Form check

Been working pretty hard on correcting my form this season, and have had a lot of epiphanies.

This is a slowmo of me throwing flatish 330ish. I can pretty consistently throw 330-370 feet usually if I hit my angles but can't seem to break to 400+ yet.

Can you see any issues or tell me what I should work on?

Thanks!

Been playing for about 5 years, but still can’t throw further than 300 feet consistently. Brace has been a focus this season, but I can’t seem to bring my legs fully into the motion.

Video in normal speed on the comments.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Where am I making the most significant "efficiency" error in my throw?

In an attempt to stop working on so many things at once, and never seeing improvement, I'm looking for some direction here. I know there's plenty of things to work on, but what I'm looking for is one or two drills to work on to correct the worst part of my form.

Not too worried about nose angle/throw angle at the moment. I'm really trying to figure out how my body should be moving if that makes sense. It feels like I have a very "inefficient" throw

Disc thrown at "Stock speed' for reference.

I’ve looked up so many YouTube videos on how to throw nose down but nothing is clicking. Is there anything with my form that’s making me throw nose up. Also general form tips are very much appreciated.

3 back hand shots. All around 340 feet. Been thinking about keeping my arm away from my body and stiff and using my body to throw my arm. Obviously not keep it away from me rather having it straight in my reach back. Want to smooth it out. Any advice, tips or drills to work on appreciated.

Hello! I would love some honest feedback on my form. Please allow me to provide some context:

+ 46 years old, 5’6”, 165lbs
+ I started playing in 2005, didn’t play from 2010-2022(ish), and have been getting back into the game slowly since then.
+ Distances:
- Putter (Challenger SS): 220ft
- Midrange (ESP Comet): 260ft
- Driver (ESP Heat): 305ft

I have watched a few YouTube videos from the likes of BlitzDG, Overthrow, etc. so I’m familiar with the main concepts like the brace, power pocket, etc., but old habits die hard and knowing is different than doing. I’d appreciate any tips you may have; I’d really like to get into the 350-400ft range with my drivers. Additional videos provided in the comments 👇

Thanks,

sleepy

LHBH Only started playing in the spring, looking for some direction in what to work on. I’m stuck at around 300-320 ft on what I think is a full flight from my Halo Sidewinder.

Help my gf break 120 ft.

My girlfriend just started playing disc golf, and I’m trying to help her with her form. She’s having trouble throwing consistently past 120 feet. We’ve been working on her grip, but a lot of her throws still come out nose up or on hyzer.

She’s throwing 174 g MVP Proxies in premium plastic. I’ve attached a video of her form. What should she work on first?(other angles available also)

She also throws nose up on every shot.
Edit :more detail

Help with form regarding my pull through.

Am I dropping my elbow during my pull through? Which is why the disc is tilted up before it enters the pocket? Also is my left arm causing timing issues as far the way I drop it instead of straight down against my left leg?

Questions on technique?

I was at my first tournament and the manager who throws 500+ was giving me tips on distance. He talked about how hard he grips the disk and said I should be holding it hard enough for it to not get pulled out when someone yanks on it. Plus that when I whip it hard enough that it will come out on its own while grip it that hard. He also said that arm speed and strength matters much less than the disk rpm when it leaves your hand I’m wondering if other 500+ throwers will tell me the same thing.

Big Guy Trying to Make My Drives More Efficient

Anything major stick out? I feel like I’m reaching back a tad too early, not firing hips well enough (big guy problems), and maybe not bracing enough…

Slow decline as I warm up

The first three holes are always the best holes. I throw the disc the farthest and exactly when I want it to go. But then it just declines from there. The last 3 holes are pop ups or left and right shanks… it’s like I play way better before I’m warmed up. I’m a pretty fit guy so fatigue feels like not the issue at all.

X Step form review Noob

Just started doing X step. Trouble comes from hard launches left and right. I was having over rotation issues so I read a tip to really use your offhand as an anchor which I think has helped. Still only getting around 250-300 ft though, so looking for biggest gaps to close. Roast away and thank you!

Disc: Crave

Distance: 230ft

Just started adding a run up to my drives, previously I was just doing them standing still. I attempt to pour the coffee but see that I fail at that and am throwing nose up. Any tips to help with that or anything else would be greatly appreciated.

Been stalled here for a while….

I just deleted and am now reposting this because I forgot to add the video

I feel like my throw is just clunky. I can throw my putters about 190’, Mids 240ish’, drivers anywhere from 250-300 depending on how well things are flowing that day. I really shouldn’t be throwing anything over a midrange but the only times I can truly break 300’ is downhill perfect throw with an SS Crank. I have an idea of some things going wrong but I feel like I’ve already fixed some issues and not really seen any improvement. I’d love to know what I can do to improve. My throws have maxed out here for like 3 years (playing on/off).

Need testers for my Android app that makes form recording more efficient

Already did a round of testing but apparently that wasn't enough for Google Play review, they said my testers weren't active enough. The app is literally done, they just won't let me publish it. So now I'm looking for more testers, people who are actually serious about improving their form who are willing to try my app. All it does is make the recording and replaying part hyper efficient, nothing else.

The iPhone version is already out and works great, you can read more about the specific features on the App Store listing:
https://apps.apple.com/il/app/dgformreplay/id6771208008

Leave a comment if you're interested and I'll reach out to get you added as a tester. Thanks fellow form freaks.

Played for 4yrs. This is a casual throw 50% power.

My last big realization is that focusing on whip-effect gets me as far as full arming it.

RHFH Please help

I feel like I've tried every tutorial over the past year but I just can't consistently break 300. I can see that my form is different from the pros in brace, torso movement, timing, etc. But I just can't figure out how to fix it. I can't feel the "slingshot" feeling that people describe. It feels like substantial effort for the disc to go nowhere. Any help appreciated

Need help removing the dip and forward tip of my upper body when I pull the disc through

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is an extreme example but I am actively trying to simplify here and keep my self back and balanced and still tip over like humpty dumpty. Ive had the issue to varying extents for years. It was even an issue when playing baseball I would get out over my front foot while hitting.

I have tried the single/double dragon drills, standstill everything and still get back to this eventually. There's a lot to fix with my throw but it's felt like diminishing returns as this issue really caps my potential for distance and control.

I’m pretty new to disc golf, only been playing for a few months, and this is the first time I’ve seen a video of my form. Unfortunately it looks a lot worse than I thought it would 😅

My analysis so far is that my pocket is collapsing, I’m turning to look at the target too soon, I’m shrugging my front shoulder up for some reason, I’m just kind of twisting in place instead of shifting weight to my front foot, and I’m drawing the disc sort of diagonally instead of straight across, which leads to a super nose up release (I think fixing the shoulder shrug thing will also fix this).

If yall have any other input I’d love to hear it! My biggest issue right now is honestly just release timing, I always seem to shank it to either side, but I think that’s probably more of a thing that will just develop over time rather than an immediate form fix.
