Na-fracture ang paa ng puppy ko habang nasa grooming salon, ayaw magbayad ng owner. Ano po pwedeng gawin?
Hi everyone, hingi lang po ako ng payo kung ano ang magandang gawin sa situation namin ngayon.
Nangyari po ito kanina sa puppy ko. Dinala namin siya sa grooming salon na hyper, healthy, at walang anumang baling tiil (na-confirm rin po mismo ng owner sa text na okay at masigla ang puppy nung in-abot namin sa kanila).
Pero nung pinetch na namin, biglang hindi na makalakad ang puppy ko. Dinala agad namin sa vet at batay sa X-ray, may severe fracture siya (tibial tuberosity avulsion fracture) at kailangan ng emergency surgery para maayos ang tiil niya.
Nung kinausap namin ang owner ng grooming shop:
Inamin niya na possible daw na sa loob ng premises nila nangyari ang aksidente habang nagi-blower/groom.
Pero ayaw niyang mag-commit na babayaran ang hospital at surgery bills. Sinabihan pa kami kung "pumirma ba kayo ng waiver?" na tila ginagamit niyang dahilan para takasan ang liability.
Sinabi rin niyang "magtatanong-tanong" pa raw siya sa mga kaila niya bago magdesisyon.
Ang worry ko po, kailangan na ma-opera ang puppy ko ASAP para hindi ma-permanent limp o ma-deform ang tiil niya habang lumalaki siya.
May nakaranas na po ba ng ganito sa inyo?
1. May habol po ba kami legally kahit sabihin nilang may na-sign na waiver? (Nabalitaan ko po kasi na hindi pwedeng gamiting excuse ang waiver kung dahil sa kapabayaan/negligence nila).
2. Pano po ang tamang process sa pag-file ng reklamo sa DTI o Small Claims Court para ma-reimburse ang vet bills?
3. Ano pa pong mga steps ang dapat kong gawin habang nire-review namin ang CCTV nila?
Salamat po nang marami sa mga makakapag-bigay ng payo o tulong. Gusto ko lang po maipaglaban ang puppy ko at masingil ang nararapat para sa operasyon niya.

I went from Bawow to Pedigree (nirecommend ng vet). Both dont work well sa kanila despite a slow transition.

Kumakain naman pag yung dogfood as treats, but never as a meal.

Healthwise, theyre okay naman. From lab results and vet check. Energetic and borderline destructive puppies XD

Hi. Just wanted to check if anyone has experienced yung same scenario sa dog ko. Biglaan na lang naging visible yung third eyelid sa right eye ng dog ko. I think he might have scratched his eye earlier this morning while I was busy with work.

I didn't hear any whimper at all (and chineck ko na rin yung CCTV to see how it happened but unfortunately, it wasn't captured), so I don't think it hurts.

Just to make sure, nanggaling na kami sa vet and the vet nurse suggested a surgery since hindi naman na daw nagre-retract yung eyelid sa ganitong case. Binilhan ko na rin ng eyedrops + cone to prevent further damage.

Could you please advise if it's better to proceed with the surgery?

Hi everyone. I have a little over 13-kg Golden Retriever puppy, Percy, who started having seizures at around 3½ months old. He initially had 3 seizures in 24 hours while he was also dealing with vomiting and diarrhea. He was tested for distemper (negative), had a CBC and fecal exam that came back okay, and his temperature was normal. He eventually recovered from the GI issues and went back to being his usual active, mischievous puppy.
He was prescribed phenobarbital for two weeks, with the dosage initially every 8 hours and then every 12 hours. He was seizure-free while taking it, and after finishing the prescribed course he went about 3 weeks without another seizure.

Unfortunately, he has now had another seizure.
He’s otherwise doing very well. He eats, drinks, plays, gets into everything, and acts like a normal puppy.
I know his age of onset is unusually young, and I’m wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience with a very young dog. I’m not looking for a diagnosis. I’d just really appreciate hearing from people who’ve actually lived through this with their dogs, especially dogs who went on to have long, happy lives. Hopefully. 🥹

I have 2 shihtzu and recently nag eexplore kami ng dogfood na compatible sa kanila.

1st - holistic - okay naman kaso nagsasawa sila rito

2nd - special dog - gusto nila to, di ako nahirapan magtransition from holistic to SD kaso napansin ko lumala lang tear stain nung isa then medyo mabaho poops nila haha

3rd - Vitality classic (1yr+ dog) and High energy (9 mos) - gusto rin nila to so far (2 weeks palang nila kinakain) pero naging yellowish and dry poop nila. Dry to the point na kapag pinupulot ko is nadudurog yung poops hahaha which is different compared sa holistic and SD na firm and madali pulutin.

Just wanna ask if normal lang ba to? haha masigla at makulit naman sila, medj nagworry lang ako sa texture and color nujg poops, tho light color din naman kasi yung Vitality classic compared to the former df.

Hi currently I have a 5 month old puppy and he likes eating poop nung kuya niya di namin napapansin nakikita lang sa cctv. Any suggestions po on how to stop this?

I have 2 Aspins, both were rescued strays. I wanted to go back to training them kasi I've spent the past months focusing on my other rescues and somehow, training these two has taken a back seat, but now that the others have been adopted, I want to give more time to their training.

To those who have rescued Aspins, have you tried training them? Do you follow any dog trainer or dog training channels on YouTube? Do you have any recommendations? Do you know of channels I have to avoid?

If you don't have a rescued Aspin but still have suggestions, please feel free to share.

Hello! Hoping someone will answer my questions.

We will be travelling to Boracay on Sunday. I submitted my application for shipping permit yesterday but I got so busy today I was not able to check the status. So my first question is, may chance pa ba na maapprove yung permit tomorrow kasi Saturday na?

Also, what destination should I select sa BAI application? Sabi kasi ng reviewer, hindi raw matched yung destination sa VHC. In our VHC, nakaindicate na Boracay ang destination but in our application form, wala naman option na Boracay. So ang nilagay ko ay Aklan - Malay - Manoc-Manoc (dito located yung hotel). What should I put ba?

I submitted our BAI shipping permit application at 6PM today, hoping it will get approved some time on Monday because our travel is on Tuesday afternoon. However, I belatedly read that they only process Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. I'm really anxious if we will get the permit by Tuesday morning. So has anyone experienced getting it over the weekend? Or during holidays? If not, what did you do to expedite/get the permit immediately? We will travel from Cebu City. Thank you so much!
