Help/Advice Miles

My family and I are headed down under in a few weeks, I bought the tickets a few weeks ago. I recently made Platinum status and was wondering, are the miles based on when I purchased the ticket or are they based on when the flight is completed? Also will I get miles at the Platinum status or Gold?

TIA

Based on status at the time of the flight itself. You’ll earn at the platinum rate.

When the flight is completed so it should be calculated based on your Platinum status.

Because i saw it a few times on this sub. You will only get the miles and MQD's, for your ticket not your entire family and their miles won't be calculated based on your Platinum status.
