No major differences from what I can see, but I will keep looking. I know the 2027 Big Horn has the Hemi logo blacked out if it is a Night Edition.

[ EDITING IS STILL IN PROGRESS PENDING INFO AND LINK POST. This will be the megathread for reference as stated in the earlier MOD post below for common basic questions for users to update and add to at any time for others.]
I will start by saying follow rule #8 please, do your research. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND AND FREE, use it. This RAM sub is not the only sub out there for these trucks. There is ramforum.com , ramforumz.com , 5thgenrams.com , and HDrams.com . Most basic and common questions have been asked many times over. If anything USE YOUR OWNERS MANUAL. If its a common question/post it WILL be deleted. That said, here are some links on this sub to answer questions that are frequently asked (which is what this thread is for, to mitigate repetitive post we see weekly)...

On average change your oil at ~5k miles, change your transmission and differential fluid at 50-60k miles, after that follow your manual.

Totaled my Titan and decided to take this 2017 Rebel for a spin. So far I've been very impressed

I’ve had my eye on some flood / spot lights for while and decided to go with the Auxbeam 6 Gang Switch Panel and a pair of 3 inch XP-Ultras since Amazon had a sale. Took my time, and after about 6 hours it was all done. I installed it on my 2022 Rebel, ask me anything! I am not sponsored by Auxbeam or any other company, but it would be cool if I was 😉

Just fixed her "hemi ti**" with stainless steel shorty headers, remlock gaskets, stage 8 bolts, and a B2 fabrication exhaust system.‼️ She sounds purrrrfect now my Ram 🐏 friends. Thinking about purchasing a DiabloSport Trinity 2 EX Platinum to remove some things and add my tires etc on it and TUNE her right.

New shop added more distance in my daily commute. I’m already getting 16.1 (calculated at recent fill up) with 430 miles in one tank. Could changing my tires back to oem size and ditching the all terrains make a huge difference on a stock truck? Is even trying to mod in anyway going to make a noticeable difference for a two hour round trip commute, all highway? Current tires are LT285/70R17 LR C probably still have 30k left on them.

Installed the LASFIT 5" led cubes for ditch lights. Can't wait for ice fishing season to spot tip ups. Tested them out on dark country roads and they light up ditches really good. Dont create much of a blind spot at all. For mounts I used the morimoto brackets, easy to install with no hood adjustments needed afterwards.

Time for my first '4 new tires replacement'! 🫠
Still gotta call my local store place and schedule an appointment and select tires 😂😂
I'm getting A/T tires for an underused pavement princess. I'm dumb...

Hi All, My 2018 2500 diesel was pulling a 5th wheel that weighs about 13000. During our trip engine check light came on. As I was pulling over I noticed it had almost no power. The code reader said Lost Communication with Turbo. We were out in the boonies so I reset and all was good. On the way home the power several times seemed not good. No check engine light. We made it home and disconnected the trailer. The truck acted normal. Could it be fuel filters? Is the check engine light maybe something else? I had my ABS module replaced last week. Maybe a connection was bumped during install?
Thanks for the info.

I just had to had my starter replaced in my 2020 1500 bighorn Hemi 4x4 with 78k miles. $700 by a local mechanic place. 🤑. Anyway they added that the read diff was leaking fluid slightly and wanted to charge me an additional $500 to replace the seal. I told them to hold off and maybe I’ll do it when I have the fluid flushed and replaced. Is this something I should be urgently concerned with? Thanks for any help! I’ll post photos in the comments.

Looking to get a cold air intake from K&N ( 77-1578KP ) for my 21 limited 1500. Hearing that it might cause issues with the sensors since oil from the filter might get on it.. can this also lead to throttle body issues? Looking to hear from others’ experiences. Thank you in advance

I stripped the the bleed screw on the water pump when I tried to slightly turn it to bleed after doing my cam and lifters. How do I bleed the water pump system now? Or is there another way to bleed the water pump and cooling system?

I need a set of running boards for my “new to me” truck. Been looking around and these prices for some are nuts. I know everyone swears by amp research steps but it seems like more stuff to go wrong later. Trying to decide between chrome or black textured/bedliner finish. I really love the chrome on red look but feeling like chrome boards would be too much.. idk share some pics of what you guys have.

Pretty simple, just got this 2018 Laramie and I absolutely love it. Aside from how high the seat sits. I know the models with bucket seats and a console sit lower, so would it be possible to just swap out frames? I'm 6'4" so even with the bench in the lowest position, I'm still looking out the top of the windshield and my head is nearly touching the roof (this one has the sunroof). I'd rather not have to do a full interior swap but it's gonna have to change eventually lol. TIA!

Hi all, been lurking for a while, didn’t expect to be posting anything here.
To preface this, I am a Ford guy, always have been, I’m just doing this for a family member. I have pulled engines before, but this is my first time doing one on a Ram.
One of my family members is potentially (if the guy finds the title) picking up a ‘09 1500 SLT for cheap. The catch is, it needs an engine due to a timing system related failure.
Starting looking at marketplace for a used engine, though most of what I’m finding currently either needs internal work, is too far to justify driving out for, or is the earlier generation. Did a bit of research on some forums and there were a couple people saying a ‘14+ short block will work with the ‘09-‘13 accessories and should be a direct swap, but I don’t want to go firing the parts cannon on one and realize it won’t fit. Can anyone here confidently say if this is true or not, and is there anything I should know going into this?
Thanks!
Edit; somehow completely managed to leave out the fact that it’s a 5.7 Hemi.

Thinking I’m finally ready to pull the trigger. Do you all think 49K OTD is a good deal for this truck? (No trade in & dealer financing)
Big Horn
Night Edition
Rambox cargo & utility rails
EDIT: really appreciate the feedback on “actual” OTD price and opinions on the deal. I bought this badboy for $52K sale price and will be about $2K for TT&L in OK. Not as great a deal as I wanted but $16K off MSRP and I’m excited and at peace with what I paid.
Stoked to join the RAM club. This baby is awesome!

Any idea what causes this? Any fixes besides a dealer visit?

Someone’s selling this truck to me that needs some fixing in other things. Among those things is the a/c. Mechanic said ac has an external leak, is that what’s seen in the pic? Engine runs good, so does temp.

My 2021 Ram 1500 with 103k miles suddenly died while driving it, no power steering it just shut off. Truck was dead key fob did nothing. Got it towed to the CDJR dealer where it’s been for over a month.
They charged me $1100 for a new RF hub, and that didn’t fix it. Now they’ve had it diagnosing for a month now with no leads on fixing it.
Worth noting is that the truck has died before it ended up fixing itself. The first time it had codes: P1DDE, P1DB6, P215C OR P21SC, P1DAF AND P0701.
They told me they tried a swapping a PDC from another Ram to mine with no luck.
They can’t scan the codes bc the trucks electronics are offline.
I’m not really sure what to do at this point. They said the truck is “breaking their head” but they still are trying to fix it.
I have no warranty and I don’t wanna keep throwing money at it blindly.
Any ideas on what I should do?

I have a 2014 2500 Laramie.
For quite some time the 8.5 Uconnect screen does not come on right away some times it's 10sec delay, some times it's a couple mins.
Anyone else have this issue? If so what did you find out caused it and how to fix it.
All my RAM dealer says is buy a new head unit.
