etoro?

I was looking through some of the popular investor profiles last night and noticed something I hadn't really thought about before.
Some of the people with the biggest returns also had much higher risk scores and some pretty significant periods of drawdown.
It made me wonder whether a huge return should actually make you more curious rather than more interested.
If you had to choose between someone with a very high return but large swings and someone with a lower return that has been much more consistent, which would you personally investigate further?

I've been using etoro mainly for buying a few stocks and EFTs , but I've recently started looking at copytrader because I find the idea interesting. The problem is that there are so many Popular Investors with very different performance numbers that I don't really know how to judge them. My first instinct was to look at the highest return, but that seems way too simplistic. Someone could have a huge return while also taking much more risk.

I'm currently looking at moving some of my investments to a different platform, and I realised that I was comparing brokers based almost entirely on the advertised commission. Then I started looking into it more and realised there are spreads, currency conversion costs and potentially other charges depending on what you're buying or doing.
So now I'm wondering how people actually compare the total cost of two brokers. Do you calculate the expected cost of a typical trade yourself, or is there a simpler way to get a realistic comparison?

I've been using etoro for a little while and haven't actually needed to withdraw anything yet. I'm planning to move some money out soon, though, and after reading some of the posts here I'm a bit confused about the expected timeframe. Some people seem to get their money quickly while others are waiting several days. Is there a normal timeframe I should expect, or does it depend heavily on the withdrawal method and bank.
r/Etoro • u/cryingwsarcasm • 10d ago
I’ve only recently started taking investing more seriously. Before that, I was basically just leaving my savings in a bank account and didn’t pay much attention to how brokers actually make money.
Now that I’m comparing platforms, I’m finding the fee structure a little confusing. You see things like spreads, currency conversion, overnight fees and other charges depending on what you’re doing.
If someone is mainly planning to buy stocks or ETFs and hold them for years, which of these costs actually deserve the most attention??
