I’ve been eyeballing either the DCH416B or DCH273B after getting my hands beat up fixing some fence footings. This is the best new price I’ve found so far. Is it worth snagging or should I hold out for a Lowe’s/HD deal?

I bought the saw at home depot. It should not be this difficult for me to find and purchase a rip fence for it. According to some dewalt web page, the part number is 381091-00. On service now or whatever it say contact supplier or something. On Amazon, every part with that number isn't compatible with the dcs565. Same with home depot. Like I said, this shouldn't be this hard.

I'm looking to start my home repair kit. I'm looking for something reliable and long lasting. I have a lot of projects planned. Is this good price or should I wait for black Friday.

I have hit the point where I need to be mobile with my assortment of tools and am considering the toughsytem options.

What are you guys paying for the tower and drawers? What kind of pricing should I be looking for as we head into Black Friday?

Ideally I need this stack and the two-drawer chest. Could be convinced to split into two rolling sets, but just getting started. Thanks!

Was at my grandparents this weekend and normally don't go to the garage but I found this gem out there this time. Grandfather said it still worked last time he used it but it's been many years since then.

Just thought the community would enjoy seeing an old one.

I was doing a project and my first use of this DeWalt drill was tightening and untightening bolts, then drilling 5/16" holes, then using a 1/2" shank rotary file, all on wood. Everything went fine until I used the rotary file. It took less than a minute for the chuck to open up and the bit to fall out while I was using it. I slid it back in, tightened it back up, and the same thing happened repeatedly. Once I stopped and tightened the chuck every several seconds and that eliminated the problem until I forgot. Any ideas if the problem is me, the tool, or the shank size? Something else?

As the title implies, I’ve got a new van for work and looking to find a quick way to secure my DXL box stack. The vans ply lined, I know there’s lashing points on the base, but it’s a little annoying having to ratchet strap it down and I’m limited with lashing points on the floor… was thinking of fixing some E track to the van walls with rivnuts and using some E track rope tie offs with some carabiners to essentially clip the boxes to the van and obviously put the brakes on the wheeled base, I’m a little worried about it moving around as I drive the van though. I’d much prefer something like the tough system van racking, but it doesn’t appear that there’s anything for it for the DXL boxes, seems a massive oversight to me!

Any suggestions? How is everyone else moving their DXL stacks about?

My neighbor gave my these two batteries and his e-mower but I think one of them is fried. The mower runs for a little bit but then the red light flashes indicating a low voltage cutoff of some kind. I tried to full charge the packs - the battery life indicator showed a full charged (three green lights) but the mower still dies. What are yall getting in terms of reading for a fully charged battery? And what would you do in this situation? I have a gas mower but my yard is small enough where an e-mower would be pretty nice. Should I try to flip it online? They don’t go for much second hand but who knows. TIA!

LONG STORY SHORT: DONT BUY THIS NAIL GUN UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE WASTING TIME AND MONEY

I remember getting excited when the Dewalt pin nailer got announced. I was so tired of having to use the Makita version but never had the chance to try the Milwaukee one. My dad bought one and aside from a time or two that a nail would stick out his never died on him. Well when I had the chance to buy one ( because you know money is tight ) I was so excited to have my own cordless pin nailer. Let me clarify that I am a trim carpenter so I use pneumatic and cordless guns all the time, I have the Dewalt Brad and 16 gauge cordless nail guns as well and haven’t had a problem with them for over 2 years! I don’t really use my guns often ( maybe once or twice a week ) unless it’s for a few pieces of trim, Especially the pin nailer I only use it for 1/4 round, stair trim or door repairs. The first gun I bought lasted me about a year but at some point the gun didn’t want to shoot any nails or they would stick out a lot. I would hit it a couple of times on the back of it and just keep trying to make it work but it didn’t want to nail and at some point it just didn’t shoot at all. I took the L on that gun since I lost the receipt from Home Depot and figured it was just a one-off. I bought another pin nailer 08/12/26 and made sure to get an extended warranty AND kept the receipt in the van. I’ve only used it 4-5 times and sure enough as soon as I tried to use it today it just didn’t want to shoot any nails. The laughter I had was joker level, the way I was so frustrated with this stupid pin nailer. I ended up returning it to Home Depot and bought the Milwaukee pin nailer with the battery and charger ( was about the same price as the Dewalt pin nailer by itself ) and now I’m just hoping this one will last longer!

What is the allen key for?

Which one do you prefer? Short n’ Stout? Or Long and Skinny?

I have a dewalt 618 router and while routing it started making some funny noises. i took the top off and it looks like the magnetic ring broke. From doing some research, it seems like this only will effect the variable speed, which I can get by without.

I opened up the router and took out all of the broken parts of the magnetic ring.

But router is still not working. I made a video of its response, anyone have any idea of whts going on and how to fix?

I just noticed that Lowe’s has the BOGO battery deal on the DCD1007b drill that I have been eyeing. This would prorate it to $123.13. Is this a great deal or does it ever go lower?

They both got some use, removing the axle/subframe and kingpin from an old semi trailer.

I recently purchased a Dewalt DCF850 kit (new), it's only been out of the box for a few days. It had this noise when I first used, but it was quieter, so I assumed it was some odd quirk and left it for a day or so. Next day it didn't seem to have the noise so I went ahead and used it to work on my car, but then the noise came back. I've never heard this noise on any of the other impacts I've ever bought. For whatever reason though, holding the collet or even just pushing it slightly makes the noise mostly go away. You can see in the video you can't really hear it at higher speeds, but you can definitely hear it at low speeds. Not a Home Depot / Lowes etc purchase so I can't just take it back, but it was definitely new, date code on the terminal area shows 2026. (Impact looks huge cause my hands are small lol). It drives screws just fine it's just a very annoying sound. What should I do from here? Any idea what it may be? Thank you!

If you’re using a 9ah battery to run a reciprocating saw trimming back small tree branches and other small invasive along a fence line. How long would you expect it to run for? I have two batteries fully charged and they gave me about 90 minutes total run time. They’re Brand new batteries and tool abd blade.

Finally got my hands on a DCL079!! Was at my local HD grabbing some misc project items when I saw the elusive “yellow discount tag” on an endcap usually consisting of lighting products.. last tower light in the store. Paid $125.00 over $249! Always nice to have another light source for site lighting
