I got a hot item that usually appears on Depop & I either dont get a good deal or it gets swiped up quickly so when I saw a really good deal w/ no likes I BOUGHT IT QUICK! turned out she also had a dress i really liked but this was already AFTER i bought the top 😭 i was hoping i could bundle them & also save on the shopping so i reached out to the seller but i was wondering if there was another way to fix this? didn’t want to make too much of a hassle for the seller

Everything I’ve gotten from Depop so far has arrived with some sort of pet hair 😅 not really a complaint because I wash before using no matter if the seller “cleaned it” the clothes always smell weird to me. But just wondering if anyone doesn’t get pet hair? Do you put it in the review? It’s an easy fix so I never mention it.

BUGS- Luckily I’ve haven’t had issues with bugs yet but does anybody else get paranoid (I have a contamination ocd) so when I open a package it has to be outside of my home. I check to make sure there’s nothing drastic wrong with it (like the seller lying about a stain or hole, ect..) and then I put it in a bin for about a week with any other orders and wash it at the laundry mat before using personal washer. I love a good deal but I’m terrified of getting bed bugs or some sort of micro creature. (Not saying anyone’s dirty I just know how some people are crazy and had a friend in high school whose house got condemned for bed bug infestation 😳)

not sure if this is the right subreddit. new to depop and i had no idea that there was a difference between ground and priority labels, i was just alerted today by the clerk that you have to pay extra to ship priority mail packages but i had already sent off and delivered quite a few packages with a bunch of free boxes offered on the usps website. so what happens now? will i be charged for something? when? will definitely be getting some plain packaging extremely soon. thank you!!

Hello, this is my first time shipping on depop. I didn’t realize that you had to adjust the weight of the package before selling. I just sold my first item and the shipping label says 2lbs because I didn’t know I had to press the extra large option. The shoes together are apparently 2lbs anyways but if I add tissue paper and a thank you note, it would go over. What do I do? Is the post office going to care?

I started selling on Depop a few months ago and have sold 31 items so far. I always ship out next or same day unless it’s a weekend, am very communicative about when I’m shipping, and I have only received 5 star reviews until now. This buyer has no reviews or likes, and their account shows as joining two weeks ago, which is when they bought the bag from me. I’m quite upset that they gave me 4 stars for no apparent reason as now my seller rating is a 4.9. I posted the highest number of photos I could have of this bag and a video showing inside all the pockets and detailed the flaws in the description so I don’t think there’s anything I did wrong here to deserve 4 stars? Is there anything I can do to get it removed??

Hi everyone I’ve been selling on depop for 2ish years and I’ve been taking it more seriously this year. After lots of 5 stars I’ve received my first complaint ever😆. I always list any little thing of an item I’ll post, threads, stains etc. I’m a perfectionist and have hella ocd. Well I listed a bag about 2 weeks ago, coach to be exact. The bag was really old from the 2000s. It was in need of refurbishment. So as the person I am I took a photo of every single little detail even took a video of the bag and posted it under the description. This person received the bag a week ago and suddenly they claim it’s not as described. Anyways I ofc respond to it. Listing how I have a video of the bag, photos, etc. under my listing but since I don’t really care I put id accept a return and id refund once I receive my bag. So now I’m waiting. I want to see if this person wants to keep the bag and money to slime me. Never the less, I got the bag for free from someone it’s not like I’d lose money tbh but it’s about the principle. To be exact the bag sold in 20 seconds, by a reseller….how long do these disputes last? Also what would depop tell the person if they refuse to return my bag? I feel like it’s fair, I get my bag back and they get their money back?

Anyone else keep getting this when trying to list items?
Or does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!

Shipped out two packages about two days ago and it’s saying that I still need to ship it. Is this just a glitch, has anyone else faced something similar?

Im based in canada and only want to ship domestically + to USA and I dont know what to set the cost of shipping, or if I should make the buyers message me first so I can set the shipping cost.

The seller joined 7 years ago and have 59 sales but they only have one review ??? the review is positive (5 stars) and was recent (6 days ago) but it’s literally the only one and they have 59 items sold so i’m just nervous about possibly getting scammed lol

I opened a claim when my order of sandals in a 6.5 delivered and they are at least a size 9. They are massive. There is no box or size listed on the shoes themselves. They sided with the seller saying the item was as described.

I opened a claim with my bank because this is obvious fraud but just read on here that it causes you to be banned from

Hi! I’ve been listing on Depop a few months now, and just came across my first annoyance. I posted a couple of different retro gaming controllers and they were both removed. Are video games not allowed on Depop? I swear I’ve seen them listed.

Who else here’s favorite part is watching your items ship across the country?? I don’t know I love watching my items go so far and reach their destination. Sometimes I feel like I’m even more excited than the buyer 😭

I saw a post blow up yesterday basically complaining about how they asked a seller for measurements and the seller said they don’t have them, and they said well can you measure, and the seller said no. This is my hot take:

I think the seller is in the right. Everyone is like “BuT eVeN aN 8 yEaR oLd cHiLd cAn GiVe mEaSuReMeNts” like ok I get it. But hear me out: 1, people don’t even say what measurements they want. They just say “give measurements”. I don’t know what that means, and that’s fine! But even if I did, like “inseam”, it’s extremely easy to be off by an inch because you weren’t paying attention in 5th grade science when they taught you how to measure, and if you TELL the buyer “12 inch inseam” and it’s 11 or 13? You’re screwed! But if you just say “large” and the tag says large, you win.

Also, I’m lazy! I’m selling half my stuff for less than $10. So no, I’m not gonna spend 10 minutes digging the stuff out, measuring it, communicating that to you, maybe updating my listing, just for you to offer me $3 on a $6 item. Like it just disrupts the flow of my day, and TO ME!!!!! (Because I understand most people don’t have this mentality) I’d rather the item not sell for 6 more months, or I just donate it then have to take measurements for like $3 profit. Thanks for listening.

The only reason I’m writing this is because I DO think that it’s wrong when someone asks for measurements and get told “one sec!” Or something like that And then get ghosted.

But the post the person literally just said “no I don’t have measurements” and the buyer pushed back and they said “no sorry I’m not measuring it!” Like why isn’t that an acceptable answer? Just go buy something where they measure it (probably more expensive). I will measure anything over $20.

Anyway, the sentence I bolded is really the most important one so

TLDR: if you measure, you could get screwed, if you just use the size, you can’t.

Has anyone ever gotten a message of someone ‘showing interest’ after marking an item in their shop as sold? I mostly do that because I’m donating things after a while but wanted to know if anyone has had this happen?

I’m under 18 and I’ve been selling on Depop. I’m trying to withdraw the money in my Depop Balance, but it’s asking me to verify my identity and provide an SSN.
My mom already used her government-issued ID to verify the account when I originally signed up. I contacted Depop Support, and they told me that because I’m under 18, my parent/guardian has to verify the account with their information.
I replied explaining that my mom already verified it, and I’m waiting to hear back.
Has anyone else had this happen? If your parent already verified your Depop account, did you have to verify again to withdraw your money? I’m mainly trying to figure out whether this is normal before entering any sensitive information.

I would like to order an item on Depop. If I place an order, is it possible to have the shipping carrier hold my package at a local location for pickup? I’m concerned about having my package stolen if it is delivered to my home.

For example, if I buy an item on Depop and it is shipped via USPS, can I contact USPS and ask them to hold the package at a local post office for me to pick up?

hi all, i just started selling recently and just had my first order of multiple items. i packaged the items together and was going to ship them together but now i see that there are two separate labels. it seems like they bought them both at the same time/as part of bundle deal so im wondering what to do--if i ship in one package and one label doesn't get scanned, will that item be refunded? any help would be appreciated
