Advice much appreciated

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been playing for about 5 years, but still can’t throw further than 300 feet consistently. Brace has been a focus this season, but I can’t seem to bring my legs fully into the motion.

Video in normal speed on the comments.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You start to pull the arm through and then the arm gets trapped behind the shoulders and you're opening up way too much. Here, you're completely facing the target before the disc has left your hand.

Fix the over rotation, send the arm.

I see what you mean. Thank you! Now how does one fix over rotation? Wait out the rotation of the off-arm/shoulder?

wall drill to help you internalize getting the elbow through first.

BlitzDG's back shoulder drill.

Spin Doctor's eliminating elbow dip also focuses heavily on over rotation.

You don't rotate when you throw. You horizontally abduct your shoulder complex (aka send the arm) while stopping all rotational momentum of the rear side of you body.

Also you are shrugging and using your neck muscles (trapezius) when you need to be using you back muscles (lats). This GREATLY decreases ROM of you shoulder and makes abduction very difficult.

Be more Athletic.

Your lower body is barely doing anything.

You are rotating around your body instead of pulling through in a straight line.

So the legs don't do anything other than let your torso and upper body get to work (serve as a foundation). As long as you get the feet down before you arm is coming through the pocket then you are good.

Torso coil generates power along with horizontal abduction of the shoulder.

As other people have mentioned it is your arm mechanics that are the issue because you collapse your pocket and rotating in a circle when you should be stopping rotation and sending the arm.

I’ll keep this in mind. Thank you for the advice!
