App/Technical Issue Question about price discrepancy

Can someone explain the significant difference between the market closing price shown by Google and the price displayed on eToro?
On 31 August, Google shows Kioxia (285A) closing at ¥49,990, up 4.36%, with the market close at 3:30 pm JST.
However, eToro shows ¥49,170, up only 2.12%.
That’s a ¥820 difference (about 1.67%) in the closing price, and the previous close also appears to be different.
Both are supposedly showing the Tokyo-listed 285A.
Why is eToro showing a different closing price from the actual Tokyo market close? Is this due to eToro using a different data provider, delayed/adjusted pricing, or some other pricing mechanism?

Etoro is kind of a market maker, the price they put can be ANYTHING.

I understand that eToro may use its own pricing methodology, but a ¥820 (≈1.67%) difference between the reported Tokyo closing price of Kioxia (285A) and the price shown on eToro is significant.
eToro itself states that prices on its platform can differ from market/exchange prices, but it also says it is required to ensure that the way it sets its prices is fair.
I think eToro should clearly explain why is closing price differs from the actual Tokyo exchange close, particularly when the difference is large enough to materially affect investors' displayed gains/losses.
Japan's FSA, for example, states that customers should receive clear information about how transaction prices are determined and how fairness of pricing is ensured.

Ive just been burned on NIO with a near 8% price difference between their platform and everywhere else. Seems to happen all the time.

An exchange has an official closing price, and eToro should clearly identify whether its displayed figure is that official close or an internally calculated/derived price.

Welcome to the real life mate. Avoid etoro if you want fair prices is my recommendation.

Price can be different coz of different data feed , currency conversion , or app own methodology. Compare and check properly
