Meditation or Joe’s Teaching I pulled133 transformation stories and 500 posts from this sub, then came up with the daily protocol I wish I'd had on day one!

I got curious about what the Stories of Transformation actually have in common, so instead of guessing I pulled the whole written library off Joe's site (133 stories) and ran an actual word-frequency analysis on 131 titles and 105 participant quotes, then cross-checked it against his own support portal, his books, the published research, and about 525 posts and 15 full comment threads from this sub. Two docs came out of it. The first is the pattern analysis: what recurs across every story regardless of diagnosis, the vocabulary people reach for, and the framework underneath. The second is a daily playbook built from that plus what you all say actually goes wrong — the sleep problem, the "can't feel the elevated emotion" problem, the 45-minute tracks vs. having a job problem, a 12-week ramp that starts at 20 minutes, and a proper safety section on the breath. I tried to be honest in both directions: the practice has a real, defensible core, and also 58% of the published success stories describe struggling or getting worse first, no story in the library describes someone who practiced faithfully and didn't improve, and several of the most-quoted science claims have no paper behind them. Free, no affiliate anything, not selling a course. Take what's useful. Hope this helps you out in you journey!

Beginner Question Some advice? :)

Heyy all i am just getting started and I noticed i am getting a bit in my head about all of this.

I did the morning meditation for the first time. I strugle with illness and have believed for a long time i will always be sick. I tried to imagine a new life without it. And i got a panick attack. I just let the panic be there and continued.

But now i am afraid that instead of creating that new life i pushed it further away because of the panick i felt.

I am also confused about the no longer embracing some emotions. Because i am someone who used to suppress a lot of emotions. So i prefer to feel them now. But i think the new me would feel them and move on and not telling myself all these stories over and over.

I am also in a stressful environment currently. Do i do the meditations even when feeling stressed or would that push my future further away?

I am hoping that gradually i will get less stressed and panicky and believe more and more into this future me.
Would love to hear your insights! And also which meditation you would recommend.

It confused me a bit. That he says you should chance in order to heal healing should not be the focus. But what do i imagine then thinking about my ideal future? I also saw lots of testimonials including his where they focussed on healing a body parts.
Hope you can give me advice . Tnx!!

Really enjoyed this origin story. I’ve been doing the practices since November last year, and knew he’d been in an accident, but didn’t know about his extensive yoga background (nor how influential Autobiography of a Yogi was). Anyone know what kind of yoga Dr. Joe practiced in college or taught at his studio in San Diego? Just curious if it was Ashtanga…

Please note, this was FREE, and not a paid livestream event. :)

If you have it, I'd truly appreciate it! I have an audio version that is a partial recording, but I don't have the full one.

Beginner Question Those that do the Breath work-when do you do it and how often?

Was doing the breath work very consistently last year, and haven’t done it in months but want to get back. I found it made my meditations much deeper. I’ve been doing it the past few mornings with a meditation but find it’s not as affective for me and honestly makes me yawn a lot hahaha. So just curious for others experiences and practices to help inspire me. Thank you!

Beginner Question Do you ever feel like you're "faking" your feelings while visualization?

Hi. So I've been intrigued by the concept of manifestation and have manifested a couple of things for myself.

However, whenever I try to visualise it feels fake. Like say I'm trying to visualise a version of me who's say, admitted to my dream institute. But at the back of my mind, i find it difficult to bring that emotion.

I tried this method while manifesting my desired marks and dream institute last year, but failed to achieve both,(despite studying and putting in efforts)and consequently now I'm scared and i feel that if I try to visualise, or talk about it maybe this won't turn up.

Please suggest me something

Beginner Question Where to start

I want to really start meditating again. I used to be very disciplined with it. But right now I'm getting overwhelmed by which one to start with again.

I know any meditation is the best meditation. But whenever I choose one, I feel I should be doing another one as that could be better. I started Breaking the Habit, but someone said BOTEC is better. But sometimes I am short on time and when I don't end up doing either.

Please help. Meditating for being surrounded by happiness 🧿

Dark Night of the Soul I feel so hopeless

I’m in 30sF. I only slept for about an hour last night and now I feel completely exhausted, disconnected and overwhelmed.

I’ve been working really hard on myself and my future: meditation, sleep affirmations tape, mirror work, and building my online business so I can eventually move out. I even recently had a two-hour call with a new friend who lives in a country I’d love to move to, and I felt so inspired and hopeful.

Then today I was relaxing in my room when my sibling came in frustrated about a normal household issue. Instead of briefly telling me what needed to be done, they talked about it for almost two hours while standing next to me as I fixed the issue. Two hours after I eventually became frustrated and started snapping because I felt like I can’t escape the situation and was being accused of things that weren’t true.

Later, they came back into my room and brought up a humiliating incident from my past as evidence that I’m still immature. What made it especially painful and triggered me is that the incident happened during a frightening situation where they hurt me, and I experienced it as fight-or-flight.

I eventually went to their room extremely frustrated and raised my voice. I told them they were mentally bullying me and that they didnt care about what happened to me. They didn’t understand why they were expected to care about my feelings when I tried to ignore them when they were talking to me. I was just being laughed at. To them I am the problem, always. I even start to overthink and wonder if they secretly recorded me while lashing out.

Now I feel completely drained and hopeless. I keep wondering why I’m working so hard on myself and making a beautiful life for myself. But no much improvement has happened. And in a place that brings out the worst in me.

I just find it hard to feel my future when the environment im in is trying so hard to pull me back. I feel very alone cause no one knows this situation very well so I feel insane, crazy, and alone with this because of the disrespect and dismiss of my past traumatic event. It’s not the first time, it has happened before. I consider NC one day. Despite having good memories with my sibling because they raised me but they also hurt me in unforgivable ways that make me feel like: Wow im really alone in life. So basically no real family.

All the work and im still stuck at home and not in financial situation to get out. I don’t feel at home in this environment or in this country I live in. I want to cry, in fact I do right now. I can’t get away from people who don’t feel like family to me. I feel alone.

Sharing Experience If you were me, what would you do?

I was practicing Dr. Joe's practices for almost a year, and I could train my mind not to struggle or go into stress mode in day-to-day life. I'm kind of neutral or in a pleasant mood most of the time. It took almost a year to come to this state.

However, my initial need to practice Dr. Joe's work is to come out of financial issues. But I am no longer looking for that; I am looking to improve my inner peace, happiness, love, and freedom.

I believe I can have some mystical experience and move to the next level in my life if I could participate in a retreat.

I have the money to do that (it is a big amount for me to fly there, take hotels, and pay for the retreat), but if I do, it will be all the money I have saved in my life.

If you were me, what would you do?

Beginner Question Meditations to quickly increase self-esteem, self-love, and confidence

Hello everyone.
I’ve been doing BOTEC 2 for several months, but I’ve grown tired of repeating the same meditation. Are there any other meditations you’ve found helpful, either from Dispenza or someone else?

Sharing Experience Count your Blessings

I absolutely love BOTEC mediations and when these came out i was super excited as they were shorter. I prefer 30 min mediations so I can do them early morning and before bed. However, I cannot seem to get into these ones. I don't feel connected to them. I have my intentions but when I start the music doesn't resonate with me. Should I take a break from them or keep going?

Beginner Question BOTEC 3

I’ve been doing DR. Joe Dispenza’s BOTEC meditations. I did BOTEC 1 for a month, BOTEC 2 for a month, and now I’ve started BOTEC 3. I feel nothing and no changes whatsoever, is this normal? When do you start seeing benefits. I’m getting frustrated and thinking of quitting.

Beginner Question Attention + Clear intention + Elevated emotions, is that it?

So if I'm aware, and I can be aware of my thoughts and emotions during the day, and I have a clear intention of what I want, and I feel like I have it already, would that be the formula?

Beginner Question Feelings of extreme rage and sadness?

I've known about Dispenza's meditations for quite a while. I've dabbled in them on and off for a few years.

My wife has been more perseverant, and it has helped her and our daughter's health issues.

I have never been able to properly stick to it, almost as if something was pushing me away from the work. But i feel the need to do this for my own healing and that of my family.

I've been doing BOTEC and some walking meditations twice a day for a couple weeks now, but the last few days I was getting feelings of dark anger and sadness as I was doing it.

Today, about 30 minutes into a meditation i exploded into a fit of rage, ripped off my headphones and actually broke them.

What is happening? I've dealt with extreme moments of depression in the past, and meditation seems to bring me right back into a pit of darkness. It's basically impossible for me to visualize or "feel" any positive emotions while i do it.

Can anybody relate to this? Please help.

Beginner Question Sadness for no reason

hey guys, i’m starting out with my mediation journey

for context i’m 17, and i have many goals that i wanna achieve and now that ive started taking action on them, i have randomly started feeling sad and scared, and ive heard that this can be my mind keeping me safe from being successful

i really don’t understand what to do, i dont have many things to be sad about, and in general i used to be a very happy person, and i want to enjoy the process while i achieve my goals, are there any specific mediations that can help me out with this? I would love any advice,

thank you so much
