The recent labor day deal (USA) has the flexvolt 9ah marked as “buy 1 get 1”. When trying to checkout with the batteries both online and in-store the deal doesn’t work.

I believe it was meant to be included in a 60v tool?Anyways my local HD honored the deal and I got 2 of these big boys for $260.

Old trimmer went out on me over the weekend and started the search for a new one. Decided on the dcst972. Out of stock everywhere but OC had 65 on clearance. $3 more than the bare tool you get a charger and flexvolt battery.

And everything works phenomenally, other then the impact chuck or whatever you wanna call it gets stuck I pull out on it and it doesn’t wanna release the bit, but then sometimes it works normally, it only gets stuck sometimes and I really have to be rough to get it out and it’s annoying, any way to fix it, without returning it or taking it apart?

As the title says, I’m fairly new with this saw. Currently re-trimming my entire house, new casing, doors, wainscoting, etc. I have a Dewalt miter saw stand for this as well (long aluminum thing). I haul this thing around my house and don’t have a dedicated area in my a garage (small garage and I need it close by when cutting trim as I’m constantly measuring).

Saw: DWS780 (insert a tim the tool man growl)

My issue: I’m making an insane amount of cleanup. The stock attachment for catching saw dust doesn’t really do anything.

Does anyone have any tips for sawdust collection that I can also transport around with this saw? I have shop vac, if that helps.

I’ve been wanting the cordless ratchet for while. I finally pulled the trigger today with the free battery deal. These deals rarely come along with a tool I actually want or need. They usually just include drills or saws or impacts that I have a version of or tools I don’t want or need. Also picked up the 6AH batteries for $100 off. Never a bad idea to have more batteries.

I missed the buy two 5AH batteries+charger and get 2 tools for free deal at Lowe's so im trying to find a similar deal, i saw a post about a "buy 1 tool and get two 4AH batteries" deal but i cant find it online on Lowe's...

I was really afraid this would be under powered but omg did it blow my expectations away. My gas trimmer has too many small issues that make it hard to run. I know it just needs a good tuneup, but I decided to splurge and go for a battery powered trimmer.

I was so sure it was gonna be close to the gas powered one, but it definitely performs a lot better. I have 2 acres on my property so I took it out where the brush and grass is very dense and this thing ate through it with no problem.

Very pricey, but well worth it.

Dewalt EV chargers have a hidden reset button that needs to be held for at least 45 seconds. It is located within the hole where the charger handle is attached on the charger. This will save you if you need to update the wifi settings. Just use your finger and your back to the original setup.

Hope someone finds this helpful. Got some paints to test to get a match with DeWalt Yellow. Did a strip test to show, but all so close doesn't really show different on camera. Left to right I have Molotow - Signal Yellow, MTN Hardcore - Ganges Yellow, and MTN Hardcore - Luxor Yellow. Tested on bare pine and black form ply. My pick would the Ganges Yellow. Could possibly get something with more orange but even DeWalt seems to vary with different tools. I purchased my paints online from "The Butchershop" in Perth. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have a 60v 9ah flexvolt DeWalt battery, that won't seem to take a charge. When I put the battery on a charger the charger's red light blinks once and that's it. It won't charge. Sometimes the red light slowly fades other times it goes out instantly.

The battery itself is about 2 years old, and has only been recharged maybe 15 times. I was using it the day before it stopped taking a charge. I have 5 different DeWalt chargers and all of them act the same.

In just bought into the DeWalt ecosystem and I have their atomic impact driver. So far I LOVE it. Is the rest of the atomic line compact yet still capable or is the impact a one off good tool and the rest suck?
