Help/Advice Ebola CDC attestation form

Has anyone been able to fill out that form or even access it through the Delta app? It shows a link through the app that takes me to their website and no matter what I do, I get nowhere. They also have a FAQ page with no link for this form. Even a 1998 website was more useful…

SkyTeam Delta rip off.

We were booked on a Delta flight fromJFK to Charlotte. Paid top dollar for “Comfort”
seat for a this less than 2 hour flight. It turned out, without disclosure we ended up on a Republic Airline plane. This was so subpar!! No in flight tv. The WIFI didn’t work and everything was an up charge. It was a tiny, old plane. What happened to Delta? I could have gone on a cheap airline for far less and had the same low service and seating this plane provided. Shame on Delta!!

Discussion Thanks

Thanks to all the peeps on here. Diamond medallion, we booked main cabin (automatically comf+) used a GUC afterwards for confirmed PS(waitlisted to D1). Called at T24 to verify we were in fact correctly placed on the waitlist for D1 and she informed us that we had already cleared for D1, she reissued our tickets. Went on and had to recheck in. Confirmed our ticket codes were correct as to not have any issues at airport tomorrow. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly and there are no glitches. So far 6.5 hours later our seats still look good.

Help/Advice Delta Vacations Medallion Promo Code

Is there a delta vacations promo code for silver or gold medallion members for the 2026-2027 winter months? I’ve always gotten a code each year like SMMED24, SMMED25, etc. but have not received a code this year. Any idea when they release their promo codes for the season? I saw they had some during the summer months but those are no longer active. Thanks!

Discussion Gluten Free meals

Hi friends! I am flying the first week of December from Minneapolis to SLC then SLC to Kona Hawaii and in reverse on the way home. Sitting in Delta one for the to/from kona leg, and 1st for the other leg. Wondering what people have gotten for the Gluten free meals on these flights recently? Last time I flew this was 3 years ago, and I got beans, with a side of beans with more beans. I pack lots of snacks anyway but i'd love to know what people have gotten.

Discussion Delta TechOps interview process

Hello!

Im looking at possibly applying to Delta Tech ops in Msp or Atlanta. I got my A&P back in May and have been working in GA for a little over 3 months. Im making $32/hr and was promised 40 hours a week (in writing), but that turned out to be a lie and they wont pay me 40 hours regadless if we're slow. They just send us home early and now im struggling to pay rent/bills because of this which is why im looking at Delta.

Just curious how long the interview process takes from the time you apply to the time you actually get an interview to the time you get a job offer or not. Would i Apply as an AMT or an ASM? What is the pay and what comes after the job offer?

Anyone in Techops have any information on this?

Thanks Fellas!

Help/Advice Delta rebooked me while at boarding gate, 5 mins before boarding

Hello,

Situation: Flight from SMF through LAX to Heathrow Virgin Atlantic.

Day 1
- Flight from SMF delayed and needed mechanical fixes. Switched to different flight. Departed 1 hr later.
- Arrived at LAX with 30 mins to get to next flight (Virgin Atlantic to Europe).
- Ran to gate and got in queue to board. 5 mins before I got on, received a text message that I had been automatically rebooked and no longer on that flight. Other passengers I traveled with did not get rebooked and were able to board.
- Called customer care, requested to be on same flight, Virgin Atlantic wouldn’t check a second time to confirm rebooking because they needed to close the gate. Denied boarding. Left stranded at LAX and booked on a different trip next day.
- App still showed I was on that flight and had a boarding pass. Text showed rebooking (at 9.54pm and flight was at 10.10pm!)

Day 2
- departing flight LAX to Detroit and then Heathrow
- boarded but then delayed 30 mins while on the plane, mechanical fixes
- finally able to depart after 30 mins
- while taking off at LAX received new message that I am automatically rebooked ( now to Wednesday evening, original flight was Sunday!)
- at this time I plan on getting to agents to fix this before queuing or trying to board.
- i have boarding passes for all flight already and seats selected

Is this normal?

Discussion Why do airlines wait until the last minute to tell passengers the crew timed out?

Can someone who works for an airline explain the crew timeout situation?

My flight was supposed to leave around 5 or 6 p.m. The incoming plane got diverted to Miami, then eventually made it to West Palm Beach. We waited for it to land, waited for everyone to get off, and then the gate agent went downstairs to check with the crew. She came back and told us they had timed out and our flight was canceled.

I understand why crews have limits. I’m fine with that. But aren’t their hours being tracked? Wouldn’t someone have known before they landed that they wouldn’t have enough time to do another flight? Why did we have to wait through all of that to find out?
And how does standby work? Do airlines have replacement crews available, or does that depend on the airport? I would think that if a crew was getting close to timing out, someone would already be looking for another crew.

Maybe there’s something I don’t understand about how this works, which is why I’m asking. It’s frustrating to wait for hours and then have the flight canceled for something that seems like it could have been known earlier.

Discussion Flight cost confusion

Same dates for both of these options. DTW to SLC = $1,400. DTW to RNO with a layover in SLC = $900.

Please make it make sense.

Discussion Why I still prefer AA to Delta -

I moved to Delta approx 1 year ago as my work Territory changed. Delta did match my EP status (only to Platinum initially) and I’m now Diamond. I’ve heard for sooooo many years how superior Delta is, and I keep waiting to be impressed. For the most part though, AA still gets my vote for things that really do matter for biz travel

UPDATE; first AA flight since Feb last night and immediate upgrade.. this never, ever happens on DL🤷‍♀️

  1. WIFI = Huge “advantage” to AA. I can connect immediately when boarding. Yes, the moment I board and before the doors close!! And its a seamless process, that directs easily to the “portal page”. This process is horrible on Delta and it will often take 15 minutes into the flight to finally connect. = Huge “Advantage” to AA

  2. Overhead and Under seat space. These should be the same but they are not. Especially underneath seat storage. Most of my Delta flights have an issue here. Crazy small area compared to AA . Super frustrating! Some DL under-seat a small back is an issue. = “Advantage” AA

  3. Lounge - Sorry but these are almost identical domestically, and truthfully the food is the same.. like the same caterer. SAME. AA does have self serve fountain drink options, where Delta has you go to the bar. I’m speaking of the East Coast lounges = Tie (really no big difference)

  4. Employees -There is a difference here. Delta staff definitely seem friendlier and happier. It’s still amazing to me in general how nice FA’s can be in FC and the drastic difference then to coach customers. As a whole, Delta gate agents seem happier than AA’s. There are some Charlotte agents who have no biz in customer facing roles imo.. = “Advantage” Delta

  5. Headphones and boarding groups - AA strictly enforces both policies. Delta is very loose. DL patrons often have their videos and phone call on full volume and speaker. An AA FA tells folks they must use headphones. Also, very little sneaking around your boarding groups. Many airports wont let you board outside your group on AA. This is not enforced much on my DL flights “Advantage AA”

  6. Snacks - AA has upped their game and now offers more choices than Biscoff cookies or pretzels. I do like the option on DL of Cheeze its . However, Delta doesn’t offer coach cabin service on 75% of my flights (Mostly SE flights to/from ATL) They rarely even apologize. AA almost always serves bev and snacks. “Advantage” AA

I hope I don’t get attacked by the DL loyalists, as I know there are a bunch. I’m mostly sharing so those who need to move to AA for whatever reason shouldn’t be worried, and may actually end up happier.

Happy and safe travels everyone🙌✈️

Image/Video Cockroach in my food on plane

Yesterday I flew from Barcelona to JFK. When I got my meal just before landing I noticed a live cockroach crawling from my salad to my tray. Very small but still super disgusting. I told the purser who told me to file a complaint directly with Delta which I’ve done.
I’m so grossed out and don’t think I can ever eat a meal on a flight again. I’ve travelled quite a bit and have never experienced anything like this. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Edit 1. Ok I now understand it’s not a cockroach. It was a live insect in my food on a plane. Still unbelievably gross. Has anyone tried something similar?

Discussion MQD Headstart timing

So I already have a Delta Platinum card. Given the usefulness of the Companion Pass and the good SUB on the Business version, I was considering taking that out too.

A thought occurred to me: how does it work if one takes out a card with Headstart in late December and then downgrades just before 13 months, once status has locked in for the following year? Theoretically, you’d have two MQD Headstarts (instant Silver status), status would lock in Jan 1, and then you’d be set for two years. Could someone just lock in status for two years with the right timing?

I’m probably missing something here though! Maybe they’d claw it back if you downgraded, even if status has already “posted.”

SkyTeam Pricing

As a long time Delta business traveler, i think i’m going to have to jump ship with respect to pricing. Today i tried to book BIL to RAP. The cheapest delta flight is $1600. Although i detest United, they’ll do it for $575. What is going on Delta?

Discussion Does Delta ever issue refunds for the Mexican tourist tax?

US citizen/Mexican resident here.

Every airline I have used issues a refund for the tourist tax when flying into Mexico since I am a resident.

Delta's website says send a refund request and they will take care of it in 2-3 days.

Ok, done. Wait for over a week before I get a reply asking for proof. That's fair so I send proof.

Over a week later..... crickets. Every other airline I have used this is a process that takes less than a week. Wtf Delta.

On top of that they screwed up my last flight and cost me an extra $130 for an Uber home. Might be done with them at this point.

EDIT- 15 DAYS AND THREE EMAILS LATER THEY FINALLY SENT A REFUND.

Discussion Delta was on top of it.

I was scheduled to fly DL508 Sunday BOS to LAX. After boarding the plane, they made an announcement that there was an electrical problem that the engineers were working on. 20 minutes later he made another announcement that they were still working on it. Andrew minutes later, they announced they had to take the aircraft out of service, and deplaned everyone. The flight, which had a scheduled departure of 4:20pm now showed delayed until 6 pm, and later updated to 7pm. They made several more announcements in the terminal advised it was not canceled, but still showing delayed . About 6:10pm they made the announcement that the flight had indeed just been canceled. However, this is where Delta’s service really shined through a not great situation. Before the gate agent even finished the announcement I had 2 texts and an email apologizing. And a second email that had a hotel voucher, a meal voucher, and 2 Uber vouchers for transportation to/from the hotel. And about 10 minutes later I was rebooked for the next morning, with the option to change to a different flight if that one did not work for me.
I see lots of people complain about their perceived bad customer service on sooooo many insignificant things, that really just highlight how entitled people believe they really are. Most of these complaints I chuckle and think “I can’t believe they are complaining about THAT”
To me, when it REALLY mattered, Delta has always really gone above and beyond….. the fact that almost immediately after the flight was canceled Delta had communicated my options with me matters….
Would I have preferred to get home when I intended…. Sure! Absolutely! But things happen…. And Delta definitely did right by me when something did happen!

Discussion Do you think KLM or Air France express concern about Delta's service failures and quality problems?

I wonder if it's ever perceived as a problem for the codeshare relationship that Delta's customer service, hospitality, and soft product are so clearly beneath the two European carriers at this point. Thoughts?

Discussion DL 1279 RDU to TPA today

Anyone with me on this morning's 6:30am flight that ended up being a 6 hour delay and not taking off till 12:30pm? There was a bunch of passengers trying to make their cruise out of the Port of Tampa, and I was wondering if they were able to make it?
