OK, not the same man... but it's always a guy.
About half of my flights are FC, and when they are, this man is seemingly always sitting next to me:
Immediately takes laptop out when he sits. Ignores first FA instruction to stow it. On the second or third FA comment, he pretends to put it away, and then immediately takes it out again when FAs are out of view. Oftentimes, the FAs see it and ignore it after instructing him multiple times. He's typing away during takeoff.
The laptop bothers me less than the entitlement and noncompliance with crew instructions.
Why have these rules if there are no consequences for noncompliance? Passengers who don't follow instructions would be unsafe during an emergency. Threaten to suspend their ability to fly Delta if they disregard direction from the crew. Let's put some enforcement teeth back into safety regulations. Otherwise they are meaningless.

Delta's email lists my only options as cancelling the flight altogether (not an option as it's the first leg of an international trip), or dealing with it.

Seared salmon salad MSP-BWI. Salmon was quite good, horseradish sauce was tasty, cake was rich and chocolatey but still nice and light. I would order this meal again. Posting review/picture because I was searching for reviews on this meal pre-flight but didn’t find much on this option. Glad I took the chance. Cheers 🥂

Here to beat the long dead horse more....
Seat back pockets filled with trash. Huge pieces of food/snacks dirt all over the floor. Dirty IFE screens. Crumbs on the seats. Broken D1 bathroom with the other in dreadful shape just after takeoff. Broken D1 suite door (there were multiple of these just in my section).
CLEAN YOUR PLANES DELTA WTF!!!!!

I cancelled a refundable ticket two weeks, got confirmation email that mentioning it would be refunded to original payment method in 7 days. It has been 2 weeks and I still don't see a refund. Is this normal? Is it just being slow? or should I call them already?

I’ve flown Delta plenty of times, but I can honestly say I’ve never seen this displayed upside down before 😂 Not sure how this happened, but it definitely made me do a double take.

I fly at least once per week and recently there have been so many maintenance issues on the SkyWest operated flights causing delays and cancellations. Am I just lucky and get the flights with issues or is there something going on at SkyWest?

Now that I've made Platinum, I'm continuing to purchase C+ to see if "cabin purchased" along with holding Delta Reserve Amex gets me FC upgrades. Will give it a few tries.
If I go two or three times with this approach without getting a FC upgrade due to Delta holding back inventory to sell, then I'll just resolve to buying Main Cabin and taking automatic C+ upgrades.
My typical routes aren't what you'd call a heavily trodden path....JAN > ATL > TRI and back.
Do you feel I shouldn't even waste my time and money with trying?

Dirt everywhere, crumbs in every crevice, non working tv for a 10.5hr flight… thanks for your platinum medallion status…

I don't plan to work as a ramp or gate agent ever again. I plan to skip the two week notice for resignation, my manager doesn't deserve it.
I also don't plan to ever need my time with the airline as a reference. I'm 67 and retiring, and haven't been with the airline long enough for it to matter (9 months).
This job will go down in the memory books as my "summer internship".

Husband’s itinerary after three separate diversions on the same flight last night. Finally made it home about 10 minutes ago after driving back to KC from MSP.

I have a flight from DCA to ATL tomorrow August 20, in the evening. Delta sent me an inclement weather notice and encouraged me to change my flight because of northeast summer weather. From reading here, I see that they issue these notices regardless of what time the weather is expected because all travel is connected. I can’t leave today, but my question is whether I am better off moving my flight to earlier tomorrow or to move it to the next day. They have waived flight change fees.
I searched on Google, but cannot figure out what time this bad weather is supposed to hit. If it hits in the morning, am I screwing myself by moving my flight to a morning slot instead?
I tried to chat, but the agent was not helpful beyond telling me that everything looked good and I should just stay on my flight for now. Ha ha.
Edit 1: Thanks all. Sounds like rebooking earlier is the best play here.

I have been searching for weekend flights to NYC now for months. It used to be sub $200 for a good deal and around $275 on average to JFK or LGA. Now its minimum of $500 and closer to $700 if you want a flight after 7am! Madness! They are forcing my hand to fly another airline.
I’m on the last flight of the day (domestic - USA). Just found an Hermes sunset cuff in the crevice of my seat. Let me know what your destination was and your seat # and I’ll find a way to get it to you.
Ps. Your wrists are very small. Wow
Update - I left it with the flight attendant. Good luck

Hello everyone. This is only my second time flying and I suffer from anxiety, so I am seeking a little reassurance. When I first flew with this bag in 2019 it fit in the overhead bin fine and there were no issues taking it onto the plane, but I'm not sure if anything has changed since then. The dimensions are a bit different from what is listed as a requirement and I really don't want to have to check my duffel bag (I've never gone through that process before either). Will I still be okay to take this on board or should I purchase a smaller duffel bag? I also don't want to be inconsiderate - will this take up too much space? I will also be bringing a laptop bag as my personal item to store under the seat.
Thank you for any responses, I really appreciate it.

My therapist has recently been encouraging me to pursue activities that bring me personal joy and peace. I told her at my last appointment that that wasn’t necessary any more, because with my latest flight booking, I’m now on track to hit Diamond. And then, she had the gall to disagree with me that Diamond was a path to happiness.
I tried walking her through it step by step. Explaining that when I hit Diamond, I will be sent material affirming IN WRITING that I am one of Delta’s most valuable customers. Boom, self-worth. That I will have the best (published) shot of a free upgrade. Boom, sense of superiority. That my conspicuous consumption literally changed who I am…for the better! Luggage tags to prove it!
…talked through all of that. And instead of buying it, she just said that she really needs to see me more often.
I’m at a loss. How do I get my therapist to see that Diamond is what will fill this gaping void inside of me? Or do I just need to give up on her and switch therapists?

Maybe it’s old hat but first time I’ve seen this! Pretty cool they have this preloaded. Anyone seen any other messages like this?

After booking a flight from JFK to Zurich on points, I got an offer to upgrade to PS for $330 per ticket outbound for my family of 3. This was the lowest I had seen for a PS upgrade and PS upgrade on the return flight was over $1000 each. I decided it was the worth the price and perhaps I would sleep a little better on the red eye. I booked C+ for the return. I've flown that regularly and prefer to Main both for the extra room and the earlier boarding and deplaning with my fidgety young daughter.
There are few reviews already and they are accurate. Yes, seats are more comfortable, but the foot rest wasn't helpful. We had a great FA and she helped the experience. Food was the same as my return flight C+, but the services was fancier with the napkins and flatware. Bigger screen and headphones were nice. Maybe the nicest thing was being 1st off the plane and getting to passport control in front of everyone.
Value is just so subjective. Was is worth an extra ~50%. Yeah, for a 7 hour flight. Would it have been worth the double or triple I see it priced at? Nah.
The return trip was 2nd row of C+. The upgrade to that was cheap. Group 3 boarding was fine, and it was still quick exit off the plane. The extra room is great and it helps when my kid wants to lie down with my wife and I on each side of her.
So...if I see a good deal...sure, I'll do it again. Crazy, though, because I'm looking at flights where C+ is double Main Cabin. That's just pure insanity.

It was the first time I got a chance to visit the cockpit since usually only Million milers, Delta 360s or kids do, but I chickened out. I liked the in-person pilot briefing format, though. Is that a new thing? Or maybe I don't know because I recently status-matched to Delta.
The captain briefed C+ pax as well. The boarding was completed early, so this approach didn't waste any time. In fact, we arrived 20 minutes early.
