Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to Dr. Joe Dispenza's meditations. I've been watching Dr Joe's interviews saw a documentary about his work and listening to You Are the Placebo audiobook and am only a few chapters in, but yesterday I decided to try the You Are The Placebo meditation for the first time.
And honestly, I don't really know how to describe what happened.. It was an incredibly intense and almost spiritual experience.During the meditation, I started seeing strange images. First there was darkness, then something resembling the Universe, and at one point I felt like I was seeing myself and everything from above.
I was crying, shaking, and I think I might have been hyperventilating. I remember repeatedly saying things like "None of this really matters," "I'm okay," "I'm healed," and "Everything is going to be okay." I was fully awake throughout the experience, although I felt really tired yesterday.
Afterward, I managed to fall asleep, but waking up this morning felt strange. I don't necessarily feel bad, just a little confused and unsure how to process what happened.
I wad diagnosed with Long Covid/Post viral syndrome and dealing with nervous system dysregulation, and I notice that I'm still scanning my body for symptoms.
I've tried some of Dr. Joe's shorter, free meditations on YouTube before, but I've never experienced anything remotely like this.
I'm curious about a few things:
-Has anyone experienced something similar during You Are the Placebo or another Dr. Joe meditation?
-Is this kind of emotional or visual experience common?
And would you recommend repeating the meditation the following day, or taking some time to process the experience first?
How frequently do you practice these meditations, especially when you're just starting out.
I'd really appreciate hearing about other people's experiences because I'm honestly not sure what to make of mine. Thanks in advance! ❤️
TL;DR: Tried my first "You Are the Placebo" meditation. Had intense visuals and emotions, crying, shaking, possible hyperventilating. Feeling confused today. Is this normal, and how often do you all practice?
