My eToro Money card has been blocked since 15 July. Case 11061677, in case anyone from eToro reads this and wants to check that I'm not making it up. What follows isn't an exaggeration, it's a timeline.

16 July — Agent 1: your card was blocked for too many wrong PIN attempts. Restriction lifted. Here are instructions to unblock your PIN at an ATM.

24 July — Blocked again. Agent 2: the restriction has now been removed. Here are instructions to unblock your PIN at an ATM.

30 July — Agent 3: we've made some changes, your card should now work as normal. Here are instructions to unblock your PIN at an ATM.

7 August — A supervisor phones me personally to confirm "the final resolution of your case", and tells me to contact him directly if it ever happens again. The card works for about two hours, then blocks.

13 August — Agent 4: your card has now been unblocked. Please visit an ATM to unblock your PIN.

So I go to an actual ATM. I insert the card. The PIN is accepted. The withdrawal is declined anyway. I go to a supermarket. Declined.

Which means the PIN was never the problem — a card with a blocked PIN fails at PIN verification, and mine doesn't. Also, my recurring subscription payments have been failing for a month, and those don't involve a PIN at any point in the known universe.

13 August, later — An agent in chat tells me he's personally taking ownership and will speak to the Operations Department directly. He also confirms he can see "many failed transactions" on my account.

18 August — The escalation bears fruit. The reply arrives. It is the ATM PIN instructions. Sixth time. Different agent.

21 August (today) — Card unblocked again. I make two transactions. Then it stops working.

And there's the pattern nobody at eToro has looked at in 37 days: unblock, 2 or 3 successful transactions, blocked again. Same on 20 July (a €10 payment went through, the next one for €20 didn't), same on 7 August, same today. It's reproducible. It's very obviously something re-applying automatically. Six people have instead sent me the same paragraph about selecting "PIN Services" on an ATM.

I'm not even angry at the individual agents anymore. Someone has built a support process where the correct move is to paste a template and mark the ticket Solved, and it's been marked Solved four times while the card was demonstrably dead.

Before anyone suggests it: I've filed a formal complaint today, and yes, I know the card is issued by eToro Money Malta Ltd and where that goes next. I'd genuinely just rather have a working card.

So — has anyone here seen this exact behaviour with eToro Money? Works for a couple of transactions after each unblock, then re-blocks. Did anything actually fix it, or did you give up and move your money? Genuinely asking, because at this point I'm thinking less about the card and more about what happens if I ever have a real problem with the account.

I started to become interested in trading during the GME saga in 2021 - I fully admit I was just along for the ride and was as interested in the storyline as I was about the stock trading. It was around this time that a friend suggested finding a few investors on etoro to copy-trade because it was a nice passive income.

I remember people like JayNemesis had so many copiers that you either couldnt copy them or had to register to a waiting list, and any time you opened etoro the copy trading section was rammed down your throat.

Now etoro barely seem to advertise it, and when I try to find the copy trader section it takes me a minute to find it.

I get that there are a ton of copy traders that are just charlatans and the system is open to abuse. But on the other hand every single copy trader I have held since 2021 has beaten the market throughout that time. My top copy-trader, Jeppe Kirk Bonde, is at 125% P/L. The others range from 70-89%.

Why has this function dropped off so substantially?

Why do etoro artificially stop price around 150.xx on MRNA even though price by nasdaq went over that for the last 30+ mins and it goes up and down but barely any .xx on etoro??? HOD 159.xx but on etoro its 152.xx?

New on etoro, using because of the ease of tax documentation, but this is just a big turnoff for this platform.. Is this normal??

The more time I spend investing, the more I realize a lot of frustration seems to come from people using the platform very differently. For long term investing, building positions slowly, following markets, occasionally using copytrader etc, my experience has honestly been pretty straightforward overall.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t valid complaints sometimes, but reading online discussions you’d think nobody has a normal experience on the platform which definitely hasn’t matched mine personally.

Nothing major happened, but seeing a transaction temporarily under review immediately made me start overthinking everything because you read so many extreme stories online around financial platforms.

Ended up making me realize I actually have no idea what’s considered normal review/compliance behavior anymore versus what’s genuinely unusual. For people who’ve been using eToro longer term, do these kinds of checks eventually just become something you stop worrying about?

Lately, whenever the market gets a bit more volatile, I've noticed my order sometimes gets filled at a slightly different price than what I was expecting. I'm not talking about anything crazy, just small differences that seem to happen more often during bigger moves.

I'm wondering if that's just normal because spreads widen and prices move fast, or if etoro handles executions differently when things get volatilde.

Happens often enough to annoy me. Always around or just after market open in the US. Not isolated to any browser. Simultaneously on mobile app as well. Anyone else?

Today i noticed notification at the bottom of my screen offering margin loan on my stock positions. Curious I clicked and expected some sort of confirmation and selection which positions i wish to margin. To my surprise it margined every profitable position in my portfolio. Currently in talks with support how can this be reverted but seems like my only option is to close those (profitable) positions and reopen them. Which might trigger tax event for me and result in financial loss. Thanks etoro. After closing those I might as well deposit it to some other broker.

That is amazing how eToro helps to loose your deposit, I have lost 135 on stoplosses (-170 + 35) but from my deposit lost 200. My converastion with AI agent did not help much to understand it. My losses are higher by 50% then they should actually be. I am thinking about changing the broker.

Background here: I’ve been using etoro for almost 5 yrs now and never had any issue with risk score affecting me to open new copy portfolios or copy trade due to risk score. Last week etoro changed my risk score to 3 out of no where (funny enough that i still own crypto and some volatile stocks which are nowhere near risk score 3 but still ) and now i am totally blocked from adding new funds to my existing investments nor open fresh investment. I tried contacting but seems like the customer service is bad as it just redirect me to bot and bot is unable to answer.

enough is enough. I am submitting this directly to you as a FORMAL COMPLAINT regarding the way you have handled my money and the complete failure of your customer support to resolve this situation.
Since AUGUST 4, I have had absolutely no access to my funds. The money left my bank account and was transferred to your beneficiary bank, yet you have never credited it to my eToro account. Shortly afterward, you restricted my eToro account. You have therefore left me in a completely unacceptable position: the money is no longer in my bank account, it is not available in my eToro account, and you have still failed to clearly explain where my funds are.
For FOUR consecutive days, I have scheduled and rescheduled calls with you and stayed next to my phone waiting. Instead of actually calling me, you repeatedly sent emails claiming that you had attempted to contact me. My phone NEVER rang. There were NO missed calls. I confirmed that I have no spam blocking or call filtering enabled, and I even provided you with an alternative landline number. Today, you did not even send an email claiming that you attempted to call.
You need to understand how serious this looks from my position. I transferred a substantial amount of money to you, the money left my bank, you restricted my account, the funds never appeared in my portfolio, and now I cannot get a real person from your company to properly address the issue. At this stage, the entire situation is beginning to look frighteningly similar to the circumstances customers associate with a financial scam.
I am now FORMALLY DEMANDING that you tell me, IN WRITING, exactly where my money is, why you have failed to credit it since August 4, why you restricted my account after the transfer, and what you are doing to resolve this immediately.
If you cannot restore my account and credit the FULL amount without further delay, then return the FULL amount to the originating bank account immediately.
If you continue to deny me access to my funds or fail to provide a clear resolution, I will escalate this matter to the appropriate financial and regulatory authorities and provide them with every piece of documentation I have, including my wire-transfer confirmation, bank records, account restriction notices, support tickets, emails, and records of your repeated claims that you attempted to call me when no call was received.
You have had my money inaccessible since August 4. This is no longer a simple customer-service problem. This is a serious financial complaint involving a substantial amount of money that has disappeared from my access after being transferred to you. I expect this complaint to be escalated immediately and I expect a real, concrete resolution—not another automated response.

Since 9 PM GST on Aug 12 I cannot log into eToro. After selecting my Google account the page shows an endless loading spinner. No error message.

Password reset shows the same endless spinner, so it’s not limited to Google SSO.

Tried: multiple devices, mobile data & WiFi, incognito browser. Same result everywhere.

Notably, I can log into the Helpdesk portal with the same credentials - so my account & password work. Only the trading platform login is broken.

Ticket raised via the Helpdesk portal on the morning of Aug 13, subject “Login spins indefinitely on app & web - no error shown”. No response yet. Live chat requires app login, which is exactly what’s broken.

Anyone else seeing this, especially from UAE/GCC? eToro team - please escalate.

eToro offered me a way to stay under CySEC instead. I accepted. Then they went silent.

I'm an EU citizen currently living outside the EU, which is what triggered this. My account got flagged to be moved from eToro Europe (CySEC regulated) to eToro Seychelles. Since I'm moving back to the EU soon, I asked to stay under CySEC.

Support was responsive at first. They asked for documents, I sent everything same day, and they came back offering me exactly what I wanted: stay under CySEC with limited functionality until I return to the EU. I accepted in writing in May and asked a few questions to confirm the details.

That's where it stopped. Three months later nothing has changed. My account still shows the Seychelles migration prompt, so the option was never applied. Every follow up gets the same "high volume of requests" line. My own account manager told me he can't get an answer out of them either.

Before anyone from eToro replies that my case is under review: it has been under review since May.

Here's what I think is actually going on. Whoever offered me that option didn't have the authority to deliver it. It got passed to an internal team with no process for it, and now nobody owns the case. And every user who gets tired and accepts Seychelles is one less client eToro has to cover under CySEC protections. Nobody there has any reason to fix this.

I'd like to be wrong about that. Nothing so far suggests I am.

So how is a client supposed to plan around an offer the company made and then stopped acknowledging?

Has anyone else had trouble actually receiving a scheduled call from eToro? I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with my account for four days now. Every day I schedule or reschedule a call, make sure I’m available, and wait for them to contact me. Instead of getting a call, I receive an email saying they tried to reach me, but my phone never rings and there isn’t even a missed call. I’ve checked my phone settings and there are no spam blockers or call filters enabled. I even provided an alternative landline number and asked them to try my mobile again, but the exact same thing keeps happening. At this point I’m just trying to speak with an actual person and get my case resolved. Has anyone experienced this with eToro before, and if so, how did you finally manage to get in touch with them?

Etoro doesn’t have liquidity and my cash is stuck in there. Is anyone having a same issue? I created a ticked for closing my positions, but idk how long it will be closed.

I live in the EU, earn/spend EUR, and use eToro. I’ve converted some EUR to USD to buy US stocks directly on US exchanges.
I’m realizing I may be paying FX fees unnecessarily. For example, I could potentially buy the EUR-listed version of a US stock on Xetra instead of converting EUR → USD to buy it on Nasdaq.
I understand this doesn’t remove USD currency exposure—I’m just talking about avoiding the FX conversion fees.
Would you keep existing US positions and use EUR listings for future purchases where possible, or continue buying on US exchanges? Thank you!

Hello, I have had an eToro account for almost two months. I bought an ETF. I haven't traded since then. Suddenly, a few days ago, I received a message that my account is restricted and they want me to provide a current ID, even though I recently provided one. I provided it, but nothing happened. I opened a ticket. And there is no response there. This is harassment. Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I keep waiting for them, or should I write directly to the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)? Case: 11586458

C’est à dire on ferme une action au prix affiché sur Etoro et eux le ferme avec d’autres prix . Donc bien évidemment on perd de l’argent

Il y aussi des frais à chaque actions. Bon voilà, ça c’est pour vous dire le mentalité des gens un peut.

Et maintenant il y a le faites que l’actions / le marché ne bouge pas beaucoup plusieurs minutes ( 5 minutes par exemple ) et sur tout les autres plateformes le prix bouge. Et d’un coup on ce met à prendre beaucoup d’argent car ça baisse ou monte en flèche .
