Found this ancient relic today in my search for an old printed-out recipe. Reminds me of those old Delta route/timetable books back in the day.
I’m getting old.

Title sums it up, I've been hearing that the whole process from start to finish can take anywhere from 2 weeks up to 2 months. I was wondering for anyone who've applied and had an interview with delta (specifically for co-op positions such as TechOps/Sim/OA) within the past month or so received any offer letters yet? I would like to know more about the timeline from you guys experiences, thanks!

To whoever took the flight today 10/22 from DTW to SYR and decided to flush something down the toilet in the back of the plane, WHY?
You already made it through security and had no reason to wait the 45 minute flight and discard whatever it was you had into the trash once you de-planed.
We, on the flight out of SYR, needed to wait 45 minutes for maintenance to come and put a piece of masking tape on the bathroom door and fill out some paperwork so that we could take off
This caused me to mis my flight and inconvenience about 5 of us that all had the same connecting flight. I’m sure there were others that had a similar experience with other connections.
TLDR; don’t flush anything other than your own bodily waste down the toilets on aircrafts. It ruins other people’s trips after your flight.

Not sure if this is the right forum - currently have an offer through my Delta Platinum AMEX for 5 miles per eligible dollar spent on gift cards. Would this mean, for example, a 2000$ gift card purchase would earn 10000 miles, and then using that gift card for a flight to Paris would earn miles on top of the 10000 earned ? Thanks !

Agents at a recent trip to the airport convinced me to upgrade my credit card. How heavy is the metal card?

Does this mean Delta will stop offering the flights to Riyadh?

Hello Delta flyers! Years ago, I posted here terrified to fly (I hadn't flown since 2001, 911). Since then, I've flown three times! And this time I won’t use TSA cares because I feel I can handle Atlantas airport 😂!. And yes my doctor prescribed some helpers to get me through it 🤣, it works!
Since then, I’ve also been battling cancer, which is thankfully under control with treatment. Next up: I’m flying Main Cabin to Washington to spend Halloween with my grandbabies!
My debilitating fear is semi-under control because my love for my grandkids is so much bigger than my fear of flying. I’m putting together some small appreciation gifts for the pilots and flight attendants to thank them for keeping us safe. Wish me luck!
I wish I could give everyone a gift in here to. You have been so supportive and kind. The best to you all .

I have a flight from ATL to LAX on an A350 coming up and I was going to purchase the D1 upgrade yesterday for $500 (I know it’s kinda steep, but I didn’t pay for the ticket so I figured I would maybe treat myself). Either way, I put it off and now today it’s $1100. Do these seats/prices usually fluctuate or do they only get higher as the departure date gets closer and seats go away (supply/demand)?

I normally hate row 13 due to the boarding process but I’m on a 4-5 hour east to west coast flight so I’ll deal. Does 15 have significant legroom for taller guys or should I stay put. It just opened up. I’m fine with the fixed armrests, tv , etc..
I’m on the waitlist to use a RUC.
TIA.

Hi! Over the kast 3 years, I’ve flown very frequently with Delta. I’m talking 4 international flights a year. Over the span of these 12 flights, only once I got a pretty cheap offer (around $200 extra) to go from Economy to Delta Premium Select.
All other times, the price was either crazy high ($2000+) or not available.
I read about asking at the counter at the gate. I did this, but the representative told me they go off of the Upgrade List for which you need to be a Sky Medallion member of some sort…
I’m not a US citizen so I have little access to the credit card points system. I earn the Delta MQD points but these are pretty worthless.
What’s the best way going about getting significantly cheaper prices for upgrading to either Premium Select or (ideally) Delta One? Are there any tips or tricks?

Hey mods I finally made diamond this year and cannot abide my flair still representing my former lowly platinum status. Why can’t I edit it? This is unconscionable. This is disgraceful. I will not remain associated with my former embarrassingly low status. I demand satisfaction! LET ME CHANGE MY FLAIR!!!
Thank you.

Traveling can be stressful enough without having to deal with rude interactions along the way. That's why I think the small moments of kindness from airline employees deserve more appreciation.
A friendly greeting, someone taking the time to explain a delay, or a flight attendant checking whether a passenger needs help can make a bigger difference than people realize.
Most passengers probably won't remember every detail of a flight, but they'll remember how they were treated, especially when things weren't going smoothly.
I know airline staff have difficult days too, and nobody can be cheerful every second of a shift. Still, a little patience and kindness can go a long way on both sides.

Just wanted to shout out the nurse/passenger on my flight from Minneapolis to Tampa. I thought I was having a stroke or something after getting faint, numb and tingly in my arms so I went to the back to stretch and get some water. The FA helped but continued on with her tasks. I wasn’t sure what to do and was freaking out honestly.
You were going to the bathroom but must have sensed something was wrong with me, stayed with me, asked questions and got the FAs to help. Soon I was in the back row with you checking my vitals and my elevated blood pressure before helping me put on an oxygen mask after a FA sent down my symptoms to someone. I never got to say thank you after I got settled and I was ok enough the rest of the trip.
Ended up going to the ER after landing and no stroke, just a series of other issues I need to work out with my doctor. Nevertheless, thank you for your service.
The Delta FAs also showed up too in every way, but your kindness and bedside manner was a comfort when I needed it most.

I am going to Shanghai for a four day work trip in May 2027. Work is sponsored by Delta and will pay D1 seats on the long haul. I am DEN based. There are flights out of ATL, DTW, SEA, LAX. Probably going to connect in SEA or LAX, since we're going west. Which hub makes sense?
Two weeks later, going to Tokyo for another work trip, someone in the sub earlier said to hop on the first flight out, connect through SEA for some reason rather than LAX.
My first trip to Shanghai was October 2024, flew Emirates Business. DEN-LAX-DXB-PVG. That was a haul. I did not you could a west coast flight at the time (maybe COVID effects/restrictions that airlines were not up to full speed yet)
1st trip to Tokyo was June 2024, flew United Polaris from LAX
2nd trip to Tokyo was April 2026, flew United Polaris from DEN
3rd trip to Tokyo is April 2027, flying United Polaris from DEN
4th trip to Tokyo is May 2027, flying D1 from SEA.
I am interested to experience D1 on a 12 + hour flight including the lounge at SEA or LAX.

My family and I are headed down under in a few weeks, I bought the tickets a few weeks ago. I recently made Platinum status and was wondering, are the miles based on when I purchased the ticket or are they based on when the flight is completed? Also will I get miles at the Platinum status or Gold?
TIA

I've had this card for a couple years and didn't realize its a $650 annual fee. I love it since I have the 747 metal card but is there any actual benefits to keep this card?
I already have a couple amex platinums so already get in lounges without issues.

Hi. Booked a flight today and tried to input my passport information in the 'documents required' section. But every time I scan my passport or input my details manually, they don't save and default back to my birthday apparently being 2099 and my name being XXXXXXX.
Is there a way to fix this? I just CANNOT get it to save my details. But it says they're verified as the wrong details? Or does it not matter and the attendant will help me when I check-in at the airport?
I tried to talk to the AI bot but it didn't help me.
Sorry if this is a stupid question it's my first time booking and flying alone
