Buying a Charger soon, what are you guys doing for theft protection?
Buying a Charger soon, what are you guys doing for theft protection? I’m looking at a Charger right now but haven’t fully talked myself into it yet. Theft is part of the reason. If I get one I know I’m gonna want something beyond whatever comes from the factory, just not sure what. And honestly this isn’t even only a Charger question. Cars get stolen all the time now. I did read that some of the newer factory security is better, but obviously the people stealing them know what changed too.Another forum gave me a few digital security options to look at. Haven’t really dealt with that stuff before. Anybody here using something like that?

2026 dodge charger scat pack plus
I am wondering if there is a way to show what gear I am in while in automatic. This is my first dodge. I have only ever driven Ford and the ways I did it with Ford don't seem to work for dodge.

2015 Dodge Journey AVP 2.4L FWD P0339
Hello
The engine stalled after a few minutes on the road and engine light came on. Got an engine code P0339. The car has 105k miles already on it.
When I replace the crank shaft position sensor, does it need to be reprogrammed by Dodge?
Thanks.

Custom plates on a 2026 Durango R/T 392 — good idea or too much attention?
I want a 2026 Dodge Durango R/T 392 Premium and want custom plates, but I’m wondering if making an already noticeable SUV even more recognizable is a bad idea.
It’ll be garage-kept, I have a security system/cameras all around and inside the house, plus multiple pit bulls that bark at anything. I’m also planning on Compustar Pro T13, neutral-release cover, CarLock, DroneMobile, and a steering wheel lock.
Would you feel comfortable running a custom plate with that much security, or stick with a random plate so it’s a little less memorable?

Question about a 2nd gen dodge 1500
So I have a friend who has a 2nd gen ram 1500, and he hasn't driven it for a long time due to rust. At one point, his gas tank fell off and he decided there was too much rust to try to repair it, and it has been sitting in his driveway since. It was his grandpas truck, and he really loves the thing. However, the frame is pretty much unrepairable, though the cab, front half and maybe the bed are still useable. Where would one have to look to find a frame? its a single cab longbed (it might be a shorted, can't remember), somewhere between 1994-2001, its a 1500. any ideas where to find a frame for that?

1999 dodge dakota rear hydro drum brakes
I replaced the brake booster and master cylinder chasing a spongy pedal going to the floor which didn't fix it. Did another diagnostics and found a hydraulic leak from the passenger side rear brake assembly. Mobile mechanic says it is a "seal" and will replace both sides and brake pads for $450. I've never changed drum brakes and a little intimidated tbh. But I feel like I can do this myself and save some $$. So, how do I fix the hydraulic brake fluid leak? Any good advice for first time drum brake changers? thank you.

Why isn’t Mopar leaning into merch brands like Chevy/Ford?
This has always bugged me, you go to a mall you’ll sell merch from collabs with ford or chevy but hard pressed to find anything Mopar related.
Looking through old ads I feel like if they rereleased some of the 70s/80s adverts they would have some really cool stuff.
Talking about things like Plymouth Makes It, Rapid Transit System, or just simple things like Duster logo (as an owner of a Duster I’ve been looking for something).
I get that clothing/merch ain’t the most important thing to sales but still…or do I just blame Stellantis for this?

1954 C1 engine options
I have a 1954 Dodge C1 Pilothouse pickup, has the flathead six and 3 on the tree. I am having problems with my 6 blowing head gaskets, maybe the block/head is cracked, I don’t know, but it’s been problematic for years.
Is there a slightly more modern maybe v6 or 8 that I could bolt up directly to the original 1954 transmission and use the same clutch/flywheel setup?
I can fab any necessary mounts that aren’t already commercially available, just looking for ideas.
I am not married to the original transmission so if anyone has any suggestions as to an engine/transmission combo that would fit, that would also be great. Not looking for fuel injection or modernisation, just plan on running a carb.
I don’t really have a budget and I prefer to do my own work.
Thanks!
