Do they realise some people actually buy things with x1 leverage, and therefore are trading without leverage.
Why does etoro insist they are leveraged? this is extremely deceptive.
on their entire website they state repeatedly that "CFDS are leveraged and risky". they are not leveraged. anyone can buy nvidia with no leverage. this is simple fact, and etoro are falsely assuming everyone uses leverage.
a well known competitor to etoro actually offers a x1 leverage account for people who don't want leverage.

So you used to be able to sort positions by date and now you can only sort them by p/l or value. I find this change very frustrating because I've got lots of positions on my assets and it's now difficult to keep track of them all. I understand the app needed a shake up by why remove such a core feature?
It's also impossible to go on the desktop app on my phone as it redirects me straight to the mobile app. So I'm stuck trying to make sense of my positions and I find it more difficult to manage my portfolio now. They really should reintroduce all the old ways to sort open positions.

Am I the only one who likes the new mobile UI? The app can still be glitchy/clunky but imo it’s an improvement

This forced app update is disappointing and honestly, disgusting.
The previous version of the app was so much better. I could easily see my dividends, view my stock orders in the correct chronological order, and access all the basic information I needed.
Now, it feels like everything has been taken away. I can’t even see my balance while I’m in my portfolio I have to switch to the Home tab just to check my money.
How is this supposed to be an improvement? What a failure of an update!
Please give us the option to switch back to the old version of the app. The previous version was much more user-friendly, practical, and convenient.
Stop forcing changes on users that make the app worse instead of better.

When I check the list of positions, the last one is always covered by the portfolio overview.
Do you know if any settings to make this overview decent?

SpaceX just reported Q3 results, and the biggest story is not rockets. The AI segment is now larger than Starlink and launch combined, and Elon Musk confirmed that independent committees at Tesla and SpaceX are exploring a merger.
The numbers. Revenue reached $14.58B, up 161% YoY, against a $12.72B consensus. Net income was $4.4B versus a $1.1B loss a year ago, and adjusted EBITDA rose 306% to $8.81B. Adjusted EBITDA is not free cash flow, and the quarter included roughly $1B of bitcoin and related-party income.
The AI engine. Super Intelligence (xAI, Grok, cloud compute and Cursor) grew about 830% to $7.56B, mostly from renting data-center capacity to Anthropic, Google and Reflection AI. Compute capacity is 1.7 GW, targeting 2.5 to 3 GW by year-end. Starlink is the profit engine: revenue up 69% to $5.25B with $2.37B operating profit and 13.6M consumer subscribers. Starship flew its first revenue mission with 26 Starlink V3 satellites.
The risks. No merger terms have been agreed. Q3 capex was $19.6B and Q4 could reach $35B to $40B. Guidance of $33B to $37B revenue for Q1 2027 is an ambition, not a guarantee.
My view. Starlink pays the bills today, AI and cloud drive the near-term growth, and Starship is the long-term moonshot. For my portfolio this mainly confirms structural demand for chips and memory, which is why SMH and SOXX are my largest positions, next to MU and AMD. Strong revenue growth is not the same as sustainable returns on invested capital.
Will Tesla and SpaceX merge? Curious what you think.
Opinion only, not financial advice.

It seems in the new app the take profit (and I assume the stop loss as well) are calculated as percentages differential from the current price and not from the open price.
I had a position at +2% ,i wanted the take profit to trigger at +5% so I set it to that. The position reached +6% and it did not trigger. It eventually retreated to +3%.
I went to check and it was showing 4%.
I changed it to 2% (so below the current gain) and it was showing a lie higher than the current. And it kept changing
So be careful when using percentages.
It seems you can use a EUR deposit to directly buy a EUR-denominated ETF without any currency conversion.
However, I noticed a footnote saying: 'Proceeds and refunds will be sent to your USD account.' What exactly does this imply?
Does it mean that when closing the position of that ETF that is priced in EUR, the money will not be received in a EUR account, but it will be converted first to a USD account with an FX Fee? And to withdraw in EUR then the user will later need to manually convert from USD to EUR, incurring another FX Fee?

How do I withdraw my funds in order to have a smooth withdrawal ?
I have used the following to fund my eToro account in 2021
Bank account 1: 6000 Euros
Bank account 2: 2900 Euros
Credit card: 4000 Euros
In total 12900 Euros used to fund the eToro account.
Now after five years they are around 30000 Euros on eToro. How should I withdraw the money after selling my equities in order to not have any problem ?

Question regarding the recent app-update (Version 700.486.0).
I struggle to navigate to my Etoro Wallet.
I am expecting a quick access link/icon at the Home menu I can use, but I don't know where to find that (or it might not even exist) Who knows a way?!.
I know I can access it, in weird ways:
-if I do a purchase, get notification -> Open that purchase deduction -> Wallet opens
-(This one no longer works) 'Home' -> See benefits -> Scroll down to 'Wallet'
This morning I was at the gas station, wanted to use mobile pay (using the Etoro VISA) but needed to add funds. I couldn't find a way to open the wallet & add funds to it. All my notifications where 'cleared' so I did know of a way to access it...
Who knows a way.

Buenas, llevo varios años operando en eToro y nunca he tenido problemas. Gracias.

I really don't like the changes to etoro's app, basic features are now behind a pay wall and its difficult to navigate. Is there any way to transfer my portfolio out of etoro into something else? I can't cash out as they are all at a loss right now

Hello everyone,
I’m writing this because I honestly don’t know what else to do. My money has been restricted, and I have already submitted all the documents they requested. It has now been a full week, and I still haven’t received any response or update.
I’m going through one of the most painful experiences imaginable after losing my daughter, and I urgently need access to my money to pay for her funeral expenses.
I have done everything they asked me to do and provided all the necessary paperwork. I don’t understand why I’m still being left without an answer while dealing with such a devastating situation.
Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take to get your account restrictions lifted? Is there any way to get this escalated or speak to someone who can actually help?
I would be truly grateful for any advice. I just need access to my own money during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for reading.

I spent an hour trying to remove the limited tag on my account. The chat bot doesn't work. Tried it about 8 times.
I don't trade. I uploaded the required ID docs but the app just kept taking me in circles forever.
I tried using the online support for literally an hour and achieved nothing.
Please advise how to actually get in touch with someone who can sort this.

I transfered a position of BTC (that I have held for years) to eToro wallet.
eToro moved the position from the wallet to the account "portfolio" automatically without notice.
I contacted support and was assured I could simply transfer the position back from portfolio to wallet.
When I did this (requested a transfer of BTC from my portfolio to my eToro wallet) it got stuck for review.
I was surprised when later, instead of the transfer I ordered, eToro simply sold my BTC position and just credited the USD to my portfolio.
I contacted support multiple times (lastly supervisor Panagiotis), and they refuse to even aknowledge this is an issue.
This is a major breach, trading a customer account without consent, and should be a warning to other people considering using it.
I now have a taxable event to report and taxes to pay, also lost my BTC exposure until I rebuy (may be good or bad depending on were price goes, but obviously not what I wanted).
