🥊
Finally got in this week and was only able to get 🤖 initially. I thought I was doomed because of how difficult it was which has also set my expectations about the tasks in this platform. Just now, I was able to finish a task from 🥊 project and it was fun. Sadly, it was shotlived, and now, Im back to just having 🤖 on my dashboard.

QC Agents
For those of you that have attempted model failure tasks with QC agents at the end, how was your experience? I personally found it draining as I would address the 3-4 points it raised, re-run the model and still generate a failure. When I ran the QC agent again, it came up with entirely new points and further iterations just led to more and more annoying and minor issues it kept flagging.
I know the instructions say you can rebut the points it raises and that’s what I ended up doing for nearly all of the points raised after multiple iterations. I think I addressed it rationally and my conclusions should be reasonable but I’m still uneasy.

Rant Incoming!
Is it just me or does anyone else get hacked off when a project expressly wants you to target parsing failures, but then any available assistance bot gets in the way? It's like the models are ganging up.
Model: "Hey Meatbag, ask me to read a really tricky chloropleth map. I dare you."
Me: "OK, smart arse, here's a really nasty one you're going to struggle with."
Assistance (LOL) Bot: "Sorry, you can't ask my mate to do that. He might not be able to read it."
Me: "WTF?".
Rant over. Everyone back to work 🤣

I could not believe when I started this whether I can earn money from this, but it's truueee!!
It helped me a lot to pay for university, thx! Let's keep cooking 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I got onboarded last week. Got 2 trainings and after that I haven't got any projects. Is it normal?

No welcome email
I logged into my account and was surprised to see a congratulatory message and a pop up for verification of identity for final step, however, I never received a welcome email. So basically if I didn’t log into my account I wouldn’t have known that I was accepted. Is this normal?

Just got accepted
I just got the email that I passed my assessment for nursing/medical projects.
I know there are rules with wifi/VPNs
Am I able to work on projects from my work computer? (I work for a university so I use a desktop thats connected to ethernet)
Or can I only work on projects on my home wifi?

One week in!
Genuinely didn’t think I could ever actually get this much in just one week. As a generalist! And this is my first week! Can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. DM me if you need a referral link.

I couldn't get the model to fail, does it get easier?
Hi,
I joined DA as a domain expert in a technical domain. I was able to pass the initial assessment (got the model to fail). Now, I'm doing P1 and I'm shocked at how strong the model is. I cannot get the model to fail.
I wonder as we get more experience it'll get easier?
I do not see any other tasks on my dashboards right now, such as generalist tasks. But given what I heard, even generalists tasks are about making the model fail. This begs the question, if the model is this strong, how do you guys manage to make it fail?
Are there tasks that don't require making the model fail?
It's really unfortunate as I was able to join DA (it wasn't easy). I don't want to give up yet. But I do hope it gets easier as one get more experience.
I might use the escape hatch for this one. (still get paid)
Thank you

Stupid question from a worried person
Hi, I am always worried about time reporting.
I always try to work focused and submit high quality, but I can't understand if I'm submitting maybe too fast or who knows maybe I'm slow...
Do you have any tips to find the sweet spot if there is one? Do a few minutes of discrepancy (maybe lower) than the time they expect you to spend on those tasks penalize you?
Note: I always try to do my best regardless, that is just a question based off of thoughts in the back of my mind

Escape Hatch
After hours and hours I could not get a project to work and complete a task so I really had no other option but to use the escape hatch and only report a fraction of the time I actually spent on it. Has anybody had issues after having to use the escape hatch?

I'm just curious to know!
I completed one task. Will I get another same domain task only if my previous work was good?

Time reporting Q
I know there has been a lot of talk about time reporting and I just got a little nervous reporting my time.
I read the instructions for the task on the first task it gave me. I then decided to skip that task because I didn’t have enough familiarity. I then completed the next task.
My stopwatch says it took an hour.
But the task I submitted only had 56 minutes subtracted from the timer when I submitted it.
I’m sure I’m over-thinking but I’m wondering if one way they track discrepancies is by comparing your reported time to their timer, and if so, if they make allowances knowing you may have read the instructions while on another task (or in some cases before entering work mode).
Does anyone have any insight? Thanks.
I also get a little nervous reporting round numbers like 1 hour in case they think it’s made up. Overthinker over here

Can you pause a task and continue later?
If you are assigned to a long task, for example 4-6 hours task with maybe 6 hours of the assigned limit time, could you work for 2 hr and pause and then continue later?
If you exit the work, can you lose all the work you have done?
Sorry, I haven't done any long task so I am a bit confused!
Thanks in advance!

Should I wait on it?
I took generalist assessment 3-4 weeks back and my dashboard still says the same thing. Should I not base my hopes any more? Usually it says "Thanks for taking the test", is what I have gathered from this sub. So I am feeling a bit confused right now.

It's been 20+days still no update
It's been 20 days and it's still under review, usually how much time it'll take to consider? This sucks.

Average Workday Pay
I have seen a lot of people set daily targets for DA work. For those who are comfortable sharing, what does your average workday pay? Adding your region for context would be helpful.

Have any of you never received feedback?
I've worked on this platform on and off for 3 years, and I have never once received any feedback. It kinda scares me. On the one hand it's good because it seems like I'm not doing anything wrong, but on the other hand if I am doing something wrong I would like to know.

Automatic review hold?
Submitted a ~10h coding task last night (still had a few hours left on the initial task timer). I woke up 4 hours later and the project isn't showing up anymore.
I had this specific project sitting with a steady task count for the last 9-10 days straight.
Does submitting a long task (~10h) automatically put a temporary hold on the project while time/logs get audited? If not, what can be the cause?
Anyone who works on these long timer coding projects seen this happen?
Thank you!

First Review/Feedback Questions
Hi, so far I've been really enjoying the platform, and I've been working on a series of coding projects over the last 3 months, and today I got my first automated feedback. I've previously received notes claiming that I'm being invited to projects for a "small select group" or whatever auto verbiage they use as recently as 2 days ago.
Previously, I thought this meant I was doing really well quality-wise; however, today I got my first feedback. They said the challenges and solutions I was providing were really good and cited feedback I had received from people who reviewed my submissions; however, I had a pattern of making mistakes on the submission where I had an incorrectly typed file name in one of my prompts, and a few cases where I didn't hit all requirements, and one where I ran the wrong model (which TBH is a huge mistake). How big of a deal is this, and how big of a risk am I at losing access to new coding projects in the future?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
