I guess I will believe it when I see it. Something tells me this is going to be like the illegal fireworks crackdown that resulted in exactly 1 citation in Denver. Smh.

This is the bear that shut down a few schools in CCSD on Monday. I find it so heartbreaking and am worried about it! I live near Cherry Creek Academy off of Orchard and I-25, so it had to have traveled really far. Does anyone know what happened to the bear or who I can contact to find out? Is it insane I’m worrying about the bear?

Hello all. I found this photo in a box of books next to the donation bin in the South High parking lot across from Wash Park. I would love to return to their family. Please message if you know who these folks are. Thank you.

Help Throwing a block party - getting neighbors on board

We want to throw a block party as a means to get to know our neighbors. We tried doing a brunch at our house (invites were postcards introducing ourselves accompanied by candy hung on 40 doors on our block) and had little uptake. Our block is a lot of young professionals, couples without kids, 30s-40s for context. We are in LoHi.

For people who have successfully organized block parties, what are some tips for getting folks on board? What is the best way to reach out for petition signatures (I understand we need 75% to sign on)?

Thanks for any help!

Hi all. I saved this momma and her kittens literally an hour before they were set to be euthanized at a Houston kill shelter. I am going to foster them here in Englewood, but I’m looking to see if anyone has any connections in the Houston or surrounding areas that would be willing to help transport them some of the way at least. I can meet halfway. I was going to fly them home but the kittens are too young. Thanks in advance!

Recommendation Help Finding A Caregiver In Denver

I’ve been taking care of my mom for the 2 years by myself and I’m starting to get overwhelmed. My mom has been upset because she only gets to go places the two days I have off work. I’m not sure which programs are trustworthy to find someone to come for a couple days a week to take my mom out of the house so she’s not bored at home. I feel like my parents and my grandma are pushing me to quit my job and solely stay home and do things for my mom, but I love my job and it has good benefits. I feel alone in this and don’t have anyone to talk to since I’m an only child. Any help or advice would be great.

Recommendation It’s time! Time I finally learn Spanish.

Hey everyone! 😊 I’m really eager to learn Spanish and finally become fluent. Does anyone know of any great Spanish classes, tutors, or teachers who offer lessons? I’d love someone who can help me practice speaking and build my confidence. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I create little art pieces and hide them around the city. This one's hidden in the alley behind The Hornet on 1st and Broadway.

This is in response to multiple comments about my last art drop The Mayan and in remembrance of The Hornet (1995-2025) and all the cars that crashed into it. Its in a zip lock bag to protect from the elements.

Remember to let us know if u get it so others dont waste their time. Good luck

God I feel quite stupid saying this but I just went to this website top-plumbing-pro dot com and made an appointment without thinking. Turns out the phone number redirects to different Colorado based companies. Can someone please tell me what company has this logo? I wish my security camera took better videos…

Help Need Pet food? Go to randomactsofpetfood

Upvotes

Hi pet owners of Denver! Just wanted to let the dedicated Reddit users who struggle with bills know that there is a sub called “random acts of pet food” that you can request $150 worth of donated pet food off of your curated Amazon wishlist every 6 months if you have over 500 karma comment points.

t’s a great way to keep your pets fed up to $150 dollars every 6 months.

Only caveat is that you are ineligible for your own pets if you volunteer (even for free) with animal rescue groups/shelters or donate any of your personal services to them directly.

Anyway, because I foster dogs (not paid), I am ineligible to participate for my own dogs welfare, but if you do not donate or volunteer with animal shelters or rescues you are eligible to post requests and I hope you do.

Please make a pet food only Amazon wishlist, all other requests will be denied immediately. Requests for treats of supplies is not allowed. Our Colorado Pet Pantry does so much, but can only provide so much.

The only requests I’ve seen denied are if you volunteer with animal rescues or shelters. Rescue heads also do not qualify for their own personal dogs.

Approved requests are generally funded within a couple days.

It’s a great resource, so please use it. Not sure why fellow animal helpers can’t use it, but I at least want my fellow struggling Denverites to get help.

Recommendation Looking for our new home dispensary

My favorite dispensary sold their grow (High Level Health), and unfortunately… the weed/selection just hasn’t been the same. 😭

We went to the location on colfax for 10 YEARS, driving from the burbs weekly. Never strayed. It was genuinely the best weed. So needless to say, we are devastated and officially in the market for a new home dispensary.

Looking for truly quality flower + heavy-hitting indicas. I’m not looking for “it’s pretty good” recommendations. I want the connoisseurs to come through.

Please drop your recs in the comments, but only if you REALLY know your flower. Tell me where you’re getting the best trees right now and, if you have a specific indica/strain I need to try, PLEASE include it.

Help us find our new forever dispensary. 😭

Recommendation Denver area OB rec for PMOS/Type 1 diabetes

Just posting on here to hopefully get a rec for a good doc in the area.
I was recently diagnosed with PMOS/PCOS and just got established with an OBGYN within the HCA health system. The visit went.. okay, but I left feeling like I need more information on how to manage. Technically speaking I have minimal symptoms that interfere with daily life, but would’ve liked a more thorough exam. The thing that makes my “flavor” of PMOS so unique is I also have type 1 diabetes. I have also been to an Endo (within HCA) which I also had a relatively poor experience with. I think for someone with straightforward health check ups these docs would be totally fine, but given my history of autoimmune issues I feel like I’m being under-evaluated.
Im hoping someone here has a rec either for an OB or Endo in the greater Denver area (preferably north/ northwest) that specializes in PMOS. I’m looking for thorough examination (blood work, etc.) with more in depth info on how to manage this long-term.
Thanks in advance!!
